Vliv edukace nutričního specialisty na hladinu vitamínů u pacientů s idiopatickými střevními záněty. / Influence of education of nutrition specialist on vitamins level at patients with inflammatory bowel diseases.Palugová, Natália January 2019 (has links)
In diploma thesis we deal with inflammatory bowel diseases. The theoretical part describes etiology, pathogenesis, clinical symptoms, out-of-body manifestation and drug therapy. Current knowledge about the relationship between nutrition and disease is described. Since inflammatory bowel diseases are incurable, therapy pays attention to keep the patient in remission and preventing relapse. Nutrition therapy plays an important role in achieving these goals. In the practical part, we deal with the level of nutrition awareness of patients, in the form of a questionnaire and a non- standardized interview. We also study the influence of education on vitamin levels in patients. We determine whether they know the importance of eating and eating nutrients in their illnesses. From the background, it can be appreciated that information resources are insufficient for patients. Patients would also welcome more detailed education, and therefore part of the practical part of the educational material for patients with Crohn's disease. Key words: Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, nutrition, education, diet

Nemoc jako příležitost k péči a pozornosti / Illess as the opportunity to care and considerationKalábová, Helena January 2009 (has links)
The study called ILLESS AS THE OPPORTUNITY TO CARE AND CONSIDERATION Is fenomenologically focused on a variety of seeing the world affected by an illness. Bio-psycho-social-spiritual model of illness is generally understood as the integration of the figures concerning body, mind and socially-spiritual conditions. The solution is arranged in a multi-feature attitude to the therapy, involving bodywork and psychotherapy in terms of mindcare aiming to reach recovering changes, respectively metamorphosis. The basis is found in respect to the body-organism as a self-organizing system creating its own world coming from self-relating autopoiesis. Showing respect to patients brings unexpected theoretical and therapeutical options, concerning that issue there is the contraversion of traditional kartezian western thinking with radical contructivism, which as a new-age empirically advenced alternative of scientific positivism is apparently not fully practised in medicine nowadays. Illnes is seen as disaretation-exasperation,disbalance.Treatment in terms of techne on kartezian thesis puts emphasis on total organism rehabilitation but health in terms of physis cannot be brought back anymore.

Medializace prevence zdravotních problémů ve vybraných českých denících a jejich internetových podobách za rok 2010 / Media coverage of the prevention of health problems in selected Czech newspaper and their online forms for the year 2010.PECHOVÁ, Eva January 2011 (has links)
The authoress of the diploma thesis aims to determine if it is possible for the public to learn serious information by means of media, i.e. information related to the prevention of health problems, and to monitor the state of medialisation of these problems by setting partial targets. The objective of the diploma thesis is to discover if media address such topics which should be medialised, in the view of statistically most frequent causes of death and the perspective of prevention and protection of the public health. The nature of significant health problems and the prevention of what topics should appear in daily newspapers have been determined in accordance with epidemiologic data and frequency of diseases which have been the most common causes of death in the Czech Republic in the long term, and which are summarized, inter alia, in mortality tables of the Czech Statistical Office. Another partial objective is to establish what types of themes appear most frequently, to determine the differences between the online and printed forms of media, and to discover who the authors engaging in these problems are. Two dailies were selected for our research - MfDnes (with its regional supplement Jižní Čechy) and the regional Českobudějovický deník in the printed form, including their supplements, including some of their thematic web pages. The research has also examined three independent magazines. The present diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a research part. The theoretical part summarizes - based on the study of available literature and secondary data analysis - basic information regarding the problems of health and illness, prevention, media, the most common causes of death in the Czech Republic, briefly characterizing individual diseases and risk factors of their origin, as being familiar with such facts is essential for their prevention. The research part approaches the collection and evaluation of data in a combined manner. First, data were collected and studied by analysing documents. Afterwards, data were evaluated by means of qualitative statistics, whereas the methods of so-called descriptive statistics were utilized. The quantitative content analysis - which is usually used for the research into mass media - was used for analysing articles. The acquired data were tested statistically by bivariate analysis method. Copies of dailies and their magazines from 2010 were found in the Research Library of South Bohemia. News servers and thematic web pages were browsed by means of media archive.Individual objectives of the diploma thesis have been met. The reached conclusion stipulates that on the one hand, media do address the prevention of significant health problems; on the other hand, they fail to interconnect it with concrete diseases to an adequate extent. The medialisation of topics related to neoplasms is insufficient. Moreover, the thesis has discovered that the most common themes that media engage in are related to the problems of nutrition/overweight and slimming, both in the online and printed forms of all media analysed. It has been determined that the representation of article topics differ for individual media analysed. The most frequent authors of such articles are women. In most cases, there are most often two or three authors who participate in the medialisation of prevention of health problems. In the authoress?s view, the present diploma thesis may provide feedback to authors who examine issues of the prevention of health problems. In addition, with its illustrative overview of the most common causes of death in the Czech Republic, the thesis might highlight the necessity of medialisation of prevention of some themes; and, contrariwise, it could pinpoint less important, but frequently medialised themes, which take up too much space in both printed and online media.

Putovní a náboženský turismus jako lidská potřeba ve zdraví a nemoci / Pilgrimage and Religious Tourism as human need in health and illnessŠIMÍKOVÁ, Petra January 2012 (has links)
Thesis named: ?Pilgrimage and Religious Tourism as human need in health and illness? The phenomenon of pilgrimage and related religious tourism have been more and more discussed recently, although the history of pilgrimage origins in distant past. The main goal of the thesis was to describe two religious cultures, namely Christianity and Islam, to describe the history of pilgrimage and pilgrimage destinations of these two cultures and to compare them. The partial goals were to map attitudes of these cultures to health and illness, to identify the elements common for the pilgrims and to find out how religious and pilgrimage tourism influences these people in their relation to health and illness. The aim of the work was to identify and understand a person of different religion better, to grasp a human as an individual and to approach him/her this way. Qualitative research, for which four research questions had been set, was performed. The research itself had the form of an individual non standardized interview with a research sample consisting of four Christians and four Muslims. Case studies were elaborated upon the interviews. The case studies form the research base for categorization areas. The results based on the interviews were processed by means of frame analysis (of the categorized groups). The results show that Christianity and Islam have certain cultural differences. Pilgrimage and pilgrimage destinations differ substantially in Christianity and Islam. While Christians visit these places for spiritual and physical relaxation and to please for health, for Muslims the pilgrimage is a part of the ?five pillars of Islam?. This finding is the biggest difference of both the religious cultures in relation to pilgrimage and religious tourism. The topic of this thesis is not very typical for the nursing care field of study; however I would like to provide students and colleagues with valuable information based on the thesis. The thesis could be used as informational material for nurses and as study material for nursing care students.

Životní styl, oblíbené činnosti a největší obavy občanů ve věku 65 a více let / Lifestyle, the most popular activities and concerns of citizens aged 65 and over.GAPKOVÁ, Jiřina January 2013 (has links)
Demographic statistics show that nowadays a proportion of seniors is increasingly growing in our population. Therefore it is very important to pay close attention to this group. The threshold age of sixty-five years is mainly associated with a longer retirement age. This turn occurs from day to day when a person has got a much more leisure time and must to cope with it in some way. I focused on the lifestyle, favourite activities and the greatest fear of people over 65 years in my diploma thesis. The thesis concentrates to an interconnection of the lifestyle with the health and the state of health of an individual. The research sample consisted of thirty respondents from the districts of Mladá Boleslav and České Budějovice. The respondents were approached by a random selection. Fifteen respondents, nine women and six men were from the district of Mladá Boleslav, ten women and five men were from the district of České Budějovice. There were established quota criteria - the age over 65, the residence in the district of Mladá Boleslav or in the district of České Budějovice and a willingness to take part anonymously in the research too. The research in the given areas took place in the months from December to March and in various environments: in libraries, shopping centres, traffic means (train, bus) as well as in streets of towns and villages. The results were processed in form of thirty case studies which were written in three areas: the identification, health and lifestyle and leisure time. Transparent tables were developed from the case studies. The interviews show that among the most favourite seniors´ activities belong reading of books, newspapers and magazines, watching TV and doing crossword puzzles. These three the most often and the most favourite activities were indicated both by respondents from the district of Mladá Boleslav and from the district of České Budějovice as well. The respondents´ greatest fear is of their health, it is followed by the fear of losing their children. These two concerns appeared on the top places at both of the groups of respondents. The third frequent fear was mentioned as a concern about the household in the district of Mladá Boleslav and the fear of the loneliness in the district of České Budějovice. Eleven of the thirty respondents said, that they have no fear (five in the district of Mladá Boleslav and six in the district of České Budějovice). The practical part also showed that cultural and social events are attended by nineteen from the thirty respondents, eleven of them do not take part in any events, most commonly for the reason of a poor state of their health or for the reason they do not want it at all. Eighteen respondents participate in sporting events, actively only four of them, twelve respondents do not attend any sporting events. None of them studies Academy or University of the Third Age and seems to be interested in studies. Only two seniors from the district of Mladá Boleslav are members of the seniors´ club. Differences in the lifestyle, favourite activities and the fears between the districts of Mladá Boleslav and České Budějovice are minimal. Following hypotheses can be drawn on the basis of the research, though it would be advisable to check them on a larger number of respondents. ?Seniors´ lifestyle is largely influenced by the state of health.? ?Especially the concern about the poor state of health belongs to the most frequent mentioned seniors´ fears? ?Mainly reading of books, watching TV and doing crossword puzzles belong to the most favourite seniors´ activities.? The diploma thesis could be used as a support of the healthy lifestyle and at the same time it could be used for an expansion or implementation of leisure-time activities for seniors from the districts of Mladá Boleslav and České Budějovice at the age group of people over 65.

Epidemiologická situace ve výskytu svrabu v České republice v letech 2003 - 2012 / Epidemiological situation of scabies incidence in the Czech Republic within period 2003 - 2012KUCHAŘOVÁ, Eliška January 2014 (has links)
Theoretical part of dissertation was written on the basis of studying professional literature. It provides overview of Scabies disease, its epidemiological incidence, transmission, clinical course, diagnostics and also of its treatment. Practical part was formed retrospectively by qualitative research and secondary data analysis. These data were collected from different publications from the State Health Institute in Prague and the Health Information and Statistics Institute in the Czech Republic. The main aim of this dissertation was analyzing the trend of scabies incidence in the Czech Republic within ten years period (2003 2012). Moreover the practical part of this dissertation contains information related to trends of scabies incidence in individual districts of the Czech Republic depending on age, sex, team, seasonal index, or epidemiological scabies incidence as occupational disease. Linear regression was used to assess the incidence trend. Subsequently correlations were ascertained by using method of correlation coefficient calculation. In the research it was found that registered scabies incidence seems to more likely be decreasing from the beginning of followed period (i.e. from the beginning of 2003). According to the seasonal index the most common incidence of this disease within followed period was in October. On the other hand the lowest scabies incidence was in June. The highest sickness rate was recorded in the district Ústí nad Labem with almost 50 cases per 100 000 inhabitants. Scabies as occupational disease belongs to the most common recorded transmissible and parasitic disease in the Czech Republic, mainly at nurses in the hospitals, attendants in retirement homes, in internal wards and in social care institutes. The highest incidence rate was notified in age categories from 5 to 9 years. There exists strong positive linear correlation between scabies incidence and age. Epidemiological scabies incidence in the Czech Republic had two main peaks during period 1965 2012, in 1970 and 1993.
