Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka vilka tankar elever och deras lärare harkring läsförståelse och läsförståelsestrategier. Vi vill undersöka om eleverna harstrategier och vilka dessa är och om det är samma i svenskämnet som imatematikämnet. Dessutom vill vi undersöka vilka läsförståelsestrategier som de trorgynnar elever i svårigheter. Undersökningsmetoden är kvalitativ och vi använder oss avsemistrukturerade intervjuer med elever i skolår sex och fokusgruppsintervju medlärare. Resultatet visar att elever uttrycker få tankar om vad läsförståelse är och vi kanskönja att uppfattningar är begränsade till främst enskilda skolämnen. Lärarna menar attläsförståelse handlar om att läsa mellan raderna. Eleverna har olikaläsförståelsestrategier och strategier som används inom svenskämnet är desamma sominom matematiken förutom skillnaden att det tillkommer strategier som handlar omberäkningar inom matematikämnet. Eleverna ger förslag på strategier för elever sombefinner sig i svårigheter som skiljer sig från de strategier de själva använder. / The purpose of this essay was to explore what thoughts pupils and their teachers have on the topic of reading comprehension and reading comprehension strategies. We examined whether pupils were aware of if they use deliberate comprehension strategies in reading and which these are and whether the strategies are the same in Mathematics as in the Swedish language as a school subject. In addition, we examine the reading comprehension strategies that they believe will benefit students in difficulties. The methodology is qualitative and we used semi-structured interviews with pupils in the school year six and a focus group interview with teachers. The results show that students express few thoughts about what reading comprehension is and their suggestions are restricted mainly to specific school topics. The teachers believe that reading comprehension is much about inferential reading, i.e reading between the lines. The pupils have different reading comprehension strategies and approaches used within Swedish as a school subject. The comprehension strategies are the same in the Swedish subject and in the Mathematics subject, with the exception that in Mathematics there emerged strategies dealing with calculations. The students in our study suggested other and different strategies for students with special educational needs than they themselves use.
