Morávková, Jitka January 2012 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis Media Representation of Adultery and Its Participants From the 1970s is to analyze and describe the image of partner infidelity in selected Czech and Czechoslovak television series through the time and sociocultural context. The analyzed material and topic requires first an outline of the basic media theories, with focus on the theory of media construction of reality. Then follows the theoretical concept of partnership and adultery, at first seen through the optics of social context and then through the partnership itself, which helps us to understand the imaging analysis, models and stereotypes in the stories. The third theoretical chapter brings a brief description of the history of the Czechoslovak and Czech series, with an emphasis on the period since the 1970s accompanied by the theory of construction of reality in television series. We analyze three series - Nemocnice na kraji města, Život na zámku and Ordinace v růžové zahradě; our analysis is based on qualitative methods, specifically the naratological and discourse analysis, which helps us in the end to answer the defined research questions, to record the occurrence of certain models or stereotypes in the image of unfaithful characters, plots and other interesting phenomena within the social context of the series.

Vybrané etické problémy, s nimiž se může setkávat sociální pracovník v domově pro seniory při péči o umírající klienty. / The selected problems in the home for elderly people from the perspective of social worker

PFEFFROVÁ, Petra January 2017 (has links)
Master's project identifies, describes, analyses and provides sugestions of solving ethical problems whom social worker is dealing with when working and looking after clients in terminal phase of their life. Master's project is divided into 4 chapters. First chapter is focusing on explanation of terms like dying, aging, nursing home and social worker. Second chapter is about explanation of chosen ethical terms with whom social worker is often dealing with. Third chapter is focusing on each of all areas where problems may occur for social worker during his work, for example moving clients to the hospital, keeping their privacy during stay in a double bed room and optimizing daily schedules of dying patient. Last area of interest is divided into providing tasks like feeding, hygiene and spiritual care. Last chapter is conclusion of those problems with ideas and examples how to solve them. Moving clients in terminal stadium of their life is within competences of a nurse, however, it would be better if nursing homes would have their own doctors, who could examine and analyse each patient individualy. Dying in a double bed room with presence of another patient is uncomfortable and displeasing moment, that could be solved with spare room, where this roommate could stay during last moments of that dying patient. Food is served in accordance with schedule, which could be good to adjust to clients individual needs. Same adjustments would be good in schedule of staff, to ensure 24 hour care. Spiritual care is insufficient, and social worker is responsible for this situation and should fix it along with coopreation of various churches.

Zvýšení efektivity třídění nebezpečného odpadu v Nemocnici Český Krumlov a.s. / Increasing the efficiency of hazardous waste sorting at the hospital Česky Krumlov a.s.

SELINGEROVÁ, Šárka January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with the handling of waste and linen. It is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the history of Česky Krumlov hospital and is followed by an in-depth look at the history and development of the handling of waste and linen in a medical facility etc. In the practical part of the research qualitative-quantitative methods were used in the form of observation, interview, questionnaire and secondary data analysis. In Česky Krumlov Hospital I observed the ongoing activities and gathered data. The research sample for the interview consisted of 10 respondents. The questionnaires consisted of 21 questions. A secondary analysis of operating rules, guidelines and waste management legislation was used. The main objectives of the research were to compare the system of waste and linen handling in Česky Krumlov hospital with applicable legislation and rules of operation. In so doing, to determine whether there are shortcomings in the separation of waste and the handling of laundry and in which department(s). In addition, to compare the production of waste in amount and time with regards to the use of disposable devices and instruments. Finally, to monitor the way employees separate waste in the hospital and compare the approach to it between smokers and non-smokers.For the purpose of this research five research questions and four hypotheses were put forward: V1: Does the procedure for handling waste meet legislative requirements and the current operating system? V2: Does the system of separation and disposal of waste differ in individual departments and if so why? V3: Can a more effective system for waste management be found? V4: Does the procedure for handling linen meet legislative requirements and the current operating system? V5: Can a more effective way of handling laundry be found? H1: The attitude to the separation of waste is different in smokers and non-smokers. H2: The sorting method depends on education. H3: The sorting method depends on the job position. H4: The sorting method depends on the amount of work experience of employees. Interviews were transcribed using MS Word 2007, and then processed using XMind 6. The hypotheses were statistically analyzed. In addition, information from my observations, interviews and the operating rules and directives for hospital staff helped me to answer the research questions. On the basis of the statistical findings all the hypotheses, with exception to H1, were confirmed. Hypothesis H1 was refuted. During the work all the objectives were met with exception to the fifth objective where problems relating to the quality of services provided by the laundry in České Budějovice Hospital, a.s. were identified. A comparison of the waste management system in Česky Krumlov Hospital a.s. with its operating rules, guidelines and legislation shows that overall the procedures correspond. There were just a few exceptions in the form of unlocked containers for infectious waste and a lack of signatures on labels of some of the staff responsible. During my observation no errors occurred in the separation of waste. The hospital has established a uniform system, whereby the procedures only vary according to the type of waste. The established system of waste separation in Česky Krumlov Hospital a.s. is very good, fully compliant with legislative requirements and is efficient. When comparing the production of general waste over time, the amount is decreasing. However, the amount of hazardous waste being produced is increasing. It was found that the attitude to waste separation does not differ in smokers and non-smokers and that university-educated workers separate less waste at work than others due to the type of job within the organization. Nurses recycle more and more responsibly. The same can be observed for employees with more work experience. I found minor discrepancies in the handling of laundry and the current operating rules.

The work is engaged in pastoral care of ill people in the hospitals in Czech Republic. The theoretic part shows up the concept of illness, basic needs of ill people and the concept of pastoral care of ill people in the view of chosen authors. The practical part contains the comparison of two forms of pastoral care of ill people. It is the service of five pastoral assistants, who are exercising their service in hospitals, and the service of five priests, who are visiting hospitals within their service in parishes. The pastoral assistants work in hospital four up to eight hours a day during working days and they exercise the pastoral care in the form of accompanying of ill people {--} that means they are in a dialogue with ill people and they participate in their life situations. The priests visit hospitals mainly in order to sacrament dispense. By the confrontation of the service of both groups of persons involved in pastoral care of ill people with that, what chosen authors write about this service, appeared that only the pastoral assistants fulfil the intention of the pastoral care of ill people, that is the accompanying of ill people in their difficult situation of illness.

VANIŠOVÁ, Ivana January 2009 (has links)
It is proven that the capacity to form human resources and use them with a view of achieving organization´s objectives is one of the essential factors of business success. Human resource management is the latest policy of the work with personnel and it becomes the most significant component of organization´s management. Healthcare facilities represent specific entities. In connection with the reform measures of health services, privatization of hospitals and other circumstances, a trend has appeared recently to convert healthcare facilities to market entities and operate them on base of market principles. In my thesis I tried to cover and evaluate the process of human resource management in the University Hospital in Pilsen which is the largest healthcare facility of the Pilsem Region. The objective of the thesis was achieved. The thesis can be used by the hospital, especially those employees who are in charge of human resource management, to improve the process. Moreover, it can serve to experts as well as general public to acquire more information and form an idea on the situation of human resource management in a large healthcare facility
