A odsuzuje se k…: Osobní strategie návratu politických vězňů do společnosti po ukončení výkonu trestu odnětí svobody v podmínkách společenského a legislativního uspořádání 50. a 60. let 20. století. / And is sentenced to…: Personal strategies of political prisoners for returning to society after termination of imprisonment in terms of social and legislative organization of 1950s and 1960s.

Pospíšilová, Anna January 2020 (has links)
1z1 Abstract: In this thesis, on selected examples of everyday life, I deal with the issue of reso- cialization of former political prisoners from the 1950s after their return from prison. On selected biographical narratives, I point to personal ways of reintegra- tion into society, whose main ideology was the cause of their persecution. From their memories I choose the basic sphereas of life such as family, personal and social life, employment and the issue of rehabilitation not only at the personal but also at the social level. A special chapter is also devoted to the descendants of former political prisoners, whose memories illustrate the view of everyday life after their imprisonment and the subsequent return of their parents and thus re- veal the real impact of persecution activities of the communist regime in Czecho- slovakia.

Československá námořní plavba očima československých námořníků (1959 -1989) / Czechoslovak Ocean Shipping in memory of Czechoslovak sailors (1959-1989)

Krátká, Lenka January 2011 (has links)
The main target of the work is to extend our current knowledge concerning history of the Czechoslovak Ocean Shipping company during the period from the company's founding in 1959 until year 1989. The main basis for this task fulfillment there are interviews with former Czechoslovak sailors realized with help of the oral history method. Beside this, the paper is supported also by archive materials. The text reflects certain specificity of the topic (maritime business running in the inland country, in addition country ruled by non-democratic regime) and it aims to the company's history; but its main part is concentrated on the sailors' living conditions. It processes direct testimonies about sailors' life and work on Czechoslovak ships; there are included topics as travelling, emigration, direct experience with communist regime on ships, private life of sailors, and their father and husband role. The author does not propose definite conclusions; her effort is aimed to see the topic from various points of view. Sailors are not portrayed as exceptional people but as men whose meaning of life was work on the sea. And this fact principally influenced their lives as well as lives of their families.

Současní zámečtí pánové - hledání kořenů, nebo dobrá investice? / Today's chateau owners - searching for roots or good investment?

Jungmanová, Petra January 2012 (has links)
The diploma thesis, which is based on terrain oral-historical research, presents the phenomenon of chateau owners who bought the property from a town government or restituers after 1989 and therefore became the new lords. The issue presented in the title of the thesis is interpreted from eleven stories of selected owners - specifically what motivation the owners had to buy the property, whether it was their dream or a business plan, or whether they wanted to make altruistic deeds. Not only is this study focused on the motivation of the owners to buy a chateau, but the attention is drawn as well to financial issues, state recognizing the property as cultural inheritance, the meaning and future of the castle in the twenty-first century, the matter of the next generations inheriting the property, or pondering about a likely establishment of a new Czech noble class. The result of this work is a complex summary presenting what it takes to own a chateau in the twenty-first century.

"Mně bylo osmnáct let a vdávala jsem se z čistý lásky." Vývoj svatebního obřadu v komunistickém Československu / "I was eighteen and got married out of real love." Evolution of wedding ceremony in Communist Czechoslovakia

Hodačová Balvínová, Lenka January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this master's thesis is the study of the development and changes of the wedding customs in the years 1948 - 1989, i.e. during the period of communistic Czechoslovakia. These developments and changes were monitored by oral history quality research - by the direct interviews with participants in discussions and comparison with available sources and photographic documentation from the weddings in each period of time. The work is focused more detailed on the influence of the socialism and its economic and cultural conditions over the development of wedding practices and customs and then on deviations from the Western, or better to say non-communistic model of changes in wedding customs in Europe during the post-war period of the 20th Century. The research was pursued at the regional level. The narrators were selected with regard to their responsibility for the appropriate generation and to the time they have married.

Kopisty: proč jsme museli odejít! / Kopisty: why we had to leave!

Pšenicová, Barbora January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Kopisty: why we had to leave!" refers to a village in Most district which has been destroyed and its people had to be evicted based on the plan of the mining industry. As the official reason for the liquidation has been mentioned the open-cast mine Ležáky. But, the thesis demonstrates, is not the only cause. The other causes of the liquidation are deep mines Jan Hus and Julius III. and expansion of sanitary zone of chemical plants. It has been proven by the investigation and it is stated in the thesis, all these factors had crucial influence on the village. The need of increased production has caused a slump of the houses and roads in Kopisty. It is surprising that, except Ležáky and chemical plants, there is no allusion to these reasons in the official plan of liquidation. The entire thesis is based on archival sources, research and oral history. The main goal is to precisely reconstruct the process of dismantling and demolition of the village. There is a documentary evidence that the phase from 1976-1981 was not the only one and that there were already demolition of buildings before. This is also confirmed by the fact that local people knew about the liquidation already in the sixties. I do not want to avoid even the up-to-date themes as are the reclamation of the city Most,...

Náboženský život v jižních Čechách v období 1948-1989 / The religious life in South Bohemia in the period 1948-1989

Shonová, Kristýna January 2013 (has links)
The thesis Religious Life In South Bohemia In The Period of 1948-1989 deals with the issue of limitations of Catholic religious life from the Czechoslovak state. Due to the fact that after the February 1948 the Communist goverment begun to publish "new canon laws" and started targeted restrictions in the church life, it influenced countless life stories of believers. By using the method of oral history, studying achival sources of South Bohemian Regional National Committee and history literature, in my thesis I was trying to approach at least some aspects of that time in the lives of seven witnesses comprising four catholic priest and three laymen. Keywords: catholic church, policy, religion, oral history, canon laws, communism

Svět křídel : životopisná vyprávění příslušníků 1. leteckého dopravního pluku sloužících na letišti Ostrava-Mošnov / World of wings

Vašut, Jaroslav January 2013 (has links)
The main objective of this work is to expand knowledge about the history of the 1st Air Transport Squadron, from the time it was established in 1946 until it was disbanded in 1993. Findings are based on interviews, with former members of the transport squadron serving at Ostrava Mošnov Airport, which were directed using the oral history method. The work also takes information from available archive sources and literary sources. The distinctiveness of the topic (an elite air transport squadron entrusted with special purpose tasks within the army), which is put in historic context, is reflected in the text. However, the author places the greatest emphasis on the conditions of a professional soldier's everyday life. The author does not present definite conclusions, on the contrary, he endeavours to view the specific issue from various viewpoints. The soldiers serving with the air transport squadron are not portrayed as extraordinary supermen, but as men and women for many of whom serving with the air force was not simply satisfaction of their enjoyment of flying, but was also hard, demanding and, frequently, very dangerous work, which was not always undertaken for personal benefit, but because of their deep connection with their country, and which strongly affected not only their own lives but also...

Rozvadov: Porevoluční proměna příhraniční obce očima jejích obyvatel / Rozvadov: Post-revolutionary Transformation of a Border Municipality through the Eyes of its Inhabitants

Skálová, Eva January 2012 (has links)
The development of the border municipality Rozvadov since 1948 and its consecutive transformation after the year 1989 entailed two significant antipodes regarding the existence of the municipality as well as the lives of its inhabitants. In this master thesis, I tried the to capture the lifetime of the municipality before 1989 and its relatively substantial transformation in the era after the Velvet Revolution. This transformation is still under way. I use the oral history interviews with 17 vernacular narrators as a primary source. In the first part of the thesis, I observe the after-war resettlement of the researched area, the organizing of the border security policy and also the life in the direct vicinity of the "Iron Curtain" as it was perceived by the inhabitants. The second part of the thesis is first of all focused on the social transformation of the municipality and the concomitent effects following the change of the political regime. The aim of the thesis is to determine the most problematic aspects of the transformation of the Rozvadov municipality after 1989 from the perspective of the local inhabitants (but not exclusively). The main emphasis is put on the fact how these concomitent effects - the development of the sexual industry, Asian Markets or the construction of the casino - have...
