Thus , based on the assumption that reading literary texts in mathematics classes can instigate the imagination nurture the production of meaning not only to mathematics in everyday situations as experienced by students . Therefore , if selected for this study the work of Malba Tahan . It is driven by the following research question : what are the meanings mathematicians that can be produced by students of 8th and 9th grades of elementary school , a public school in the city of São Carlos , the state of São Paulo , from reading the stories of the book " the Man who Counted ?" . It is based primarily on studies of Lev Vygotsky , for the study of the production of meaning and meaning from the word , Bento de Jesus Caraga and George Ifrah , for the production of meanings to mathematical content through the history of mathematics . And is qualitative . Data were built in ten encounters were videotaped and analysis category was defined retrospectively . The analysis was made from a unit of meaning , descriptive - analytical nature of the role of the written and spoken word in the production of meanings for the mathematical content . As a result one can point out that the reading of literary texts in mathematics classes exceed the production of meaning in mathematics , arousing sense to everyday practices through relationships made between school subjects , not just math , and life . It was also possible to detect the difficulty of specific symbolic representation of mathematics especially in situations requiring a fractional representation of the situation , allowing us to ask: to what extent the way we teach mathematics with its own representation is being appropriated by the student as a way of interpreting the world ?

Mirko Hanák (1921 - 1971) v kontextu dobové ilustrace / Mirko Hanák (1921 - 1071) in the context of contemporary illustration

Fulíková, Anna January 2017 (has links)
Children's book publishing was a part of the state-controlled system after 1945 and several movements can be recognised within it. The development and illustration requirements, changing during the 1950s and 1960s, can be mostly inferred from contemporary literature by writers Stehlíková and Holešovský, the Zlatý máj magazine or submissions to the 1972 Brno symposium exploring the relationship between literary text and its visual art interpretation. After outlining the principal relationships, this work focuses on a more detailed exploration of the illustrations by Mirko Hanák, whose work originated during the 1950s and 1960s before being terminated by a premature death in 1971. Hanák freed himself of the compulsory realism during the 1950s and chose a path towards symbolism, which helped him achieve a respected creative status in the 1960s. Hanák's talents chiefly manifested themselves in his wildlife illustrations for adventure books, where he employed the watercolour technique. He took inspiration from Chinese ink painting, with which he became familiarised thanks to the many exhibitions taking place in the context of the contemporary cultural exchange between Czechoslovakia and the People's Republic of China. Both working with the originals of Hanák's illustrations and a comparison between individual...

Nástěnné malby na hradě Karlštejn ve světle restaurátorských zásahů / The mural paintings in Karlštejn castle in the light of the restoration effects

Uchytilová, Barbora January 2019 (has links)
The mural paintings in Karlštejn castle in the light of the restoration effects This thesis focuses on the mural paintings located in Karlštejn castle. These mural paintings form a complex iconography of the entire castle, which weaves together all the sacred spaces of the castle, culminating in the Chapel in the Great Tower. The thesis deals with the mural paintings situated in two chapels in the first floor of the Imperial palace, so-called the Hall of Ancestors, where the genealogy of Charles IV. originally decorated this hall, the Church of the Virgin Mary and the Chapel of Saint Catherine inside the Marian Tower, on the walls of the staircase and in the Chapel of the Holy Cross, inside the Great Tower, not only in the light of the restoration effects, which may have affected and influenced the original appearance. Tracking of the origin of the re- paintings, followed by an iconographical analysis, draws from the restoration reports and archives connected with the last major reconstruction of the castle, which was led from Vienna by architects Fridrich Schmidt and Josef Mocker. I analyse their iconography and authorship, and evaluate the restoration efforts carried out in the last centuries. Key words: Middle Ages, mural paintings, 14th century, Karlštejn castle, Chapel of the Holly Cross, Master...

Estetika výkřiku v díle Alberta Camuse / The Esthetics of the Scream in Albert Camus Opus

Černá, Kristýna January 2020 (has links)
The main topic of this diploma thesis resides in the comparison of the expressionist painting and the existential literature in connection with the motif of screaming. Despite the temporal and geographical distance of the two artistic movements (we are focused more profoundly in the German and Austrian expressionist painting, while the main literary work of this thesis, the existential novel The Fall comes from the great mind of a French writer, Albert Camus), the research aspires to prove the interconnection of the two movements and their common tendencies, based on the analyses of chosen themes, motifs, technics, and structure. We propose the motif of screaming as the main part of the comparison, as it constitutes an essential axis of the occidental art, as well as the crucial contact point between Expressionism and Existentialism. In spite of the bountifulness of the various interpretations this motif offers, we have chosen only selected ideas and concepts. As far as the formal structure is concerned, the work is divided into three chapters, where the first two are focused on the origins, a brief characterization of the main point of the two esthetics. Furthermore, they describe their related counterparts of the visual arts and literature (the Expressionist literature and Existential painting...
