Mluvíme o imigraci do Evropy. Analýza facebookových příspěvků Lékařů bez hranic / Talking about immigration to Europe. Analysis of facebook posts of Doctors without borders

Šlédrová, Jasňa January 2017 (has links)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the potential of organizations of civil society to influence public debate about immigration to Europe via Facebook. Conclusions introduced in this diploma thesis are based on my own empirical research as well as on literature focused on public relations. Research is designed as single case study of Facebook communication of Doctors without Borders. I explore the diversity of topics and argumentation present in the organization's communication, reactions of its audience and mutual interactions between organization and its audience. I explain that content, visual and formal aspects may play a key role when an organization is trying to address wide audience, whose ideas is willing to shape and influence. Research points out that the communication of Doctors without Borders about migration to Europe is one-sided, because it's mainly driven by activities and mission of the organization. This one-sidedness is partly compensated by engaged audience that enriches discussions under the Facebook posts of the organization with diverse topics and opinions. The thesis tries to capture the significance of tension between organization and its audience that raises inspirational discussions, which might not occur in case of absolute consensus. Key words communication, public...

Expertní kapacity neziskového sektoru se zaměřením na zastřešující platformy NNO v ČR / Expert capacity of civil sector: Focus on the NGO umbrella organization in the CR

Lejčková, Jana January 2017 (has links)
The expert capacity of umbrella NGOs is not adequately addressed in the literature, although it is a key issue. This issue is pointing to the growing demands for accountable and transparent organizations with the expertise needed in the form of professionals who can actively promote the importance and interests of NGOs in a public policy process. Expert capacity is described in this case as the ability to perform analytical work in selected umbrella NGOs which focus on advocating interests and influencing the policy process. The aim of this work is to understand the expert capacity of the umbrella platforms of NGOs in advocating their interests and their influence on policy making and to outline the possibility of more effective cooperation with the state. For this purpose were chosen all-state national umbrella platforms, which defend the interests of organizations throughout the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part, the public policy theories: policy work, policy analytical capacity and evidence-based policy making are presented to facilitate the concept of expert capacities, complemented by the theory of interdependence, which presupposes mutual cooperation between civil society organizations and the state. Second part of the thesis analyzes the policy analytical capacity of two all-round...

Operační prostor organizací občanské společnosti v současném Moldavsku / Shrinking Space? Civil Society Organizations in the Contemporary Republic of Moldova

Ryantová, Veronika January 2019 (has links)
The thesis deals with the topic of operating space for civil society organizations in the Republic of Moldova during the period from March 2017 to February 2019. The main aim of the thesis was to determine whether the case of Moldova corresponded to the concept of shrinking space for civil society defined by Saskia Brechenmacher in her paper Civil Society under Assault in 2017. Shrinking or closing space, which occurs more and more frequently in different countries throughout the world, can be defined on the basis of three main areas: tactics, impact and international reaction. The operational space for the civil sector in the Republic of Moldova differed from Brechenmacher's concept partially in the areas of tactics and international reaction and more significantly in the area of impact due to fact that that the restrictive legislation remained in the phase of a bill. As Brechenmacher's concept does not cover all aspects of operating space in Moldova, a supplementary chapter has been added. The main difference from Brechenmacher's concept was the aspect of "simulated collaboration". State officials pretended that the civil society was involved in the decision-making process, but in fact they ignored its views.

Komercionalizace OOS - sociální poslání OOS versus požadavky tržní ekonomiky / Commercionalization of non-profit organizations - social mission versus demands of the market economy

Krčálová, Gabriela January 2020 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of commercialization of civil society organizations, specifically the relationship between the social mission and the requirements of the market economy, which organizations encounter in the implementation of their own commercial activities. The research part of the work is a case study, which was carried out in the social enterprise Přestupní stanice as a hybrid form of civil society organization operating on the border of the non-profit sector and the market sector. Through a case study, the work seeks to understand the experience that managers have with situations where there is a confrontation between the social mission and the requirements of the market economy, whether they perceive this confrontation as conflict or not, and how to resolve a potential conflict. The research findings show that in the researched organization, commercialization in the form of the introduction of commercial activities serves to support goals and social mission, and both of these elements (fulfillment of social mission and implementation of commercial activities) complement each other, constantly balance and cannot be separated for functioning.

Kultura jako veřejná služba a právní formy pro její poskytování / Culture as a Public Service and Legal Forms for Its Providing

Plicková, Helena January 2012 (has links)
in English: Culture is an integral part of civil society. Its positive effect on human being affects whole society. Social relations are created by culture. For that culture is percieved as public service to which is necessary to create appropriate atmosphere for its developement. There are a number of instruments which can do that, for example legislative atmosphere, cultural politics of state, regions and towns, public and private support and motivation of citizens to participate actively. According to theatres in Prague I try to describe these instruments and to find out which legal form is the most appropriate for cultural subjects from the legislative point of view and practic functioning.
