Podpora činnosti nestátní neziskové organizace komerční společností a jejich spolupráce při pořádání charitativních a benefičních akcí / Support of activities of non-profit organization by a profit organization, their cooperation on organizing a charity eventKovářová, Veronika January 2013 (has links)
The goal of this master thesis is a to establish basic characteristics of events produced by non-profit organizations in cooperation with profit organizations, to assess their management, production and funding problems and to provide solutions to these problems. This will be achieved through detailed analysis of the "Koncert proti konci světa" concert. Another goal is to assess, if the model of cooperation of non-profit and profit sector can generally work. The analysis of the event is carried out with access to internal information sources of the subjects and with guided interviews with the key people of the project. Another part of the thesis is a theoretical definition of non-profit organizations with focus on their classification, marketing and funding.

PR v neziskových organizacích / Public relations in NGOsHrabětová, Lea January 2017 (has links)
Hrabětová, L., Public relations in non-profit organizations. Diploma Thesis. Prague: Charles University in Prague, 2017. The thesis aims to develop a methodology PR for smaller non-profit organizations. PR analysis was carried out in a non-profit organization Charity Opava, which fulfills its mission, and its activities shows that PR function can improve the organization's image and provide a solid foundation for fundraising and marketing activities. Without a functional PR is the systematic implementation of fundraising activities elusive. I formulated a methodology based on the information gathered from semistructured interview with Ivo Mludek which has a PR of Charita Opava in chargé, from his lecture on PR for organizations working in social services in Charity Jesenik dated 20 of October 2016 and analysis of publicly available documents . Keywords: non-profit organizations, public relations in non-profit organizations, fundraising, cause-related marketing, Charity Opava, PR tools

Donor decision making in a non-profit religious organisationWeideman, Eleanor 12 1900 (has links)
Thesis (PhD)--Stellenbosch University, 2012. / ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The non-profit sector has grown and changed substantially since its origins more than 2 000 years ago. At present there is an increase in organised voluntary activity around the globe, which reflects a set of social and technological changes, as well as an increasing lack of confidence in the ability of the state to render certain vital services. NPOs that do not work in the fields of housing, the aged, HIV/AIDS and education, for instance organisations doing missionary work, are faced with the difficult task of procuring funds within this highly competitive environment.
The overall purpose of relationship marketing is customer retention and development, not simply a series of transactions. With this in mind, it seems that relationship marketing has an important role to play in the non-profit sector. Why is it then so difficult to "sell brotherhood like soap"? To answer this question tools have been developed and adapted to fit the non-profit sector.
Donor behaviour plays a crucial role in the survival of an organisation and insights into behaviour can give the organisation an edge over its competitors. In the case of this study the research problem relates to the identification of the dimensions impacting on donor behaviour in religious (Christian) organisations.
A conceptual model of donor behaviour in religious non-profit organisations was developed and used for the eventual formulation of 23 hypotheses to guide the study and to represent the possible relationships. For the statistical analysis it was deemed necessary to revise both the model and the proposed hypotheses. The model was split into three models:
- Perceptions of non-profit organisations;
- Individual donor characteristics; and
- Donor perceptions of the non-profit organisation.
A thorough overview of the literature was undertaken, mainly to investigate the nature of the non-profit sector in general as well as in South Africa, its marketing and behaviour of its donors. The conceptual model that was developed through the literature study was used to develop a measuring instrument specifically for this study for collecting primary data.
It was empirically tested in a religious (Christian) non-profit organisation in South Africa by collecting primary data. Questionnaires were mailed to its whole donor database. The questionnaires returned were captured with the aid of an Excel spreadsheet and merged with data from the donor database. The first step was to assess the validity and reliability of the measurement instrument used. Next, an exploratory factor analysis was done to identify the unique factors evident in the study data. The next step entailed testing the proposed theoretical model by means of the "Structural Equation Modelling" technique.
The results of the data analysis led to the creation of a model suitable for the management of the donors of a Christian missionary organisation. This study is a pioneering study of donor behaviour in South African religious non-profit organisations, in particular Christian organisations. It is clear from the results that donors of religious organisations react differently than donors of other non-profit organisations and therefore that different approaches are needed to secure Christian donor loyalty and trust.
'n Konseptuele model is ontwikkel om donateurs, soos dit verband hou met religieuse nie-winsorganisasies se gedrag, te ontleed. Die model is gebruik as riglyn vir die navorsing, asook om uiteindelik 23 hipoteses te formuleer en hulle moontlike onderlinge verhoudings uiteen te sit. Gebaseer op die statistiese ontledingsproses, is die model en die voorgestelde hipoteses aangepas. Die model is onderverdeel in drie modelle:
- Persepsies van nie-winsorganisasies;

糧食安全援助與非營利組織之研究 / A Study of the Aid for Food Security and the Non-Profit Organizations戴思佳, Teyla Valeska Darce Zuniga Unknown Date (has links)
糧食安全援助與非營利組織之研究 / The International Organizations the same as the non-profit organizations are aware of how much this issue matter around the world and the government from the different more vulnerable countries represent in many cases, the principal problem that difficulties the work of the non-profit sector. There is a clear need to build a new system strategy for each bloc according to their characteristics in order to apply the correct plan for ensuring the food access for all the people as equals, but there is no doubt that the income inequality is a social issue that affects every country in the world and that also bring consequences for the food security of the people in countries such as Haiti. This topic was selected for its importance worldwide, in order to analyze the type of work of the non-profit organizations in the food security sector as aid channels in Latin American and the Caribbean regions, and how their partnership with government agencies and international organizations is indispensable for the complementation of the work.
And the research finding of the two cases study is about the capacity of sustainability that the farmers of the countries can reach through the aid for food security provided by the non-profit organizations, and on the other hand, the dependency that the aid provided can cause in the donors (in the case of Haiti). The potential that both regions have to improve the food security and develop the agricultural sector, but also explaining the case of the most poor countries in each region (Nicaragua and Haiti), both cases study serve to compare the different activities of the NPO and how their work affect the sustainability and development of the beneficiaries in the field of food security.

Zdroje financování neziskových organizací v konkrétních podmínkách občanského sdružení Pohoda / Sources of funding of non-profit organizations in the specific context of the civic association PohodaBrožová, Michala January 2010 (has links)
Final thesis is focused on the funding of non-governmental non-profit organizations. It consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part contains two chapters. The first chapter will introduce us to the subject of non-profit organizations, their characteristics and differences in comparison to the profit-making sector. The second chapter contains information concerning the funding of such organizations, specifically the different options that can be used by organizations as a means of fundraising. In the practical part of the thesis I will demonstrate the issue of non-governmental non-profit organizations by analysis of the sources of funding for a specific organization. In this case this will be the Pohoda civic association. The thesis will also establish whether all available options of funding have been used.

He has no claim that I have to do anything” : A qualitative study on leadership and motivation in non-profit organizationsNilsson, Hanna, Persson, Elin January 2019 (has links)
In this bachelor’s thesis we have studied leadership and motivation in non-profit organizations. Our purpose was to find out if there is a specific leadership style required in a non-profit organisation and if it there is a special form of motivation needed to succeed with volunteering. We have, through qualitative method, performed nine semi-structured in-depth interviews with three different organizations, which have been the base for our empirical material. Inspired by the hermeneutics we went into the process with a pre-understanding that it requires more from a leader in a non-profit organization than it does in a commercial enterprise. Our understanding was that commercial and non-profit organizations use different ways of motivation because financial compensation is lacking in non-profit organizations. In order to process our empirical data, we used coding to easily retrieve important information from our printed material. In order to further analyze the material, we have taken the help of four scientific articles, a doctoral dissertation and the theories of leadership, motivation and power. Our result shows that the leadership that works best in a non-profit organization is a situational leadership style. However, no specific leadership style is required, it depends on the purpose of the business, its values and working methods. The motivation of volunteers comes primarily from their own interest, involvement and participation in the organization. Thus, the pre-understanding we entered into is disputed, as the individuals who engage voluntarily have a basic interest in the organization's work and therefore are not in need of further motivation.

A relevância da informação contábil para os investidores sociais privados de entidades do terceiro setor no Brasil: uma investigação empírica / The relevance of accounting information for private social investors in Brazilian non-profit organizations: an empirical studyCruz, Cassia Vanessa Olak Alves 09 June 2010 (has links)
This dissertation is part of a research line aimed at understanding the value of accounting information for donors when making investment decisions in non-profit organizations. As this theme has received little attention in the Brazilian context, this research aims to examine the relevance of accounting information to explain private investments in Brazilian non-profit entities qualified as Public Interest Non-Governmental Organizations (OSCIP), by analyzing the relation between accounting information and private donations and contributions. Agency theory and demand theory represent the theoretical foundations to: (i) examine the relation between accounting information that communicates the entitys operating efficiency and private investments by individual and institutional donors; and, in addition, (ii) examine the association between accounting information that signals the organizations reputation and private investments by individual and institutional donors. Based on an empirical-positivist methodological approach, the research was developed predominantly through quantitative analysis, using factor and regression analysis of accounting information and evidence from 124 entities qualified as OSCIP, whose data for 2006 and 2007 were obtained from the Ministry of Justices National Registry of Public Service Entities (CNEs/MJ) and the Internal Revenue Services National Registry of Legal Entities (CNPJ). The results found suggest that accounting information about the OSCIPs operating efficiency is relevant to explain private investments in these organizations, although this relevance refers to institutional and not individual private investments, as opposed to research findings from more developed countries like the United States. It was also found that this accounting informations explanatory power is low. A significant relation was identified between accounting information that signals the OSCIPs reputation and private donations and contributions. These findings entail practical implications. In the first place, the results appoint that more informed social investors are more sensitive to accounting variables, which indicates that efforts by regulatory entities to reduce the cost of this information would be useful. In addition, evidence suggests that Brazilian non-profit entities qualified as OSCIP can use accounting to inform potential institutional social investors about the use of the collected resources. Finally, the low explanatory power of accounting information can indicate the need to: (i) disclose other elements about institutional performance; and to (ii) improve accounting information about non-profit organizations, such as the separation of expenses per activity and functional category.

Facilitator and inhibiting factors to a knowledge management implementation in an association of professionals: the case SAE Brazil.Rocha, Adilson Castro de Souza 06 November 2007 (has links)
The main objective of this research is to identify various factors that either hindered or supported the Knowledge Management implementation in a non-profit association of professionals focused in a specific theme - the SAE Brazil (Society of Automotive Engineers - chapter Brazil) - an association with approach in the Mobility Engineering theme. This work also analyses which models, factors, mechanisms and results can be generalized and extended to other associations. In the bibliographic revision, it is aimed to link a detailed analysis of two Knowledge Management central processes - creation and transmission of knowledge - with an analysis of a Knowledge Management model, which uses these processes. Based on considerations about models proposed by Shankar and Gupta (2005), this work suggests a complementation to these models, proposing a Knowledge Management implementation guide which includes analysis even for motivator and facilitator factors or dismotivating and inhibiting factors to the knowledge generation. There also is a short analysis about differences between mercantile companies and nonprofit organizations, as important and complementary aspect for this work. The applied methodology was action research, with full participation of the author in the Knowledge Committee of SAE Brasil. From the case analysis, using the implementation guide developed in this work, this research shows conclusions about Knowledge Management implementation which are extensive to other associations with the same profile.
