The dissertation evaluates viewpoints on the various positions of young people in criminal proceedings (the position of the offender, crime victim or witness) and deals primarily with psychological aspects of these positions. Expert theoretical arguments and theses are confronted with the experience and practice of youth and community workers. In the case studies, that are part of the work, are outlined possible ways of intervention from the point of view of youth and community workers. The work is a reflection on the given issue. It looks for an answer to the question whether the society{\crq}s interest is actually sometimes at odds with the interests of a child involved in criminal proceedings, or whether it can even cause damage to it.

The main aim of this thesis was to define one of the alternative punishments - community service from different points of view. Firstly from a historical and descriptive point of view, regarding procedural aspects and further specifics, namely cooperation with the Probation and Mediation Service. Further the thesis outlined the alternative end of the performance, specifically postponing the sentence, parole and waiving of sentence, which may happen to the offender in certain cases. Pros and cons of this kind of punishment were discussed in detail and also its position in the system of penalties, especially competition with the punishmnt house arrest. This thesis also contains a procedure for failure regarding the sentence of community service, thus transforming the prison sentence into inprisonment, the range of conditions, and other aspects. Part of the work includes a comparison with other countries, especially Slovak Republic, having this kind of punishment for a shorter time. Ethnic discrimination has deep roots in Rwanda. For many dozens of years, Tutsis have been marked down as those whose task it is to rule the country and Hutus have been treated as those who have to submit to it. As time moved on, Hutu hatred had been growing steadily and resulted in coup d'état in 1959 and consequent persecutions of Tutsis. However, hidden grudge lingered on. The pretext for its revival was the RPF incursion into the country at the beginning of nineties. The invasion also became one of the major preconditions of the fastest genocide in history. This thesis aims to pinpoint actors with direct and also indirect influence, to specify their motives, to assess implications of their decisions and on the grounds of this all to divide them into groups of perpetrators, bystanders and rescuers. The identification of psychological aspects of Hutu perpetrators was made with intent to analyse the process of Us-Them thinking with its typical features and consequences and the process of dehumanization with particular emphasis on its linguistic forms. In connection with that, this thesis points out crucial importance of Rwandan media of hate which determined anti-Tutsi propaganda to a considerable extent.

GROFOVÁ, Renata. Conditional Sentences to Imprisonment with Supervision - Its Application and Practice of Performance in Terms of the Probation and Mediation Service. The aim of the Master's thesis is to ascertain how the supervision of conditionally convicted persons is applied and fulfilled. The theoretical part of the thesis analyses the system of the various forms of punishment. The key part of the thesis focuses on Suspended Sentences with surveillance and the application in practice of this form of punishment. The thesis also includes a chapter about the Probation and Mediation Service. The practical part describes the process of examination and the evaluations of the results. The last part of the thesis contains an evaluation of the gained findings and a proposal how to streamline the above mentioned form of sentence in order to make it more effective. The research methods chosen are a research questionnaire survey and the analysis of records. The research sample was compiled out of the employees of the Probation and Mediation Service in Prague and the files on record of the Probation and Mediation Service in Prague. Trend of declining crime rates in recent years, on the other hand rising recidivism raises many questions for the existing criminal justice system. High return to prison gives the impression that the purpose of a sentence of custodial sentence lose at the beginning of the third millennium its meaning. The challenge not only for the state apparatus, but the whole society is more than ever becoming reintegration of offenders, which is a predictor of risk of recidivism. The aim of this thesis is therefore description and evaluation aspects of the process of social reintegration, taking into account current possibilities to prevent reoffending. Empirical part extends the intention of re-socialization efforts charting selection of innovative programs in social work with offenders. Theoretical material consists of key concepts weighing the Criminology and Penology, which is completed at the end of work formulating recommendations for social work with offenders as a possible guide changes in the life of each individual offender.

The main objective was to create a work that would form a coherent and comprehensive view on this issue. The thesis contains a theoretical and practical part. The practical part includes qualitative research. The research consists of five case studies. These case studies show the sexual abuse of children in practice. The goal of the practical part is the description of cases of sexual abuse, evaluation, comparison of results and identification of common features that appear in the case studies and also in the theoretical part of my work. The analyses of case studies show that the perpetrator was always the family. The consequences of sexual abuse that emerged from the case studies, agree with your description of the theoretical part. In most cases, it was a long- term consequence. The last chapter of the thesis is called prevention. This chapter is the most important of the whole work. It is important to focus not only on the treatment of sexually abused children, but also the environment in which the social and legal protection of children is provided. The Diploma Thesis deals with the insurance frauds connected to crisis periods, which are due to the longstanding recession and increasingly frequent natural disasters a very hot and current topic. First of all, the insurance fraud is generally defined, including its offenders, possible causes, consequences or regulations, which completely describe given problematics. Then, attention is paid to the contest with insurance frauds, where suggestions for improving the prevention and detection of this crime can be found. The Diploma Thesis also analyzes the current phase and trends in the recent years, and last, but not least, it deals with the relationship between the insurance frauds and specific periods of the crisis.

The insurance fraud is frequent type of criminality at the present time. The perpetrators of this crime cause heavy economic damages to insurance companies. Objective of the thesis called "The insurance fraud in the Czech Republic" is to evaluate the current state of the problem of insurance fraud in the Czech Republic from the perspective of insurance companies, law enforcement authorities and new legislation. As well to describe the way of detection and investigation, characterize the offender, analyze the most frequent cases, typical methods of committing insurance fraud and to evaluate the statistics and trends from previous years.
