Vyznavač buddhismu na ošetřovací jednotce / Follower of Buddhism on unit care

The problems of buddhism on a care ward has been theme of our works, which we{\crq}ve devided in theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part, nurses and also wider public can acquiant with basic informations of buddhism. Theoretical part is devided into eight main chapters. In theoretical part we{\crq}ve reached for {\clqq}List dissimilarities in satisfying needs of buddhism confessors to health and diseases.`` In practical part we discuss reults of our research. To get data, we used technique of questionary. Content of third aim was {\clqq}Compare sister knowledge of Southbohemian and Centralbohemian region in specifications of buddhism confessor care.`` We set two hypotheses for this aim. Hypothesis no.1 considered, that nurses are able to satisfy needs of buddhist with their professionality and hypothesis no.2 considered, that nurses knowledge about care probleme in Southbohemian region is lower than in Centralbohemian region. Both hypotheses were confirmed after data processing. Pieces of knowledge from theoretical and practical part are included in the end of this work. There is also mentioned usage of work in practice {--} motivate nurses in attractive form, so they have interest to learn new informations about new cultures and ethnic communities. Nurses also to get wider general view, necessary at this time. In the end in separate chapter the {\clqq}Care specifications of buddhism confessors in sanitations`` is described, which was subject of second aim. For completion of this aim the standard of nursing care was elaborated: {\clqq}Principles of implementation on nursing care, confessing by buddhists in sanitations.``

Jak se učí romské dějiny? / How to teach history of the Roma people?

This Master thesis deals with teaching of history of the Roma people in history lessons. The incorporation of Roma history to the curriculum is supported in the national Framework Program for Elementary Education, primarily through the cross-curricular theme of "Multicultural education". The theoretical part of this thesis consists of a brief summary of Roma history to the extent of what should be part of Elementary Education; history textbooks analysis from the perspective of Roma history; and list of other supportive educational materials. The practical part of this thesis presents a survey that was carried out within a small scale sample of secondary schools. Through the survey the current level of the 9th graders' knowledge about Roma history had been detected and subsequently a demonstrative lesson was delivered and evaluated.

The main objective of the thesis is to analyze the topic of leading multicultural teams, with a specific attention to the particular example of the company XYZ; and answer the research questions with the gathered data and construct recommendations. The theoretical part provides a comprehensive overview of the concepts of multinational corporations, teams, multicultural teams and leadership. The assumptions derived from the theory serve as a base for the following empirical part, where the theoretical research is completed with a qualitative study. The qualitative study was conducted in cooperation with the company XYZ and professionals working directly in the multicultural teams were interviewed. By combining the findings from both theoretical and empirical part, many of the assumed benefits, especially the increased creativity, of the multicultural teams were confirmed. However, the negative aspects were identified as well, with the more difficult communication above all.

To take the view about the team work in the company it was necessary to perform an analyse of the team work. I confronted results of the analyse with the real position in the team. An evaluation of conditions in the monitored team and a proposition of pertinent recommendation to increase the effectiveness of team work is an inseparable part of my diploma paper.

Furthermore, the diploma thesis deals with the motivation of workers. The practical part explores, based on the findings from interviews and questionnaires, multicultural teams in Accenture.

The theoretical part introduces small business' specifics in human resources and describes personal processes in small businesses. The aim of the theoretical part is to provide theoretical framework for the practical part of the thesis. In the practical part the small company is described including the description of personal processes in the company. The goal of the thesis is to analyse personal processes in the company, evaluate them and to create recommendations for management of the company. These recommendations are presented in the second part of the practical section of the thesis and if applied should lead to an improvement of the company's human resources management.

The dissertation aims at the issue of transcultural care in the practice of midwives with a specific focus on Mongolian women, who currently represent the fifth largest group in terms of the number of births of foreigners in the Czech Republic. The theoretical framework of the text consists of chapters on nursing with subsequent differentiation of the field with regard to specialized care in the field of gynecology-obstetrics, as well as the divided subdiscipline of transcultural nursing care. An integral part of the theoretical part of the work are the basic general information about Mongolia and the Mongols. The practical part of the work is represented by my own qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative research was carried out in the field through in-depth interviews with Mongolian women living in the Czech Republic and having experience with their own childbirth in a Czech maternity hospital. The aim of the research was to uncover possible peculiarities and requirements that a midwife may encounter from Mongolian women in the provision of transcultural care related to pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period. This trend brings new challenges to the top management and to line managers to be able lead not just people with same culture, but also lead and cooperate with reportees from different cultures. Leaders need to be able to lead teams consisted from people of various gender, religion, age, sexual orientation or color. Managers need to be aware of those specifics in order to use full potential of whole team. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze those specifics of leading of intercultural IT company based on semi-structured interviews with expats, free associations, analysis of company documents and guided discussion and design methods and recommendations to be able to lead intercultural teams more effectively, mainly in IT field.

Etická dimenze multikulturality (S využitím poznatků reálií a kultury Německa) / Ethical Dimension of Multiculturalism (Using the Knowledge of German Realia and Culture)

The presented dissertation deals with the ethical aspects of inconsistent view on the contemporary world, which can be seen as a philosophical, political and multicultural problem. Since the Federal Republic of Germany can be considered an example of open multicultural society, the author presents in the work a rich factual history, culture and realities of the country with the aim to clarify the understanding of its foreign policy relating to the immigration. The dissertation addresses the issue of the ethical dimension of multiculturalism in connection with migration and multicultural coexistence in a culturally diverse and often turbulent environment, including their practical impacts. The research carried out at the university environment of multicultural Germany in 2014-2016 detects present cultural diversity of the country, confirms the importance of the education in the process of integrating newcomers into mainstream society and searches for opportunities to improve the coexistence of people of different races, ethnicities, cultures and religions. In the conclusion, the author tracks the future developments and expectations with respect to the topic of multiculturalism and its ethical dimension both, on the territory of immigration Germany and in European and world context.
