The graduation thesis describes some problems of Africa in last 50 years and it pays special attention to the case of Rwanda. It contains also a short history of the african continent as the roots of many conflits have originated hundreds of years ago. It concretely describes 6 african countries: Somalia, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Uganda and a special chapter is dedicated to the civil war and genocide in Rwanda.

The subject of this Master's thesis is an accounting and a funding of non-profit organizations with a main focus on civic associations. The theoretical part defines both the nonprofit sector's main features and the characteristics of civic associations, its legislation including. The practical part is devoted to civic association called "Junák - Association of Scouts in the Czech Republic". The main focus is on its management in the period of 2007 - 2011 and on the relationship of the Junák's headquarters toward his subordinate organizational units.

This thesis deals with a strategy of non-profit organization on a concrete example of the civic association ZaKladno. ZaKladno is still relatively short-lived organization, which is still developing. Practice shows that for subsequent systematic and efficient development of the organization is need for a strategic plan. Creating a realistic strategic plan is the goal of this thesis. The theoretical part deals with the principles and legislation of the non-profit sector in the Czech Republic. The methodology of the theoretical part is based on a literature review. The practical part consists of a description of the current state of the cultural sector in the Czech Republic, principles of operation of civic association ZaKladno and especially a draft strategic plan for the association. The conclusion discusses the confirmation or refutation of hypotheses and outlines other problems to solve.

The topic of this diploma thesis is the media image of the Velvet Revolution related to various conspiracy theories. This view can be traced in Czechoslovak (and later Czech periodicals) on the basis of predetermined storylines. The specified period for the analysis of individual elements of these theories is from November 17, 1989 to about mid-1993, or earlier if the periodical ceased to be published. The period of the Velvet Revolution is a fundamental period of our republic, which at this time underwent an economic, political, social transformation… And few aspects of everyday life remained the same as before the revolution. Because this change took place so suddenly and so quickly, a lot of rumors, misinformation, and conspiracy theories began to spread to explain to some extent what had happened, especially if they did not like the officially recognized version of events. It is these alternative explanations of the events of that time that are the subject of this work. The title of this master´s thesis is the elaboration of a design for a newly builded building of civil importance - a cultural center. Object is 3 storey, situated on the flat plot in the wider center of Trencin. The center includes a concert hall and facilities for training and recording musical productions. The concert hall forms the left part of the building and consists of a stage, adjacent auditoriums with 352 seats, communication spaces and backgrounds for needs of performance. On the right side there are facilities for testing and recording of music with its own facilities, an entrance hall with a café and a seating area. The construction system consists of a monolithic vertical and horizontal RC structure, complemented in a concert hall with a beam ceiling. The roof is flat in 2 levels, the facade and the envelope of the building is a combination of glass facade and the ETICS insulation system, the highest part of the building is created by cetris tiles. Drawing part is drawn in AutoCAD, other programs used (eg to calculate physical properties of structures etc.) are DEKsoft, WDLS.

This diplom´s thesis deals with evaluation of the finance situation in non-profit organization Klokanek Brno. The aim of this work is to analyze earnings and expenditures, evaluate the finance situation of the organization and propose recommendations for improvement of the finance situation. This analysis results from theoretical background which is covered in first part. In the second part is presented analysis of earnings and expenditures and in the third part are recomendations related to the imrovement of the non-profiting organization Klokanek Brno.

The master thesis focuses on the non-profit organizations and forms their financing. The theoretical part is oriented for juridical legislation of non-profit sector, as well as demarcation of basic concepts and characteristic of forms non-profit organizations. The practical part is introduced organization organizations in which I doing analysis of the financial situation with selected method and in the conclusion of the work I propose solution that should contribute to improving the stabilization financing and development organizations.

This dissertation thesis is trying to find and apply a political-geographical approach to the study of political activities of the civil society. At first, it searches it theoretically, for example on the bases of theories of democracy, relations among the state and civil society, social capital etc. It stresses an importance of an active role of a citizen as an actor in liberal democracy, in a complex society, but also a conflictful character or forms of a part of civil society, which, by its public control, finally contributes to strengthening and maintaining of democracy. It also admits a possible risk of conflict with representative democracy. The thesis tends towards those approaches which investigate the relationship of the civil society with the state and the commercial sphere, in which conflicts occur in the (public) space and about the space. Thereafter, the issue is studied empirically on the example of local and regional level in the Liberec Region, where impacts of a hierarchical level, a distance from the centre, the territory resettled after the Second World War and other possible geographical influencing factors. This master thesis is dealing with topic of citizen's involvement and civic participation in context of professionalized civil society organizations 's activities. The work is based on theoretical concepts of political and civic participation. Subsequently, civic participation and citizen's involvement is seen in the sense of civic activities carried out within or through civil society organizations and they include various forms in which citizens participate in public life, usually without financial reward. The paper also presents the concepts of professionalization that frame the subsequent reflection on the nature and potential of civic participation and citizen's involvement into activities of professionalized civil society organizations. The main part is a qualitative research whose aim is to describe and understand, from perspective of professionalized organization's representatives, how and why there is public participation within or through activities of the organization and what are the preferred forms and barriers of involvement and civic participation. The topic of this thesis is political socialization of selected former members of the Czech-German Youth Forum towards political participation and democratic citizenship. Four former members whose terms in office were between 2007 and 2009, but are still politically active were chosen. The objective of the thesis is to learn what competencies, values and thinking the Czech-German Youth Forum passed on the respondents for their further political participation and what the contextual and organisational circumstances were like within this process. In the theoretical part, selected factors of political participation towards democracy and political socialization of the youth during generally beneficial work in civil society organizations were presented. In the empirical part, qualitatively-acquired data were analyzed as they were obtained by means of interview. In the closing part, the findings were related to the theoretical framework of the thesis.
