Optimalizace ETL procesů / ETL process optimization

Žák, Vítězslav January 2010 (has links)
At a certain point of its life cycle, each data warehouse gets into a state in which the length of the ETL processing starts slowly approaching the acceptable limit. Even the slightest lapse means a hardly erasable time lag and the data supplies to users are increasingly delayed. Before the situation becomes more problematic, we need to react. This diploma thesis deals with the possible solutions of this problem- the ETL performance optimization. The main aim of the thesis is to propose the set of recommendations for the ETL process optimization and its presentation based on practical real world examples. While going through this thesis, the readers get inside the running of the real ETL optimization project. They learn how to proceed during its particular periods, what to avoid and how to reduce the risk level as much as possible. Moreover, the thesis mentions the prevention of the ETL performance loss and discusses the critical factors of the effective ETL process design. Although the proposed methods are described in a general perspective, the thesis is mainly focused on Oracle's database, which is its certain limitation. Also hardware optimization is not a part of the text. First chapters of the thesis describe the problem from the theoretical point of view, which is important for the correct understanding of the main content and the existing literature concerning this problematic is included here as well. Next sections describe the proposed methods and recommendations for the optimization of the ETL processes including tests and project results evaluation. They are mainly focused on the ETL process synchronization and the SQL code optimization areas. All the methods are presented of examples of the real project implemented by the author.

Klimešová, Petra January 2009 (has links)
Thesis deals with application of process management in a selected company. The first chapters outline the situation in the area of process management. Dealing with the history of process management, then describe the general processes that take place in companies, and a procedure in which the company usually introduces process management. The second part attends to application of process management in to company AVEX. First there is the company description, the SWOT analysis, from which come business objectives. The last part deals with the practical application of process management.

SEO optimalizace webových stránek / SEO web site optimization

Diblík, Jan January 2009 (has links)
The topic of this thesis is search engine optimization (SEO). This term covers many activities, procedures and techniques. When using SEO you can improve your position in a search engine and narrow it to so called key words. The first part of the theoretical part acquaints readers with the basic facts, statistics and defines the basic terminology. The main objective of the second part is concentrated on the main elements which affect the successes of optimalization. The practical part is dealing with analysis of the optimalized e-shop including its competitors. The changes and recommendations of improvement and development of the e-shop were suggested on the basis of the analysis, the theoretical acquirements and the experience of the author. These changes are gradually implemented in the following part of the thesis. The impact on the attendance and placement in the search engines is reviewed after the realization of the suggested above.

Optimalizace nákladů u společnosti poskytující prodejní a servisní služby / Cost optimization in a company which is offering sales and repair services

HRUBÁ, Jana January 2019 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the costs of the chosen company and through the analysis suggest provisions which will lead to costs optimization. The practical part starts with introducing the company, which was chosen for this thesis. Then the analysis of operating and financial cost is made. The optimization suggestions of selected costs are based on this analysis.

Mapování hodnotových toků / Value Stream Mapping

Paloncy, Martin January 2007 (has links)
Práce nejprve vymezuje koncept štíhlé výroby jako jeden z přístupů pro optimalizaci integrovaných logistických řetězců. Dále rozebírá a představuje základní nástroj konceptu štíhlé výroby, a to nástroj mapování hodnotových toků. Tento nástroj je v praktické části aplikován na konkrétní příklad z praxe. Jedná se o optimalizaci procesu příjmu materiálu do výrobního závodu. Součástí práce jsou také konkrétní návrhy zlepšení tohoto procesu.

Optimalizace výrobního procesu pomocí diskrétní simulace / Production Process Optimization through Discrete Event Simulation

Holubík, Jan January 2013 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with using discrete event simulation as a tool for supporting decision-making process in the company with usage of simulation software Plant Simulation. This work briefly introduces business process modeling and simulation problems. In the diploma thesis there two varieties two varieties of supplying parts, compared with each other in a process view and there is a particular proposal solution, including the economical evaluation.

Minimax v úlohách rozvrhování za nejistoty / Minimax in scheduling problems under uncertainty

Jeliga, Jan January 2019 (has links)
In this work, we deal with fixed interval scheduling problems with the possibility of random delay of the end of the tasks (FIS). First, we pre- sent the basic deterministic FIS problems and ways to solve them. Next, we introduce the concept of minimax and present two well-known and one new FIS problem under uncertainty, when random task delays are conside- red to belong to a certain uncertainty set. Next, we deal with the solution of previously presented FIS problems for five chosen uncertainty sets. We present both previously achieved and original results. The work concludes with a summary of a numerical study of two problems. First, we explore the possibility of Lagrange relaxation application to the first presented problem. Next we explore the quality of approximation allowing to solve the later of problems as LP. 1

Měření rozměrů z omezeného množství rentgenových projekcí / Dimensional measurements from a limited set of X-ray projections

Iser, Tomáš January 2019 (has links)
Modern non-destructive approaches for quality control in manufacturing often rely on X-ray computed tomography to measure even difficult-to-reach features. Unfortunately, such measurements require hundreds or thousands of calibrated X-ray projections, which is a time-consuming process and may cause bottlenecks. In the recent state-of-the-art research, tens and hundreds of projections are still required. In this thesis, we examine the radiography physics, technologies, and ex- isting solutions, and we propose a novel approach for non-destructive dimensional measurements from a limited number of projections. Instead of relying on com- puted tomography, we formulate the measurements as a minimization problem in which we compare our parametric model to reference radiographs. We propose the whole dimensional measurements pipeline, including object parametrizations, material calibrations, simulations, and hierarchical optimizations. We fully im- plemented the method and evaluated its accuracy and repeatability using real radiographs of real physical objects. We achieved accuracy in the range of tens or hundreds of micrometers, which is almost comparable to industrial computed tomography, but we only used two or three reference radiographs. These results are significant for industrial quality control. Acquiring...

Optimalizace rozmístění zásob v skladových lokacích / Optimization of Stock Locations in Warehouses

Douša, Daniel January 2019 (has links)
Warehouses contain different sections with locations that are suitable for different products divided by their size, weight, and especially turnover. The aim of the thesis is to design a model of distribution and automated reallocation of individual products within the warehouse from their receipt from suppliers to delivery to customers. It is necessary to incorporate behaviour towards new products without historical sales data, holding minimum and maximum stocks at individual locations, and adding or shifting products. The main goal of the whole work is to find an algorithm for inventory storage calculation so that the customer can get his order as quickly as possible. There are also secondary goals. These include, for example, the amount of inventory needed and the number of transfers. The solution found, even in the case of worse evaluation according to the main requirement, can be a better solution due to better evaluated side targets.
