Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att undersöka hur specifika övningar inom improvisation och komposition kan användas som hjälp för elever och lärare med ämnet koreografi. Det pedagogiska förhållningssättet som har använts i studien är Design för lärande: didaktiskt design 1 som syftar till att designa och iscensätta lärande genom att forma sociala processer, resurser, medier och miljöer. Didaktisk design iscensattes genom att konstruera specifika övningar inom improvisation och koreografi i relation till läroplaner inom ämnet Dansgestaltning samt till tidigare forskning. Genomförandet innefattade improvisationsklasser under tre veckor där eleverna fick ta del av övningar som innefattade återskapning, användandet av ett annat medium samt övningar inom begreppen body, space och time. Vidare användes videodokumentation och intervju som en del av datainsamlingen. Resultatet visade att övning och träning inom improvisation och koreografi är en stor del för att kunna arbeta med området. Via verktyg som lärare kan ta del av kan specifika övningar hjälpa elever att koreografera. Arbetet utmynnade även i ett kompendium med övningar. / The aim of this degree project has been to investigate how specific exercises in improvisation and composition can be used to assist students and teachers with the subject of choreography. The pedagogical approach that has been used in the study is Design for Learning, Didactic Design 1, which aims at designing and engineering learning by formulating social processes, resources, media and environments. Didactic design was staged by constructing specific exercises within improvisation and choreography in relation to curricula within Dansgestaltning and to previous research. The implementation included improvisation classes for three weeks where the pupils were allowed to take part of exercises that included recreation, the use of another medium and exercises within the concepts body, space and time. Implementation included video documentation and interview as part of the data collection. The result showed that exercise and training in improvisation and choreography is a large part of being able to work with the subject. Through tools that teachers can take part in, specific exercises can help students to choreograph. The work also resulted in a compendium of exercises.
