Essa dissertação apresenta mais uma aventura de Alice atravessando mais de um século de diálogos e figuras (e de que serve um livro sem figuras e nem diálogos, pensou Alice) com foco no surrealismo. A viagem parte do passeio de barco quando a estória de Alice foi contada pela primeira vez, chegando até as viagens da menina pela webland no mundo contemporâneo. As ilustrações de Lewis Carroll e John Tenniel apresentam a menina vitoriana, contrapondo às influências românticas e pré-rafaelitas de Carroll, à caricatura e às intertextualidades que cruzam às ilustrações de John Tenniel. Num Segundo momento a menina salta do livro de estórias infantis para o livro de imagens poéticas, viajando por um labirinto aonde encontra diversas Alices surrealistas. A femme enfant, a colagem, a imagem poética, a metamorfose, o objeto surrealista e o maravilhoso são os caminhos percorridos nessa aventura. Num terceiro momento Alice viaja pelo mundo contemporâneo aonde a ilustração ganha contornos mais complexos e desafiadores. Arte e ilustração se cruzam nas trilhas da menina de muitas faces. / This dissertation presents another adventure of Alice through more than a century of pictures and conversations (and what is the use of a book without pictures and conversations?, thought Alice to herself). The travel departs from the boat trip where the story of Alice was first told, arriving to the adventures of the girl in the web-land in contemporary world. The illustrations by John Tenniel and Lewis Carroll present the Victorian Alice, contrasting Carroll\'s influences of romanticism and pre-Raphaelism with the caricatures and intertextual procedures of John Tenniel\' illustrations. In a second moment the girl jumps from the book of children\'s stories to the book of poetic images, traveling through a maze where she will find several surreal Alices. Femme enfants, collages, poetic images, metamorphosis, surreal objects and the marvelous are paths crossed in this adventure. In the third part Alice travels in the contemporary world where illustration gets more complex and challenging contours. Art and illustration are on the trail of the girl of many faces.

Para solucionar esses problemas, que têm um perfil de enigma, os alunos em questão eram instigados a utilizar seus conhecimentos prévios, formulando questões e construindo a resolução em grupo, como um quebra-cabeça verbal. O fato de não possuir algoritmos prontos e acabados, faz com que esses problemas tragam um novo olhar do aluno para a disciplina de Matemática. E ainda, despertam a autoconfiança e as atitudes positivas por conseguirem solucionar problemas utilizando-se dos conhecimentos prévios adquiridos, ou seja, por encontrarem sentido nos conceitos matemáticos aprendidos. Essa pesquisa é de cunho quali-quantitativo que tem como eixo norteador o levantamento de dados, a compreensão de comportamentos, opiniões e expectativas e a análise da Escala de Atitudes da amostra utilizada. Através desta escala, foi possível considerar as atitudes positivas ou negativas de 16 alunos de uma escola pública estadual de ensino fundamental I da cidade de São Carlos em relação à disciplina. Considerando que o tempo foi breve e que cada indivíduo tem um tempo para ter seu insight, pode-se contemplar um resultado positivo, no qual constatamos um aumento de 31% para 75% dos alunos que passaram a ter atitudes positivas em relação à Matemática. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The present research has as its main goal to assess the development of positive attitudes and self-reliance toward Mathematics, in students from elementary school I, 4th and 5th grades, with the use of non-structured problems. This research has a quali-quantitative status which owns a northern axis facing data collection, comprehension of behavior, opinions, and expectations, and also the Attitudes Range analysis from the sample used. Through the use of this one, it was possible to consider the positive or negative attitudes from 16 students of a public state school, from elementary school I in São Carlos. With the use of non-structured problems - with a puzzle profile - the students were instigated to search in their previous knowledge the solution to the problems that did not have concluded and ready-to-use algorithms. Considering the short time, and the fact that each individual has their own timing for insight, it is possible to reach a positive outcome, in which it was possible to identify a raise from 31% to 75% from students that started having positive attitudes toward Mathematics. In conclusion, we consider that there is a necessity for waking students up for self-reliance and positive attitudes which can bring a better performance at the subject. / Mestre

Procurou-se, nesta tese, elucidar o longo caminho traçado pelo autor, desde a gênesis de sua obra até o resultado final: o romance histórico Imagens invisíveis do passado. We work with the hypothesis that the illustrator is a translator that operates in hisher own language. The research corpus consists of an ensemble of 10 editions of Alice in Wonderland, including the illustrations made by Lewis Carroll himself and by John Tenniel, who was the first and the most famous Alice illustrator after the author. The selection criterion privileges the classic English editions and the best translations to Portuguese of the integral text of Alice. The illustrations of the corpus have different styles and are a sample of different executions of the story and its characters. The methodology consists in bibliographical and documental research, the last one being the search of the referred Alice editions. The theoretical referential use the main authors to deal with intersemioticity, noticeably Roman Jakobson, Julio Plaza, Octavio Paz and Haroldo de Campos; specialists in English literature and Lewis Carroll, like Martin Gardner, Donald Rackin, Jenny Woolf and Morton N. Cohen, specialists in illustrations like Sophie Van der Linden, Martin Salisbury, Morag Styles, Maria Nikolajeva, Carole Scott e Ana Margarida Ramos. The relevance of this research to the area of Communication and Semiotics is in the study of the syncretism between verbal and visual texts, that here is being used to analyze a fundamental work / Esta pesquisa tem como objeto de estudo o conjunto múltiplo e variado constituído pelas ilustrações de Alice no país das maravilhas de Lewis Carroll e como objetivo principal a análise das relações entre o texto verbal e o texto imagético que aí se estabelecem. Busca-se responder o que é a ilustração, que elementos o ilustrador utiliza em seu trabalho e que efeitos de sentido ela desempenha. Trabalhamos com a hipótese de que o ilustrador é um tradutor que opera em língua própria. O corpus de pesquisa consiste em um conjunto selecionado de 10 edições de Alice no País das Maravilhas, incluindo as ilustrações do próprio Lewis Carroll e as de John Tenniel, que, após o autor, foi o primeiro e o mais famoso ilustrador da obra. O critério de seleção privilegia as edições inglesas clássicas e as melhores traduções do texto integral de Alice. Each, portable cabinet consists of botanical illustrations, photographs, herbarium species, tinctures, people s narratives and symbolic objects concern to the cultural imaginary of invasive plants. The inventory interpolates the worlds of art and science, specifically biology. The development of this work was motivated by the works of the artists, Walmor Correa, Juan Fontcuberta, Mark Dion, Agnes Meyer-Brandis, as well as the philosophical fiction Vampyroteuthis Infernalis Flusser that has the collaboration of Louis Bec and the interviews with Marta de Menezes, Leonel Moura and Ivan Henriques, artists who work in this border of art/science. The interviews focused on the collaboration between the artists and scientists, technologies and research laboratories científica1 access, showing some of the possibilities for this context. / Inventário de Espécies Invasoras, 2014 experimento artístico realizado durante minha pesquisa de mestrado inspira-se nos gabinetes de curiosidades tradicionais. Cada gabinete, portátil, é composto por ilustrações botânicas, fotografias, exsicatas, tinturas, narrativas de pessoas e objetos simbólicos referentes ao imaginário cultural das plantas invasoras. O inventário interpola os universos da arte e da ciência, em específico a biologia. O desenvolvimento do trabalho teve como motivação as obras dos artistas Walmor Correa, Juan Fontcuberta, Mark Dion, Agnes Meyer-Brandis, a ficção filosófica Vampyroteuthis Infernalis de Vilém Flusser em colaboração com Louis Bec, e as entrevistas realizadas com Marta de Menezes, Leonel Moura e Ivan Henriques, artistas que atuam nesta fronteira arte/ciência. As entrevistas focaram as colaborações entre os artistas e os cientistas, o acesso às tecnologias e aos laboratórios de pesquisa científica, mostrando algumas das possibilidades de criação nesse contexto.
