Dlouhodobý výpadek elektrické energie v České republice / Long-term Electric Power Failure in the Czech Republic

KADLECOVÁ, Zdeňka January 2011 (has links)
The electric power is one of the key products without which functioning of our society would be hard to imagine. The electricity distribution network is an interconnected system comprising of a manufacturing part producing electricity from various sources, a transmission system of conductors and equipment, distribution systems of high and low voltage, and of technical control stations suitably distributed to control the whole network. Energy security means ensuring continuity of necessary supplies of energy and energy services to accommodate the protected interests of the state. A long-term electric power failure may have serious consequences for the state security, for providing for basic subsistence needs of the population, individual?s health or the state economy. For their maintenance under ordinary as well as emergency conditions it is particularly necessary to ensure functioning of critical infrastructure. The aim of this thesis is to examine the level of preparedness of the subjects within the critical infrastructure for a long-term interruption of electric power supplies and to create a draft of an emergency preparedness plan of a subject within the critical infrastructure focused on a long-term electric power failure. The research part of the thesis has two parts. The first part includes processing and analysis of the data acquired though a questionnaire survey. The second one presents a draft of the emergency preparedness plan of a subject within the critical infrastructure. The results of the questionnaire survey showed a good readiness of the critical infrastructure for a long-term, extensive electric power failure, which confirms the set hypothesis. The thesis introduces the public, particularly the subjects of the critical infrastructure, to the possibilities of occurrence of long-term, extensive electric power failures, with available prevention of such emergency situations and their preparation, planning and solving. The presented emergency plan draft should help with preparation of an emergency readiness plan of a subject within the critical infrastructure, including outlining the ways to solve emergency situations that may arise in relation with a power failure, and thus to improve protection of the critical infrastructure elements.

Setkání ve Wat Dhammakittiwongu / Encounters at the Wat Dhammakittiwong

Kroulík, Milan January 2017 (has links)
(in English) This paper is based on field-work performed in a Thai Buddhist Temple (Wat) in Prague in the year 2016. The aim is to describe and in describing analyze rituals organized in and through the temple from a materialist phenomenological point of view, as well as based on an ideal-type Theravāda cosmology. In drawing on post-colonial philosophy, part of the focus lies also on the process of becoming other. This is achieved in situating practice and mimesis (based on the anthropologist Michael Taussig's theory) at the center of methodological inquiry. Each chapter is based on different expected and unexpected encounters at the Wat, and offers a possible solution to the issues that these encounters raised.

Feminismus v českém mediálním diskurzu: případová studie / Feminism in Czech media discourse: a case study

Kindlová, Šárka January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the critical discourse analysis (CDA) of the media texts concerning the abolition of the Women's Scenes Photographic Exhibition: Scenes in the Library within the framework of the Week of Science and Technology Week of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to map out linguistic and narrative strategies aimed at achieving communication success and dominance within the discourse of the event. During the elaboration of the theme, a corpus was created, containing 61 texts published in printed media, Internet media, radio and television news coverage during October 2015 to January 2016. The analysis criticizes Ruth Wodak's qualitative discourse- historical method (DHA) for central themes, concepts, social Actors and stereotypes, and these findings are confronted with the relevant socio-historical context of the development of the women's movement in the world and Czech context, the education of women and their position in society.

Országh, Martin January 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with project management and with different ways in which can be cur-rently approached. Beside the conventional, classical approach based on processes, modern approaches based on the theory of constraints and agile principles are discussed. Based on analysis, the main objective of the thesis is firstly to find weaknesses in the classical project management and strong key elements of modern approaches and after that to make suggestions to enhance the classical approach with the selected strong elements of modern approaches.

Vybrané testy jednotkových kořenů v časových řadách / Selected Unit Root Tests in Time series

Fedorová, Darina January 2015 (has links)
The emphasis of this diploma thesis is placed on the verification of stationarity in time series using the Unit Root Tests and their most common modifications that are introduced in the theoretical part of this paper. Tests mainly by Dickey and Fuller, Phillips and Perron, and KPSS test are introduced as well as their modifications in the form of ERS, Ng and Perron, and Leybourne and McCabe tests. Moreover the HEGY test for testing stationarity in the seasonal Time series and Perron test of structural breaks for Time series with shocks are described. There is also outlined the process of testing multiple Unit Roots. The empirical part of this paper consists of simulations of AR(1) time series generated using the software R, their testing for stationarity by selected Unit Root tests and the comparison of power of these tests. The conclusion includes recommendations which tests and under what conditions are the most suitable for testing Time series for the presence of Unit Root.

Prezentace společenských aktérů v novoročních projevech britských premiérů / Representation of Social Actors in New Year Speeches of British Prime Ministers

Hromuško, Radek January 2021 (has links)
1 ABSTRACT This diploma thesis, grounded in the theoretical framework of Critical Discourse Analysis, aims to analyse the textual representations of social actors in the New Year speeches of British Prime Ministers. The corpus consists of New Year speeches from the New Year of 2012 to the New Year of 2020. These textual encodings do not need to point directly to the social actors that actually exist in the social world. Instead, they tend to reveal certain ideas that the text-producers have about the social actors. Therefore, the way in which the text-producer portrays a social actor serves as a means of reproducing his or her ideology. In the theoretical part, the purpose of the thesis is considered from the position of Critical Discourse Analysis. Then, the ways of representing social actors in texts are explored together with their impact on ideology and its reproduction. Also, the characteristics of pronouns that can affect the portrayal of these actors are described. The practical part seeks to analyse the New Year speeches with respect to textual means of representing social actors. In doing so, it provides an explanatory critique which aims to reveal what ideas are encoded in textual representations, how they are communicated and how the portrayal of the social actors can affect the recipients. Politizace jazykové otázky v Ukrajině: diskurzivní konstrukce jazyka, nacionalismu a identity v ukrajinských médiích. / The politicization of the language issue in Ukraine: the discursive construction of the language, nationalism, and identity in Ukrainian media.

Hu, Qianrui January 2021 (has links)
Despite already thirty years after gaining independence, Ukraine is still having difficulties forming an integral and united national identity. The language issue in Ukraine is a vivid example of the problem Ukraine is confronting. Numerous efforts have been made with the aim to strengthen the role of the Ukrainian language, but the presence of the Russian language in Ukraine is still strong. Furthermore, the battle between these two languages often provokes huge public debates, and the debates do not revolve around the language use itself, but usually associate it with the wider debate of the Ukrainian common memory. Although much research has been devoted to analysing the narratives of relevant language laws, the discourses of Ukrainian politicians, or public opinions of the language issue and their links with people's political orientation, this thesis will focus on the discourses of media, an equally important site which represents and reproduces everyday nationalism. By adopting the methodology of critical discourse analysis, this work aims to uncover what are the common themes behind the everyday debate on the language issue in Ukrainian media and what are the typical mechanisms and strategies in the language use of media discourses to facilitate propagating their language ideologies. After a...

Klíčové vlastnosti vybraných tenzidů pro test odolnosti vysokohustotního polyetylénu metodou napěťového krípu / Key factors of selected tensides used for full notch creep test of high density polyethylene

Křivánková, Eliška January 2021 (has links)
The thesis deals with the study of surface-active properties, zeta potential, particle size and adhesion of surfactants (Arkopal N110, Igepal CO-520, Igepal CO-890, Dehyton PL, sodium dodecyl sulfate and dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide) selected for full notch creep test method. To determine the surface phenomena occuring in a solution due to their presence at 25, 50 and 80 °C, the Du Noüy ring method of surface tension measurement was used. The importance of factors such as concentration, ionic character and the molecular structure of the surfactants, temperature and dispersion media (pH, purity) were analysed. Dynamic light scattering measurements were performed in order to evaluate the particle size and the electrophoresis method was used to determine the zeta potential. The results were compared to the contact angle measurements, i. e. adhesion tendency between surfactant solutions and the surface of selected types of high density polyethylene. The optical analysis was used to evaluate the contact angle. The negative impact of water purity was negated. The temperature dependecy was specific for each of the examined surfactant species, however the relationship between temperature and the length of hydrophilic chain was discovered. Alkaline pH was less convenient for amphoteric surfactant than acid or neutral environment, but this might have been caused by components contained in the buffer. The character of surfactant solutions was mostly monodisperse. The only exceptions were 1mM Igepal CO-520 and 3mM Dehyton PL. Further investigation led to conclusion that the molecules tend to form agglomerates. Adhesion was in accordance with surfactant effectiveness of surface reduction and adsorption. However, this theory did not match the data obtained from testing acid and neutral Dehyton PL solutions' adhering to polyethylene species containing carbon black.
