Tvarová optimalizace klikového hřídele leteckého motoru / Shape Optimalisation of Aircraft Engine Crankshaft

Vopařil, Jan January 2011 (has links)
This thesis describes the variety and the width of issues connected with crankshafts of combustion engines. It distinguishes different factors, which influence the shape and size of these crankshafts and the selected findings are then transferred into the design of crankshaft for the particular engine. The thesis also presents coherent description of application of topology optimization to the particular crankshaft and also different, more complex design procedures leading to the optimal shape of crankshaft are afterwards suggested. Quality of such a design is then verified by comparative analysis of fatigue of the crankshaft.

Optimalizace regálového vystavení zboží v supermarketech / Optimization of the shelf display in supermarkets

Popelková, Magdaléna January 2010 (has links)
Category management is a process of managing product categories sold by particular retailer (examples of product categories such as: detergents, yoghurts, baby food) and a very important part of this process is the shelf display optimization. The objective of this project is to analyze the range of products sold by the retailer and to propose the optimal number of product facings on the shelf to minimize losses due to stock outs (goods being out of stock). Series of optimization problems were proposed for this objective to solve the optimal range of assortment, the optimal shelf space organization and the optimal stock of individual items on the shelf. Optimization problems were designed to be reused in practice, applying on the assortment of any retailer

Optimalizace pracovních sil / Workforce Optimisation

Pacinda, Štefan January 2011 (has links)
Title: Workforce Optimisation Author: Štefan Pacinda Department / Institute: Department of Theoretical Computer Science and Mathematical Logic (KTIML) Supervisor of the master thesis: doc. RNDr. Roman Barták Ph.D., KTIML Abstract: Workforce management deals with the problem of maintaining productive workforce for example in call centers, hospitals, transportation companies etc. It includes the problem of deciding which skills are necessarily at each given time and how many personnel with given skills is required. These decisions are followed by solving the problem of allocating particular employees to shifts while satisfying the skill demands but also other constraints derived for example from law regulations, trade unions agreements, and individual preferences. This thesis deals with workforce optimization, that is with the optimal assignment of personnel to shifts in order to cover the demand for resources that vary over time. In this paper the solved problem is described in all detail and modeled as mixed integer program. Implementation details are presented and exhaustive analysis and experiments on a real life problem instance are performed to assure that the aims of the work have been met. Keywords: Rostering, Workforce Management, Shift Scheduling

Modelová optimalizace provozu bioplynové stanice / MODEL OPTIMIZING OF THE BIOGAS PLANT OPERATION

Raška, David January 2015 (has links)
Biogas plants are installations for converting of biomass to produce biogas, which is a valuable energy source if a proper management of an anaerobic process is kept. In the Czech Republic are mainly agricultural biogas plant. This work is focused on evaluation of data obtained from a specific biogas plant, which is located in the town Úpice. This plant processes biodegradable waste. The aim of this study was to determine which waste processed are beneficial for the production of biogas. The Data were analyzed by statistical program R. The method used was cluster analysis. For comparsion of clusters was used ANOVA method (analysis of variance). The results of data analysis showed a positive effect on the production of biogas by waste from industrial processing of potatoes, grass and corn silage, rumen contents and dairy waste. Key words: Biogas, plant, anaerobic, fermentation, biodegradable, waste, data analysis

Optimalizace mikroextrakční techniky pro analýzu vod chromatografickými metodami / Optimization of microextraction technique for analysis of water by chromatographic methods

Otrubová, Lucie January 2014 (has links)
New liquid phase microextraction (LPME) has been optimized. Plastic adapter with tapered tip was used as extraction device. Concentration of analytes was determined by GC-MS. Face centered design was used to optimize LPME and the results were evaluated by Minitab 16 programme. Volume of sample, volume of extraction solvent, stirring rate, extraction time, ionic strength and time after microextraction were optimized. Response of system was defined as the sum of the peak relative areas. Toluene, tetrachlorethylene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, mesitylene and naphthalene were the studied analytes. Methylhexadecanoate was used as an internal standard. Optimal system conditions were as follows: 20 mL sample volume, 300 μL extraction solvent volume, 20 minutes, stirring speed 700 rpm, no addition of salt, and time after microextraction 3.5 minutes. Determination coefficient was 0.9700 and the lack-of-fit was insignificant which indicated good agreement of the model with the experimental data. The preconcentration factor ranged from 26 (tetrachlorethylene) to 39 (xylenes). The microextraction yield was varied from 39.5% (tetrachlorethylene) to 59.1% (p-xylene and m-xylene). The new method was tested by analyzing real samples of tap water, river water and water from the sewage treatment plant. The samples were...

Optimalizace rozsáhlých aplikací / Optimizing large applications

Liška, Martin January 2013 (has links)
Both uppermost open source compilers, GCC and LLVM, are mature enough to link-time optimize large applications. In case of large applications, we must take into account, except standard speed efficiency and memory consumption, different aspects. We focus on size of the code, cold start-up time, etc. Developers of applications often come up with ad-hoc solutions such as Elfhack utility, start-up of an application via a pre-loading utility and dlopen; prelinking and variety of different tools that reorder functions to fit the order of execution. The goal of the thesis is to analyse all existing techniques of optimization, evaluate their efficiency and design new solutions based on the link-time optimization platform. Optimalizace potrubních tvarovek / Optimization of an adapting pipes

Svozil, Jan January 2012 (has links)
Adapting pipes are a significant part of any pipe-line network and they are the sources of substantial hydraulic losses. They are designed for a manufacturing simplicity, regardless of flow. This paper concerns with lowering of hydraulic losses of adapting pipes by means of the shape optimization. Several methods of a mathematical optimization are tested and due to the complexity of the task and the need of the computational distribution among several computers, the gradient based algorithm is used. These methods loop together with a CFD software then automatically explore the design space. Several optimizations of diffusers with different opening angles, shape parameterizations and boundary conditions are made for the better insight on hydraulic losses. In three chapters there is description of development of parametric description of bend by means of Bezier surfaces. At the end optimum shape is found with hydraulic losses were decreased about 22%, which was not validated by experiment. In the final chapter is application of developed software on the shape optimization of Kaplan draft tube.
