Technology has during the last decades been adopted into the dance art form which has appeared as interactive dance. Many studies and performances have been conducted investigating this merging of dance and technology and the mapping of the motion data to other modalities. But none have previously explored how the introduction of technology affects the mutually interdependent relationship, the co-play, between a dancer and a live musician in a completely live setting. This thesis specifically explores this novel stting by investigating which sound parameters of a live drummer’s sound a dancer should be able to manipulate, through the usage of motion tracking sensors, to alter the dancer’s experience positively in comparison of without the usage of the tool. For this purpose, two studies have been conducted. First, a development study to create a prototype from the first person perspective of a professional dancer and choreographer. Second, an evaluative study was conducted to evaluate the applicability of the prototype and the experience of the manipulation of the sound parameters chosen, on a larger group of professional dancers. The studies showed that the sound parameters of delay and pitch altered a dance experience most positively. This thesis further shows that it is important for the user to get enough time to truly get to know the interactions allowed by the system, to actually be able to evaluate experience of the sound parameters. / Teknik har under de senaste decennierna anammats in i danskonsten vilket har framträtt som interaktiv dans. Många studier och föreställningar har genomförts för att undersöka denna sammanslagning av dans och teknik, och mappningen av rörelsedata till andra modaliteter. Men ingen har tidigare undersökt hur introduktionen av teknik påverkar samspelet, den ömsesidigt beroende relationen, mellan en dansare och en live-musiker i en fullständigt live inramning. Den här avhandlingen utforskar specifikt denna nya inramning genom att undersöka vilka ljudparametrar av en live-trummis ljud en dansare ska kunna manipulera genom användning av rörelsesensorer, för att förändra en dansarens upplevelse positivt i jämförelse med utan användning av verktyget. För detta ändamål har två studier genomförts. Först en utvecklingsstudie för att skapa en prototyp från ett förstapersonsperspektiv av en professionell dansare och koreograf. Sedan genomfördes en utvärderingsstudie för att utvärdera användbarheten av prototypen och upplevelsen av att manipulera de valda ljudparametrarna, på en större grupp professionella dansare. Studierna visade att ljudparametrarna av fördröjning och tonhöjd förändrade en dansupplevelse mest positivt. Denna avhandling visar vidare att det är viktig för användaren att få tillräckligt med tid för att verkligen lära känna de interaktioner som systemet tillåter, för att faktiskt kunna utvärdera upplevelsen av själva ljudparametrarna.

Engaging in the music set of one’s favorite artist or DJ is oftentimes leading to the result of a powerful and euphoric felt experience, a sensation partly also induced from dancing in beat to the music. In an attempt to simulate a similar dance experience, this user-study examines when a user is let to dance in rhythm to a music playback and in addition, in control of a music playback tempo through the generated dance movements. A proof-of-concept prototype was built and tested in an initial study, followed by a main study where the prototype had been modified and 12 participants participated. A questionnaire was given containing various question statements to be rated through a Likert-scale regarding their subjective experience. Open-ended questions were also included to collect their own opinions. From the results, an enhanced engagement and enjoyment of the music could be identified when being able to manipulate the tempo. / Att engagera sig i ett musik-set av ens favoritartist eller DJ leder ofta till resultatet av en kraftfull och euforisk känsloupplevelse, en känsla delvis framkallat av att man dansar i takt med musiken. I ett försök att simulera en liknande dansupplevelse undersöker denna användarstudie när en användare dansar i rytm till musik och dessutom är i kontroll av tempot genom de skapade dansrörelserna. En proof-of-concept prototyp konstruerades och testades i en första studie, följt av en huvudstudie där prototypen hade modifierats och 12 deltagare deltog. Ett frågeformulär gavs med olika frågor som skulle bedömas via en Likert-skala, med avseende på deras subjektiva erfarenhet. Öppna frågor ingick också för att samla deras egna åsikter. Från resultaten kunde ett ökat engagemang och en förhöjd njutning av musiken identifieras när man kunde manipulera tempot.

In this thesis computer-mediated human interaction and human computer interaction in responsive spaces are discussed. Can such spaces be de-signed to create an affective response from the players? What are the de-sign heuristics for a space that allows for the establishment of affective dy-namics? I research the user experience of players of existing spaces built by the Topological Media Lab. In addition to that I review other relevant ex-perimental interfaces, e.g. works by Myron Krueger and my own earlier piece Riviera in order to analyze their affective dynamics. Also, I review the different applications and programming paradigms involved in authoring such spaces (e.g. Real-time systems like Max/MSP/Jitter and EyeCon) and how to apply them in compliance with the design heuristics.

Les travaux présentés dans ce mémoire se situent dans le cadre de la maîtrise statistique des processus (MSP). Les principales cartes de contrôle univariées et multivariées sont présentées dans le chapitre I. Un résumé non-exhaustif des méthodes de détection de la cause d'une situation hors contrôle dans un processus multivarié est donné dans le chapitre II. Une nouvelle méthodologie de contrôle et de diagnostic de processus - FNAD (Filtrage Numérique et Analyse Discriminante) - a été proposée dans le chapitre III. Un exemple pratique d'utilisation de la méthode FNAD a été donné pour le diagnostic d'un processus de fabrication du polyéthylène de faible densité. Deux nouvelles cartes de contrôle - la carte de contrôle par filtrage numérique (CCFN) et la carte de contrôle spectrale (CCS) ont été proposées dans le chapitre IV. Le principe de construction de la carte CCFN repose sur l'utilisation des équations récurrentes définissant les filtres numériques RII (Réponse Impulsionnelle Infinie) ou ARMA (AutoRegressive Moving Average). Les limites de contrôle et l'efficacité de la carte CCFN ont été calculées à l'aide de simulations. Le principe de contrôle de la carte de contrôle spectrale (CCS) est basé sur l'analogie temps-fréquence: une fenêtre glissante est déplacée dans le domaine temporel et le contenu spectral de la fenêtre est analysé afin de détecter les changements de la moyenne. La formule analytique de la limite de contrôle a été donnée. Les performances de la carte dans la détection des différents déréglages ont été calculées à partir des simulations et comparées avec celles de la carte EWMA.

Cette thèse examine les notions de temps réel et de temps différé telles qu'on les rencontre en informatique musicale et dans la musique contemporaine. La première partie commence par une approche historique, montrant la concomitance de leur apparition avec l'essor de l'informatique au début des années 60. Puis elle développe une critique du cloisonnement du temps réel et du temps différé en tant que catégories dichotomiques, à partir de définitions du seuil de latence qui sont incompatibles entre elles. Elle formalise enfin une représentation alternative : un axe " latentiel ", qui intègre temps réel et temps différé. Cette représentation est illustrée par trois analyses axiales, utilisant un logiciel d'aide au classement relatif et subjectif. À la suite de cette réflexion théorique, la seconde partie présente cinq collaborations musicales dans lesquelles j'ai réalisé la partie informatique avec Max/MSP : CBox avec le compositeur Mario Lorenzo, sur un projet d'exploration des possibilités de la circularité ; Mimi et Rose amère avec l'altiste Stéphanie Réthoré, sur un projet d'alto augmenté pour l'improvisation ; FeedItBack et Iviv avec le compositeur Santiago Quintáns, principalement sur la pièce In Vivo / In Vitro, pour caisse claire augmentée ; a2m, Loterie, Emzed et Nappe avec le compositeur Mauricio Meza, sur la pièce Woes-war-sollichwer-den, pour clarinette, public, et ordinateur ; Plugiscope, Ifso, et Ultraviolette avec le clarinettiste et compositeur Iván Solano, sur un premier projet pour voix, un deuxième pour clarinette basse, et un troisième pour percussion. La thèse s'achève avec une brève réflexion sur le réalisateur en informatique musicale.

The subject of the thesis "SME support programs and their use in South Bohemia region" is an analysis of SME support programs, assessment of the current status of implementation of aid programs aimed at this segment of business in South Bohemia region and prediction of the 2014-2020 programming period. There is also analyzed the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation, which is primarily aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. confidering the allocation of financial resources it is the most important subsidy program for the development of this segment.

Sonic Activation is a multimedia performance-installation featuring sound sculptures, video projections, and performance with live electronics for solo and mixed ensembles. The work aims to unpack the nature in which we hear and interact with sound, space, and gesture. It is a project that recontextualizes the typical practice of performance and installation modes of music and art. The event uses 12 loudspeakers spaced around a gallery to create a densely layered sonic atmosphere that gently fluctuates and slowly evolves. Throughout the event, the audience is encouraged to freely navigate the gallery and experience the subtle changes in sound as they manifest in the space.

The goal of this thesis is to describe the possibilities of SMEs to finance their innovation activities. In the first chapter we specify and define SMEs, their advantages and disadvantages. We use statistical analysis to prove, how they contribute on the changes of selected macroeconomic measures. The second chapter deals with the different tools and ways to finance SMEs, as well as the main providers of institutional support for SMEs. The last chapter designs the Regional innovation fund as an institution providing seed and start-up financing.
