Prévention nutritionnelle des maladies cardiovasculaires : comportement alimentaire et apports en polyphénols / Nutritional prevention of cardiovascular diseases : dietary behaviour and polyphenol intakesAdriouch, Solia 12 June 2017 (has links)
Nutrition is one of the modifiable environmental factors that may have a major role in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases (CVD). In this context, in etiological epidemiology, there has been a growing interest in polyphenols – bioactive components that are potentially protective. Hence, the general objective of the work presented in this thesis was to study the link between the quality of the diet and CVD, based on data from the French cohorts SU.VI.MAX and NutriNet-Santé.The first objective was to study the prospective association between an individual score measuring the overall quality of the diet (the FSA-NPS DI) and CVD risk, in the context of a French national primary prevention strategy aiming to apply a coloured front-of-package label (the 5C label). The second objective was to examine the association of dietary intakes of different polyphenols with CVD risk and with weight change, using the Phenol-Explorer® composition table. Finally, the third objective was to compare the food and nutrient consumptions and lifestyle behaviours of NutriNet-Santé participants presenting a CVD or a cardiometabolic disorder with those of ‘control’ participants. Concerning the first objective, our results indicated that the choice of foods of a lower nutritional quality, as reflected by a higher FSA-NPS DI score, was associated with an increase in CVD risk – in particular among overweight or obese participants of the NutriNet-Santé cohort, and among participants of the SU.VI.MAX cohort that were smokers or had a low physical activity level. Concerning the second objective, our results indicated that anthocyanins, catechins, flavonols, dihydrochalcones, dihydroflavonols, hydroxybenzoic acids, other phenolic acids and stilbenes were associated with a lower CVD risk. Our results also indicated that a higher intake of total polyphenols as well as a higher intake of falvones, flavanones, proanthocyanins, lignans and hydroxycinnamic acids was associated with a less pronounced increase in body mass index and waist circumference over 6 years. Concerning the third objective, we have shown that adults presenting a CVD or a cardiometabolic disorder had less beneficial behaviours than control participants of the same age and sex, in terms of physical activity, smoking status, and the consumption of alcohol, fruits and vegetables, whole grain cereals, of meat and particularly of processed meat. In addition, we have observed a lower intake of most polyphenol categories among patients. Our results thus provide indications on the nutritional elements that should be at the centre of secondary and tertiary prevention strategies, so as to improve the treatment of CVD and cardiometabolic dysfunctions once that they are diagnosed. To conclude, this thesis contributes to a better understanding of the role of nutritional factors in the development of CVD, using both holistic and specific (through polyphenols) approaches. These results are of interest for future prevention strategies that aime at reducing the risks of CVD through nutrition.

This study refers to the use of computers and the LOGO program as a tool of Plan Geometry teaching concepts and its implication in the learning process. In the analysis of these implications I use a qualitative and participative research methodology that takes into account the several arised aspects observed in the use of the computers. The mainly ones are those related to: the affective interactions of children relationship with the computer and the educational program used; the social aspects that are inherent to the development of activities in a collaborative learning environment; the development of work groups rules and the moral autonomy. My analysis has the Piaget's psychogenetic theory as reference, where I topicalize (give prominence to) the development of affective ness and the social interactions role along the teaching and learning process. Within this outline (profile) my assumptions are that the use of the computer promotes a real improvement in the learning environment as ways of enrichment of this environment favoring the outstanding cognitive development of children.

This work is about a pedagogical intervention for 9th graders students of EJA (Young and adults course) whose intention is to analyze, ineterpret and investigate, from the perspective of Comparative Literature, dialogic procedures between the tales Fita Verde no Cabelo, nova velha est?ria, e Herbarium, from Guimar?es Rosa and Lygia Fagundes Telles, respectively, emphasizing the construction of the image of the female subject in the tales in question. In this study, we also try to understand the language of the stories, its most relevant aspects, often shaped by the symbolic representation, recurrent feature in the stories of these writers.
The choice of these two works and authors was due to the need to introduce texts that bring significant contributions to the construction of the human being as a person and citizen, leading the student to realize that literature goes far beyond entertainment. Its content expresses our anxieties, feelings and longings, opinions and contradictions revealed through the many voices present in the text. In relation to literary literacy and the proposal of application in the classroom, as well as the reflections on the role of literature in the learner's and citizen's formation of the student and the dialogical relations present in the two stories, we take as theoretical foundation the thoughts of Rildo Cosson, Candido, Cereja, Bakhtin, Coelho and many others.

Kompletní reklamní portfolio pro střední a malou společnost. / Complete advertising portfolio for medium and small companyVANĚK, Pavel January 2008 (has links)
In the diploma thesis, I will compound an advertising portfolio for a medium-sized company. This set of materials will be made in a practical implementation and published in supplements of my thesis. All creative and professional work will considerably be liable to requirements of a customer and partly to his taste as well. In acomplishing of the work I will take account of the functional, rather than the artistic aspect of the work, because all the advertising materials are strictly functional. My thesis, especilly the theoretical part, concerns the functional and artistic analysis of methods of work. I will also try to see the issue from the view of the advertising marketing and to weigh up the financial demands of the individual projects. I will also describe (rather than the theoretical principals of the work) my authentic ways of work and reflections in relation to inviolability of my own {\clqq}know-how`` and {\clqq}know-how`` of the particular company. I would also like to mention complications and problems which appeared during the practical aplicaton of the work.

An investigation was carried out with five individuaIs at ages ranging from six years and six months to seven years and six months, having subnormal vision due to toxoplasmosis. All enrolled in first grade regular school and having experienced previous scholarization. The objective of this study was to investigate the utilization of visual residue in school work through an evaluation abridging visual functioning and psychopedagogical status. Visual functioning covered far and near acuity, contrast sensivity, vision of colours and a qualitative test to check residual vision utilization in a computer work using the Logo language. The psychopedagogical evaluation was conducted as a Diagnosis of Operative Behaviour ( from Piaget) which determined that the individuaIs were between pré-operative and transition to operative of the cognitive devefopment state. Both family and teachers answered questionaires pointing degrees of difficulties present during classwork. Par visual acuity of the individuaIs for the best eye with best correction, was in yhe range 20/80 to 20/160, therefore situating them into Group III-Moderate Subnormal Vision of WHO's classification. Near contrast sensitivity and vision of colours didn't show differences as compared to I,what is expected from children with normal vision. The work with Logo showed an excellent response for the utilization of visual residue when conditions are favourable. Results demonstrated that difficulties with c1ass work were lesser than those reported by teachers, thus leading to the conclusion that individual' s performance is dictated by their rhythm rather than seeing difficulties. Teachers who received informations to operate with low vision children declared thát they were not properly oriented which demonstrates the need for proper instrumentalization / Mestrado / Farmacologia / Mestre em Neurociencias

The basic idea of this research was to create a Logo environment similar to the one already in use by children with cerebral palsy, now with children with mental retardation from a private Institution. A group of six students was selected for the project. This group had two cerebral palsy children and other four were characterized as mental retarded ones. The principal of this Institution had a feeling about the potential of such a group and assigned a teacher to develop reading and writing skills to these students using the computer. The Logo methodology approach was used, and the group achieved different goals according to each individual capacity. There were also a significant growth as a team leading to a greater integration among the students and teacher, showing a much more mature relationship than any other class in the Institution. Another relevant aspect of this rese~rch is the different evaluation used to characterize the group and the barriers found in codifying these data. The reading and interpretation of these data was much more to reconfirm the deficiency rather than establish the amount of knowledge of the students. It showed how hard it was for the students to use their body as spatial reference. A parallel body-consciousness work was done with the students in order to help them internalize the spatial concepts and achieve results on the computer screen. Therefore, the methodological approach had the computer as a key catalyzer element in the classroom and it proved to be profitable and the remaining information about the students seem unnecessary. The results were positive at the end of two years, not only for the group, but also to raise various thesis about the evaluation of mental retarded children. The conclusions of this research leád not only to a radical different approach in groups with same characteristics, but also the ability to develop new ways to conduct classes with smaller children / Mestrado / Mestre em Neurociencias

The society is going through a changing process which reflects on the educational system. In the present times, the student must leave school, not only with an amount of accumulated information, but also with the ability to search for new knowledge, to work in a group and to be creative. For that, the school is looking for changes, and one of the options is the inc1usion of new technologies, mainly the computer, as pedagogical tool. The goal for the use of new technologies is to make changes in the educational system, an not only modernize it. But this is not a direct process: it depends also on a change of the school's, as well as the teachers' , pedagogic attitudes. The training of teachers to work with new technologies has been going normally through classroom courses performed out of their schooI. This way, these courses are not situated within the reality of each school, making the changing process of the educational system more difficult. On this aspect, this work describes the process of design, implant and evaluation an environment on the Internet with the goal to provide distance courses to training teachers about the use of computers in education. Through the Internet, it is possible to best respond to the search for these course, and perform a training in a way situated within each reality, as well as constant support to the process of using computers in the school' s curriculum / Mestrado / Mestre em Ciência da Computação
