The thesis addresses the issue of elections and electoral behavior of citizens in the town of Nový Bydžov. It is focused on assessment of factors that influence voting behavior of citizens in the town of Nový Bydžov. It describes the evolution of electoral behavior from 1994 to 2014 and verification of the applicability of the theory of electoral behavior for explanation of the electoral decision-making of the electorate in Nový Bydžov. The theoretical part addresses (describes) theoretical definition of areas that relate to the topic of the thesis. The practical part is a case study of Nový Bydžov. Subject of study is the town of Nový Bydžov, objects of study are the voters participating in the elections to the council of this city. To achieve the set goals (objectives) is recovered content of documents study (written records), a questionnaire survey, comparative methods and synthesis.

This graduation thesis Vote and Voting Behaviour of Citizen of the Town Lanškroun deals with vote and voting behaviour of inhabitants, who have permanent residence in the town Lanškroun. In thesis the returns of particular elections to municipal government of the town are characterized from years 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014. Subsequently the thesis is focused on the voting behaviour of the population. Informations about voting behaviour of citizen were obtained from performed questionnaire research. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part of graduation thesis is theoretical, which defines the basic concepts related to the topic of elections. It focuses mainly on concepts such as local democracy, local politics, vote and voting behaviour. The practical part focuses on the characteristics of the town Lanškroun, analyzes individual municipal vote and on the basis of results of the questionnaire results explains the voting behaviour of the population of Lanškroun.

The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part introduces and explains basic concepts of local politics, with detail characteristic of municipalities, municipal elections and preferential voting. This part is also concerned with research of local politics by published expert articles. This part is researched through the legislation and political expert literature. The practical part is focused on demographicaland socioeconomical description of district Benešov. The main part of thesis is the analysis of the voting results in the local elections of the municipalities in the district Benešov in 2014, particularly the preferred votes of candidates aspiring to gain a political seat with a mandate .

The present dissertation is focused on the development of the party systems on the local level of political decision making with the aim to verify applicability of the party systems theory. The dissertation is divided into two parts - the theoretical bases and the thesis itself. The theoretical part deals with the definitions of the fundamental concepts, such as a political party, a municipality, municipal administration, the municipal election system, and last but not at least it is focused on the party systems and their applicability in practice. The practical part of the dissertation is approached as a case study dealing with the town of Nýrsko. It contains a short characterization of the basic demographic and socio-economic indicator of the municipality. The thesis searches for the main factors having an influence on the party system in the municipality of Nýrsko, it inquires about the political area for the consequent study of the political system, the extent of political participation, the political plurality and the inception of political parties. Then the applicability of the party system theory and the role of political parties in the local political area are researched.

This master´s thesis deals with issues of  a local government. The research will focus on the city Olomouc. The goal will be to characterize main socioeconomic indicators of the city and evaluate their impact on the development and functioning of the local government. The next step will be identify the actors of the political process in the village and analyze their relationships and define the nature of the decision-making process of local governments on the basis of a comparison of the results of municipal elections. Research approach, that tries to take into account differences in the content and decision-making of local authorities in cities with different Population sizes. The work is proposed  as a case study. Two basic engineering approaches such as study of documents and interviews will be used for collecting of data.Other standard methodological procedures, especially comparison will be used in this work too

Key words: potential, extinct villages, Bohemian Forest, tourism This diploma thesis deals with the potential of tourism in the Protected Landscape Area of Bohemian Forest based on evaluation of localization and two chosen implementation factors. First of all, it examines the importance of the resulting potential of a extinct villages in this area. A total of 60 extinct villages are located in the area of interest in the districts of Domažlice and Tachov. Their location, history, population development and current status and information awareness have been studied. In the area of interest are presented its basic geographic characteristics as well as tourism facilities with realization factors. The text of the work is supplemented with tables, graphs, map outputs and also with the actual photographs taken by the extinct municipalities, which are listed in the annexes. The diploma thesis brought the following findings: the extinct villages have little influence on the overall potential of tourism in the Bohemian Forest Protected Landscape Area, but rather only on some local areas, there are no trails that would devote exclusively to the extinct villages in places where their high concentration. The thesis is focused on the progress of municipality revenues of municipality. There are several posible dependencys on: government sector and on tax revenues. Tax revenues are depend on the law of budgetary distribution of taxes. Tax buoyancy is calculated only for several chosen that are important for municipality budget. There are also considered irrecoverably revenues, wchich adjust the distribution of grands. It dependence on grown province of municipality. Thesis researches period of time between 19982012. Revenues volatility might be caused by amendment (retirement laws or budgetary distribution of taxes) and by economic cycle. Almoust all from kinds of revenues showed more dependency on economic cycle than on changes of government laws. The only exeption is property tax which grew even in time of economic crises becouse of amendment of law 2009.

The aim of this diploma thesis was to evaluate aggregate data on municipal grants revenue, to assess their variability in time and cross-sectional comparisons and to find factors that influence their size and dynamics. For the analysis, the data of 1 000 municipalities in the time period from 2001 to 2016 were used. Fourteen factors were identified that could influence municipal grants. Grants were grouped into items, and factor influence was monitored separately for non-investment and investment grants. A panel regression analysis was used to assess the influence of determinants, examining the dependency between the explained variables (non-investment and investment grants) and the clarification variables (individual factors). The performed analysis has shown that the non-investment grants are influenced especially by the following factors: the jurisdiction of the municipality to a particular region, the scope of delegated competences, the establishment of a school, the population of the municipality, the population aged 0-14 and 65 years or more, elections to House of Commons, built gasification and sewerage. In the case of investment grants, the following variables have been identified as statistically significant: the scope of delegated competence, the existence of a school, the municipality's area, the accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union and elections to the regional councils.

This work is occupied by analysis of regional competitive strength. The aim of this work is to find cause to influence the competitive advantage of the town Prachatice. Knowledge gained from the desk study is transformed into an application study, consequently to background of the town Prachatice. For comparative analysis are chosen several equivalent towns. The towns are compared in different competitive domains. As a summary is applied the SWOT analysis that tell us what are strength and weaknesses of the town and what are opportunities and threats for development of the town.

For the purpose of the work was selected and analysed Úsilné land adjustment projection (LAP), which is characterized by a strong representation of residential structures. Furthermore, the village development plan was analysed in terms of residential structures and border of the LAP. Development areas for multi-activities and infrastructure networks were defined, as well. As a result, a proposal for harmonizing the LAP project and the village development plan was suggested, focusing on a regional system of ecological stability, erosion protection of the settlements, communications connectivity and flood protection. Finally, benefits of the suggested solution were presented.
