Papežová Nikola: Water in the landscape - educational projects for pupils of basic schools Diploma Thesis, 2016 Faculty of Education, Charles Univerzity in Prague, Department of Biology and Environmental Studies Supervisor: prof. RNDr. Lubomír Hanel, CSc. The aim of the diploma thesis is to create the unit plan, which is mainly intended for students in 5 th grades of Czech primary schools. Educational programs have been created for conditions in terms of the analysis of the topic of Water in the landscape. The practical outcome of this work is the development of two educational programs - Life in wetlands and Waterworld (methodology for teachers). Furthermore, there are worksheets which were used in the context of the pretest, posttest-1 and posttest - 2 to evaluate effectiveness of proposed programs. Educational programs were practically tested in a selected group of 5th grade students at primary school. Key words: water, landscape, educational program, worksheets

The dissertation takes an interest in a creation of a management plan for Velkokarlovicko in Wallachien region. The reason of the creation was the forming of instrument for planning, protection usage and sustainable development of Velke Karlovice as a national significant territory. The landscape analysis of model area was made considering its history, wider landscape bonds, value and problems of the area. Consequently it was evaluated contemporary landscape use, users demands, actual management and the territory projection and possibilities of subsidies. After discovery of actual state of affairs it was defined key problems of territory management regarding owners relationships and management area, economics interests and tourism. The result is proposal aims and developement strategy of the area by forming of management plan.

The thesis deals with the issue of natural habitats in wider context. Literature search gives a brief overview of the basic concepts and it shows the possibilities of landscape architecture in the creation and protection of landscape. Slatina river valley, in which the number of habitats of European and national importance are located, was chosen as a model area for this thesis. A primary, secondary and tertiary structure of the country has been evaluated as a basis for further evaluation and proposal. In the model area there were mapped the habitats and their ecological and socio-economic assessment was performed by the field investigation. Based on the identified knowledge, the management area was designed for preserve natural habitats. Knowledge are summarized in conclusion and own opinion on the issue is formulated. The work includes own photo documentation.

This dissertation is divided into two major parts. The first one is dealing with churchyard forms with respect to garden and landscape architecture and with basic history of funeral rite in the Bohemian territory (with emphasis on the burial site). The data have been retrieved from available texts and electronic resources. The other part is focused on a model region, i.e. Týnec u Janovic nad Úhlavou in Western Bohemia and could be further divided into three sections. The first one is dedicated to analysis of the landscape surrounding the village and churchyard, and the outcome is depicted on the enclosed land-use map. The second section examines current condition of the churchyard while the third one proposes several concepts of its future reconstruction. There are four layouts presented, which take into account history, significance and potential of the place and particularly the remarkable character of its neighborhood.

Thesis Settlement, Building, Garden and Landscape deals with wider relationships between these aspects and its goal was to investigate the moments of these relationships creating the environment for life. The topic of this text is a description, definition and analysis of the context and relation between landscape and garden. The reason and focus of the analysis is to find, define and evaluate the substance and to emphasize its importance, with respect to the landscape enhancement aspect of garden. Before the dissertation definitions were formulated, the areas were learned about, a survey was made, data about places collected, movement in the areas depending on the nature of their use was performed. The next stage was the perception, thinking over the evaluation of the given examples based on personal judgments and theses, from subjective point of view but with well-founded experience, study of the issue and sensitivity. For the assessment and conclusions of the results, several questions were determined common to all topics of the dissertation. The questions were linked among the individual topics of the settlement, buildings and gardens. The relationship between them and the landscape was the foundation. What is the place for a settlement, building and a garden? How are they functionally connected with the landscape? How are they located in the landscape? How are they seated in their environment, how are they inspired by it and how do they affect it? How do they use the properties of the area? How does landscape with its aspects enter the settlement, building and garden? What are the boundaries and character of the garden with reference to countryside? The basic principle and conclusion of this study is that the garden, located in the landscape, or in context with it, should get inspired by the specific qualities of the place where it is located.

They are preserved remains of traditional, sustainable landscape management and they are increasing the natural and cultural diversity of the environment. Despite their importance, historical landscape structures are not legally protected. The practical part of thesis deals with historical landscape structures in the Badin cadastral area. Beside the HLS evaluation, the main goal is to provide an outcome for a community -- Selected historical landscape structures management proposal for Badin cadastral area.

Modern art in landscape Summary The subject of the thesis is landscaping with the use of modern arts. In the first part it focuses on correct interpretation of key words such as landscape, art and culture. Those areas are then analysed from the point of view of historical context . Mutual interaction of two seemingly different subjects such as landscape and modern art is analysed and closely inspected. It is necessary to take into account all approaches to landscaping to be able to implement modern element into the landscape. In the first part the thesis analysis the evaluation of landscape character and landscape As a whole; how landscape influences people an what are its values. Preservation of the landscape and it's attributes depend On defying It's nature protection. Part of the thesis focuses on those subjects as well, legislative as well as natural protection of nature. What could today's landscape offer is disscused in the part of the thesis concerning values of the landscape, how the landscape is perceived and what is the esthetic value of landscape. Landscaping in today's modern era encompass entwining historically significant At the same time necessary and for the future unavoidable element so its functional and esthetic values Are preserved for future generations. The model example solves such entwining of historical landscape and proposed motorway. There is a thread of fragmentation of the landscape and its use not only for local inhabitants and eco systems. At the same time modern art is applied as a means of unification. The art is becoming a tool which is capable to recharge landscape. Art reconnects the fragmented landscape and brings other values for future generations. The case study suggests Last art trends applied to the landscape. During the disscusion it brings a summary of expressive funds and techniquies. Here the thesis also conveys a thought of current tendency of modern art. During land consolidation is one of the main indicators of the effectiveness of implementation. Just monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of completed comprehensive land consolidation is the subject of this thesis. They were examined factors that can influence the process of land consolidation. These factors include the concentration index, duration of treatment, the number of lands, the size of the perimeter landscaping and etc. The evaluation was carried out in terms of their changes before and after landscaping. The findings of these factors can help speed up the process and improve its performance. Finished comprehensive land consolidation were monitored and evaluated in the Liberec Region and Vysocina Region.

Evaluates current landscape and the landscape, which was already a fundamental discovery of species composition partially restored area by forest reclamation near the village Braňany . The affected area is processed solution proposal planting trees at the local municipality level, so as to achieve optimum smoothing effects of mining on the landscape and in terms of biological reclamation. The first section summarizes the historical development of brown coal mining in the Czech Republic but also in other important areas of logging, impact of mining on the landscape and the landscape, respect for reclamation or leaving the landscape of succession with regard to natural characteristics. In conclusion, this work is a concrete proposal, addressing state area to its original state, planting trees, bushes and trees, mostly domestic species. From the botanical point of view, there are no trees or buildings, which we They are having special attention. Abstract Disertation Historic development of landscape structure in the context of the potencional treatened earth water erosion, discribes the process of changes with usage landscape, which took place in cadastral area Vráž u Berouna, Tuchoměřice and Lanžov in královohradecký region. Total expanse all of these areas is 2 315,8 ha. Selecting areas was held on the planned complex landscaping, becouse of practical use of the change of landscape, which had an impact on water erosion. Pictures, which were chosen for this job are from 1952, 1975 and 2003. The reason for choosing these pictures are equal distance and that the most important influence on remoulding the landscape which have taken place since the 50s of the 20th century due to agriculture collectivization. Content of literary reserch is to approach the basic concepts, which have connections with the landscape and the assessment its structure including USLE, which deals with the calculation of erosion. For calculation of processes and changes in the landscape exist many tools and methods. In this work ,is analysis and calculation of erosion done with help of geographic informatiom system (GIS). Very important part of this wokr is to interpret the results in the form of map output, tables and graphs.
