Bakgrund Ohälsa bland arbetslösa är ett stort samhällsproblem. Med lågkonjuktur och ökning av arbetslöshet krävs även samhällsinsatser form av rehabilitering och arbetsmarknadsinsatser för att få människor tillbaka till sysselsättning och därmed ekonomisk självständighet. Syfte Syftet med studien är att belysa de förändringar som sker hos individer gällande motivation och tilltro till sin egen förmåga efter genomgånget projekt hos Samordningsförbudet Östergötland. Metod Studien undersöker förändring i Outcome Rating Scale och self-efficacy efter genomförd rehabiliteringsprojekt för arbetslösa. Slutsats Det går inte att signifikant säkerställa någon förändring mellan testtillfälle ett och två. Baserat på de resultat vi har fått ta del av kan vi inte dra någon slutsats att deltagarnas egenskattade förmåga eller motivation har förändrats till följd av insatsen. / Background Poor health among the unemployed is a major social problem. The recession and rise in unemployment the community requires to take action in form of rehabilitation and employment programs to get people back into employment and hence economic autonomy. The purpose of this study is to evaluate if a change occur in the participators motivation and belief in their own abilities after completing Samordningsförbundet Östergötlands intervention. Method an empirical study was conducted with a quantitative method. Two validated models ORS and Self-efficiacy test with an added self-assessment question of individual motivation. Conclusion There is no significant data to ensure that a change has taken place between test occasion one and two. Based on the results we have, we can not conclude that the participants attitude has changed as a result of the intervention. Whether self-estimated ability or motivation.

Catalan modernism and E. d’Ors ideology of noucentisme

In this thesis we have attempted to demonstrate that Noucentisme, as defined and propugnated by Eugeni d'Ors in the Glosari 1906-1910 is a continuation of the first Catalan Modernism. This theory has in great part been influenced by research on this subject compiled by the late Eduard Valentf, in his book, KL primer modernising Catalan y_ sus fundamen- tos ideol6gicos. We have, therefore, greatly relied on his generational and theological definition of Catalan Modernism, which we elaborate upon and sum up in the first two chapters. Owing to the extensive nature of Houcentisme, as of any literary movement, we have restricted our research to the work of its originator and theoretician, Eugeni d'Ors. In our thesis we have tried to point out that d'Ors reacted against the "fin de siecle" literary movements, which were a degenerate form of the original Catalan Modernist grouping, represented by L'Avenc.that was dispersed aflter 1893. In order to demonstrate that d'Ors absorbed, reorganized, and modified Catalan literary modernism, we have proceeded by closely examining the greater part of his work and ideology between 1900 and 1910, as well as most posterior writings concerning this period of. his development. In Chapter IV ye have studied his so-called modernist writings produced between 1900 and 1905, and collected in La muerte de Isidre Nonell seguida de otras arbitrariedades,'. From these we have determined the basic "modernist" ideas forwarded by d'Ors during those years. Between Chapter V and Chapter VII we have delineated the aesthetic and political ideology which d'Ors considers to be the basis of Noucentisme, and which was primitively contained in La muerte de Isidre Nonell seguida de otras arbitrariedades. In Chapter Till we have examined the direct relations between d'Ors theories and the modernist writers. Institutional Flexibility and Business-Government Ties in China: A Comparative Study of Subnational Online Ride-Sharing Policymaking in Chengdu and Jinan

This thesis explores the puzzling subnational variation of policymaking for the online ride-hailing industry (ORS) in China. Chengdu and Jinan are two similar cities on many economic and political levels. They are both capital cities of their provinces, new first-tier cities in terms of their economic size and both have a large population. Yet, they adopted significantly different ORS policies. This thesis asks why two similar cities in China have diverging policy outcomes. Using a method of difference (MOD) strategy to compare these two similar cases with diverging outcomes, the thesis evaluates three potential explanations. They are as follows: (1) historical legacies and political communities, (2) the cadre evaluation system (CES), and (3) government-business relationships. Using a historical institutionalism theoretical framework with comparative capitalism and economic sociology roots, this thesis finds that a mixture of CES incentives and government business relationship patterns has had a determining impact on diverging outcomes in Jinan and Chengdu. There have been two phases of ORS policymaking in China until now. In phase 1, Chengdu had a laxer ORS policy than Jinan. A comparison of historical legacies and political communities tells us that Chengdu has been a more market-oriented city than Jinan. More importantly, Jinan’s government had a more intimate relationship with local taxi agencies, which proved to be the major cause of subnational differences. In phase 2, Chengdu’s ORS policy was found to be more stringent than Jinan’s. In this case, the significant variable leading to Chengdu’s tightened policy was the target-setting of the cadre evaluation system (CES). The CES specifically required Chengdu’s government to ban non-green vehicles from the ORS market while Jinan did not encounter the same requirement. Moreover, Jinan can exclude non-green vehicles from its environmental protection plan while Chengdu cannot. This thesis observes a structural distortion caused by the CES. Throughout the two phases of ORS policymaking, both governments play a consistently dominant role. However, the government-business relationship remains flexible. If the relationship is viewed as an institution, it is composed of informal procedures, conventions, and orders where actors accommodate each other. The largest privately-owned ORS enterprise, Didi, has declared that their preferences are taken into consideration by the government. Some questions remain as to how the government processes those preferences and how much importance it attaches to them, but this illustrates the mutual accommodation of the government and an enterprise within an informal institution. By some unwritten but conventional procedures, they coordinate with each other. This thesis furthers the study of the government-business relationship in China. It not only unearths the institutional factors of subnational variation for ORS policymaking, but also verifies the presence of institutional flexibility in China. This thesis is an important addition to the literature on government-business ties in China because it does beyond the study of rent-seeking to evaluate the multifaceted ways in which the Chinese government can build relationships with enterprises.

Diarrhoea management in primary health care facilities in the Cape metropole region: the caregivers' perspective

Master of Public Health - MPH / This mini-thesis, assessed the use of ORT as a treatment for childhood diarrhoea in primary health care facilities in the Cape Metropole from the caregivers' perspective. Awareness and knowledge of oral rehydration therapy (ORT) and the preparation abilities of sugar salt solution (SSS) by caregivers of children younger than 5 years attending the health facilities were assessed. The availability of resources and utensils for the use of ORS packets and SSS and the accessibility to health facilities by caregivers were also determined. Using a cross sectional descriptive study design, a baseline situation review was carried out. Primary health care facilities in three heath districts namely; Khayelitsha, Nyanga and Oostenberg were purposely selected. Ninety-two caregivers in 12 facilities participated in the study. Basic analyses of quantitative data were done using Epi-Info 2002 software. Qualitative data were analysed manually. The study found that according to caregivers, all facilities used ORS packets as their immediate treatment for uncomplicated diarrhoea, and recommended sugar salt Diarrhoea Management in PHC Facilities solution as home treatment. Ninety-one percent of caregivers used ORT at home before they presented to the health facility.Of the caregivers who were advised by the health worker to use SSS at home, 60.7%, 55.8% and 60.2% in Oostenberg, Khayelitsha and Nyanga districts respectively remembered the correct ingredients and quantities to make the solution at home. Of those given ORS packets, 94.5%, 99.0% and 98.5% respectively, remembered the quantity of water to be mixed with each packet. Packets were found to be convenient and were preferred by many caregivers as compared to SSS. The advice or health education messages given to caregivers were often unclear, and there were language barriers in Brighton and Bloekombos clinics in the Oostenberg district. A litre bottle was available in 47% of caregivers' homes, 82 % had a teaspoon and all of them had access to running water. Twelve percent and 11 % admitted to not having sugar and salt respectively when they wanted to make SSS. Eighty-eight percent walked to the health facility and 12% used taxis or buses. The study concludes that ORT is widely used in primary health care facilities for diarrhoeal disease treatment, however caregiver's knowledge and preparation abilities of SSS is still limited. The resources and utensils to prepare ORT at home were fairly available in many homes, which makes SSS preparation at home feasible and acceptable.

Feedback-informerad terapi på familjerådgivningen - Leder det till förbättring? / Feedback-informed therapy in Family counseling - Does it lead to improvement?

Följande studie handlar om feedbackorienterad terapi på Familjerådgivningen. Syftet var att mäta parens upplevda förändring av livstillfredsställelse för att se om samtalen på Familjerådgivningen gör skillnad och om förändringen enligt skattningsinstrumenten ORS och SRS överensstämde med skattningen av klimatet i parrelationen/familjen samt om det fanns några könsskillnader. Undersökningsgruppen omfattades av 29 par, som sökte hjälp på Familjerådgivningen i södra Dalarna, i Mora och i Linköping under tiden januari 2016 till maj 2016. Paren fyllde i skattningsinstrumentet ORS (som mäter förändring) i början av varje samtal och SRS (som mäter alliansen) i slutet av varje samtal. Familjerådgivaren använde sig av den feedback som gavs och korrigerade behandlingen därefter. Vid första och tredje samtalet fyllde paren i skattningsinstrumentet "Familjeklimat". Resultatet efter tre samtal visade en liten förbättring av livstillfredsställelse för både män och kvinnor vilket överensstämde med skattningen av klimatet i familjen där närheten förbättrades och kaos minskade. / The following study is about feedback informed treatment in family councelling. The purpose was to measure the couples experienced change in life satisfaction, to see if treatment sessions of family councelling makes a difference and change according to the estimation instruments ORS and SRS and is consistent with the estimate of the atmosphere in the couple´s relationship/family atmosphere and if there were any gender differences. The study group included 29 couples who sought help at the Family councelling in southern Dalarna, Mora and Linköping during the period of January 2016 to May 2016. The couples filled in the instrument ORS (measuring change) at the beginning of each session and SRS (measuring alliance) at the end of each session. The family councellor used the received feedback and corrected treatment accordingly. In the first and third session the couples filled in the "Family climate" instrument. The outcome after three sessions showed a small improvement in the life satisfaction for both men and women which were consistent with the estimate of the atmosphere and the climate in the family. The vicinity improved and chaos decreased.

Advances in machine learning, together with an abundance of available data has lead to an explosion in personalized offerings and being able to predict what consumers want, and need without them having to ask for it. During the last decade, it has become a multi billion dollar industry, and a capability upon many of the leading tech companies rely on in their business model. Indeed, in today's business world, it is not only a capability for competitive advantage, but in many cases a matter of survival. This thesis aims to create a machine learning model able to predict customers interested in an upselling opportunity of changing their payment method after completing a purchase with the Swedish payment solutions company, Klarna Bank. Hence, the overall aim is to personalize the customer experience on the confirmation page. Two gradient boosting methods and one deep learning method were trained, evaluated and compared for this task. A logistic regression model was also trained and used as a baseline model. The results showed that all models performed better than the baseline model, with the gradient boosting methods showing the best performance. All of the models were also able to outperform the current solution with no personalization, with the best model reducing the amount of false positives by 50%. / Tillgång till stora datamängder har tillsammans med framsteg inom maskininlärning resulterat i en explotionsartad ökning i personifierade erbjudanden och möjligheter att förutspå kunders behov. Det har under det senaste decenniet utvecklats till en multimiljardindustri och en förmåga som många av de ledande techbolagen i världen förlitar sig på i sina verksamheter. I många fall är det till och med en förutsättning för att överleva i dagens industrilandskap. Det här examensarbetet ämnar att skapa en maskininlärningsmodell som är kapabel till att förutspå kunders intresse för att "uppgradera" sin betalmetod efter ett slutfört köp med den svenska betallösningsföretaget Klarna Bank. Konceptet att erbjuda en kund att uppgradera en redan vald produkt eller tjänst är på engelska känt som upselling. Det övergripande syftet för detta projekt är därför att skapa en personifierad kundupplevelse på Klarnas bekräftelsesida. Följaktligen implementerades och utvärderades två så kallade gradient boosting - metoder samt en djupinlärningsmetod. Vidare implementerades även en logistisk regressionsmodell som basmodell för att jämföra de övriga modeller med. Resultaten visar hur alla modeller överträffade den tillämpade basmodellen, där gradient boosting-metoderna påvisade bättre resultat än djupinlärningsmetoden. Därtill visar alla modeller en förbättring i jämförelse med dagens lösning på Klarnas bekräftelssesida, utan personifiering, där den bästa modellen förbättrade utfallet med 50%.
