The first part focuses on the theoretical interpretation and definition of the important concepts of the marketing, environmental analysis, marketing and communication mix tools. The following part describes the activity of the analysed company, the current marketing and communication mix. This section also contents the SWOT analysis and the questionnaire survey. In the last part I propose the new communication mix to improve the company’s market position.

Title: Research of service quality of selected fitness center Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to identify the problematic areas of services provided by the selected fitness center and define specific proposals and recommendations for the management of the organization leading to the improvement of customer service. Methods: Research service quality of selected fitness center was used the modificated SERVQUAL questionnaire for sport services in Czech republic. This questionnaire compares the expected quality of services in an excellent fitness center to the actually perceived service quality in the selected club. The data collection took place in the period from February 2020 to March 2020. Results: Based on the analysis of the service quality, it seems that the offered quality of fitness centre services is at a relatively high level. However, the research also identified some shortcomings in the individual indicators and found room for improvement. According to the identified shortcomings, recommendations and other steps were proposed to the fitness centre, which should contribute to even better services. Background: Growth and innovation are two well-known words in particular for the 21st century, however, no previous studies are focusing on the growth of an innovative firm.  Research question: How does an innovative firm enter the European market? What factors makes the internationalization process on the European market successful for an innovative firm?  Purpose: The purpose of this dissertation is to identify initiatives implemented by innovative firms in order to ensure successful growth in the international market. It will also highlight the important aspects of an innovative firm internationalizing on the European market.  Theoretical framework: The traditional Uppsala internationalization model is used as a framework for suggestions on how a firm should enter new markets. Furthermore, a theory about internationalization is used and continued with a theory about innovative firms and the chapter ends with the marketing mix.  Methodology: A case study of an innovative firm has been done where a qualitative research approach has been taken. First hand data in terms of interviews together with secondary data in terms of articles and previous research lays as a foundation for the study.  Empirical material: The empirical material is based on interviews with four interview persons from the case company on distance. In combination with this, information has been gathered from company reports and the webpage of the case firm.  Conclusion: The result of this study indicates that innovative firms does not follow all the steps that the theory suggest for internationalization. Continually, the most vital factors that were followed and not followed are highlighted in the conclusion.

Covid-19 inverkan på marknadsföring : En fallstudie om hur Nordic Wellness och Studio Aktiverum har anpassat sin marknadsmix för att ta socialt ansvar

There is no doubt that Covid-19 has affected the world on several different levels. However, it is less clear how the wellness industry has had to adapt to the Government's and the Public Health Agency's recommendations and restrictions. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how gym companies have adapted their marketing mix and their social media marketing as a strategy for taking social responsibility during the Covid-19 pandemic. Empirical information has mainly been collected through interviews with respondents from Nordic Wellness and Studio Aktiverum, which are two different gym companies in Sweden. They have been interviewed about aspects of their attitude towards Covid-19 and their use of social media. Data has also been collected through observations and information on the company's social media platforms. A mixed method was used to link the empirical findings to the theory. The authors of this thesis discovered 5 different themes, namely, measures - training, customer response, challenges and opportunities, marketing communication and finally training support. The overall picture showed that the case companies were hit hard by the crisis, but that they still managed to continue their business by adjusting their marketing mix. Social media has been a useful tool for the case companies as they have been able to market their activities and offers, which has been especially valuable during times of crisis when budgets and income are lower.

Sedan utvecklingen av world wide web på 1990-talet har den digitala utveckling vuxit mer och mer. I takt med digitaliseringen har SEO blivit ett viktigt marknadsföringsverktyg som företag kan använda för att öka sin synlighet online. I slutet av 2019 spreds ett virus vid namn covid-19. Viruset utlöste en pandemi som skakade om världen. En tydlig förändring som skett under coronapandemin är att den digitala utvecklingen har påskyndats. Samtidigt som digitaliseringen påskyndats har även konsumentbeteendet förändrats i form av ökad kundnärvaro online under pandemin. Dessa faktorer har tillsammans lett till ökad konkurrens online inom den svenska sällanköpsvaruhandeln. En ny verklighet har utvecklats där digitala strategier får en allt mer betydande roll för att bemöta konkurrens, vilket företag som bedriver onlinehandel måste förhålla sig till. Syftet med studien är att kartlägga på vilket sätt företag inom den svenska sällanköpsvaruhandeln har förändrat sin uppfattning av SEO på grund av ökad konkurrens online till följd av coronapandemin. Studiens teoretiska bakgrund tar avstamp i två teorier, Inbound marketing samt The 4S web-marketing mix model. Studien tillämpar en kvalitativ ansats där semistrukturerade intervjuer använts för att samla in data. Sex (6) företag inom sällanköpsvaruhandeln intervjuades. Empirin visar att företagen utvecklat ett ökat intresse, en ökad värdesättning samt en ökad användning alternativt planerar implementering av SEO till följd av ökad konkurrens online under coronapandemin. Sammanfattningsvis visar empirin att företagen har utvecklat en mer positiv uppfattning av SEO vilket tyder på att SEO kan vara ett användbart verktyg för att bemöta den ökade konkurrensen online för företag inom sällanköpsvaruhandeln. / Since the development of the world wide web in the 1990s digital development has grown more and more. As the digitization has become an integrated part of organizations, SEO has become an important marketing tool that companies can use to increase their visibility online. At the end of 2019, a virus was spread by the name Covid-19. The virus triggered a pandemic that shook the world. During the pandemic the digital development has rapidly increased. The consumer behavior has also changed during the pandemic as the online presence among consumers has increased heavily. Both of these factors have led to increased competitiveness online among the Swedish rare goods trade. In this new reality digital strategies play an important role, which companies who conduct online trading have to take into consideration. The purpose of this study is to examine in which way companies in the Swedish rare goods trade have changed their perception of SEO due to increased competition online as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.  The theoretical background covers two theories, Inbound Marketing and The 4S Web-Marketing Mix Model. The study applies a qualitative approach where semi-structured interviews have been used to collect data. Six companies in the rare goods trade have been interviewed. Results show that the companies has developed an increased interest, an increased value and an increased use of SEO or a plan to implement SEO due to the increased competitiveness online during the pandemic. To summarize, the study proves that companies have developed a more positive perception of SEO which suggests that SEO can be a useful tool for addressing increased competitiveness online among companies in the Swedish rare goods trade.
