Galerie umění a akviziční politika v době normalizace / Czech public art collections and the acquisition policy during the normalization era

Sloupová, Andrea January 2016 (has links)
The doctoral thesis Czech public art collections and the acquisition policy during the normalization era deals with the topic of domestic institutional operation in 1970s and 1980s, with specific focus on activities of galleries incorporated in the national, hierarchically organized network of art institutions. The research of these acquisition activities uncovers composition of the works of art acquired this way. It finds aspects in which individual institutions differed and detects the reasons behind these differences. Besides the acquisition process itself, the thesis also outlines the circumstances of establishment of the gallery network and summarizes its activities in more tolerant 1960s based on various material sources and oral history. The acquisition policy of galleries as such is analysed in the thesis covering the period from the beginning of the year 1970, when the resolution of the turning meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in April 1969 started to be fulfilled, until the end of the year 1989. Geographically, it is limited to the Czech territory. The results obtained by the analysis point out fundamental differences between individual institutions and between regions in which they operated. The results bring answers to questions concerning...

Šeliga, Vojtěch January 2018 (has links)
1 Abstract The thesis explores the role of the contemporary underground subculture. The study critically deals with the "underground myth": the idea that the underground community had a major influence on the fall of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia. Furthermore, the theoretical part describes popular culture and subcultures theories. Also, the historians' view of the normalization proces and the role the underground played in the fall of the communist regime. The principal part of the work analyses interviews with four figures of the underground community. The research sample was designed to cover the main significant "structures and institutions" of the underground. The analysis of the interviews is complemented by the content analysis of the Voknoviny magazine. The results show that while the current underground is based on the tradition of its pre-revolution predecessor, it now fits within the dominant society framework. The interviewees agreed that the role of the underground in the collapse of the communist regime lied primarily on uniting the opposition. Although Voknoviny has a larger readership than...

Normalizace hyperspektrálních obrazových dat / Normalization of hyperspectral image data

Grísa, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
The airborne hyperspectral remote sensing is used as an approach to monitor and analyse actual state of environmental components. This thesis deals with hyperspectral image data, especially it is focused on normalization with respect to scanning angle. The thesis proposes specific algorithm, which is based on the statistical analysis of spectral lines across the scan line and on a physical models describing the process of spectral reflectance. An important part of this thesis is software implementation of proposed algorithm, that allows to calculate required normalization for real datasets.
