Vnímání studia na Vysoké škole ekonomické v Praze v období normalizace jejími tehdejšími studenty / Students view of their former studies on Prague's University of Economics during the period of so-called normalization in Czechoslovakia

Doležal, Petr January 2018 (has links)
In this diploma thesis I have analyzed the view of University of Prague's former students towards their studies in the so called normalization era in Czechoslovakia. The aim of this study was to discover how much different were the former studies compared to the current ones. The accent was pointed primarily on economic sciences. Apart from the theoretical economical education was also the ideological way of education influence analyzed. The result of such analysis should then answer the question whether the education during the normalization period was entirely ideologically manipulated and totally uncorresponding with the today's education of economics, as many laics believe, or not. I have also uncovered the fact whether the former indoctrinated education can be practically applied by former students in their current laissez fair oriented employment. Although this study confirms, based on former students and educators narratives, relatively significant occurrence of communism ideology in university's education as a whole, the professionalism of purely economic oriented sciences at VŠE though, cannot be disclaimed. Ideologically affected subjects were therefore necessary, but at the same time they were only a partial complement of the highly valuable scientific economical education at University...

Svět křídel : životopisná vyprávění příslušníků 1. leteckého dopravního pluku sloužících na letišti Ostrava-Mošnov / World of wings

Vašut, Jaroslav January 2013 (has links)
The main objective of this work is to expand knowledge about the history of the 1st Air Transport Squadron, from the time it was established in 1946 until it was disbanded in 1993. Findings are based on interviews, with former members of the transport squadron serving at Ostrava Mošnov Airport, which were directed using the oral history method. The work also takes information from available archive sources and literary sources. The distinctiveness of the topic (an elite air transport squadron entrusted with special purpose tasks within the army), which is put in historic context, is reflected in the text. However, the author places the greatest emphasis on the conditions of a professional soldier's everyday life. The author does not present definite conclusions, on the contrary, he endeavours to view the specific issue from various viewpoints. The soldiers serving with the air transport squadron are not portrayed as extraordinary supermen, but as men and women for many of whom serving with the air force was not simply satisfaction of their enjoyment of flying, but was also hard, demanding and, frequently, very dangerous work, which was not always undertaken for personal benefit, but because of their deep connection with their country, and which strongly affected not only their own lives but also...

Život v jednom podniku. Elektropřístroj Písek. Průzkum české společnosti v období 60. - 80. let. / Lifetime in one company. Elektropřístroj Písek. Survey of Czech society in 60. - 80. years.

Schwubová, Martina January 2014 (has links)
Abstrat: The aim of this thesis is to reconstruct the everyday life of employees of Elektropřístroj Písek, by using the methods of oral history and other archival sources. Every single period of time was affected by building a socialist society and its consolidation. Helping the farmers by patronage of JZD was later replaced by a companionship with a soviet enterprise. Also work and social conditions were changing during particular periods of the comunist regime. A democratisation process and a more free society that culminated in the year of Prague Spring, which was reflected both in employees' initiative and in the company organization and its economy, was characteristic of the sixties of the last century. The August invasion ment a sudden change and the following period of condition consolidation completely suppressed liberal tendencies of previous development. The whole period is completed by stagnation in the eighties, atempts of ecomonic revival after M. Gorbačov's appointment, the revolution in 1989 and denationalization of the company during main privatization. Key words: industrial enterprise, central planning, normalization, transformation, oral history, everydayness

Jan Palach v pamětech obyvatel města Všetaty / Jan Palach lives on in the memories of those living in Všetaty

Luzar, Kamil January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis focuses on the perception of the personality of Jan Palach by the inhabitants of the town of Všetaty. People of different generations, gender and education who shared his place of birth or residence with him. The whole study is based on a thorough heuristic work, which helped to draw the historical context. However, the emphasis is put mainly on the subjective statements of the addressed narrators, processed by years of proven methodological procedures of oral history. The focus is given to ordinary people who do not have direct family or friendly ties to Jan Palach. And because he himself wanted to snatch just such an ordinary Czechoslovak citizen from post-occupation lethargy, the study focuses on the degree of direct or indirect influence on the lives of the narrators.
