Thus, we seek to trace a brief history, conceptualization and analysis of Archival Identification indicated in the national and international literature, based on the research of Brazil and Spain. Also points up the relationship between the Archival Identification and the principles, functions and methods of Archival Science. Turning specifically to the case of personal papers, which have a remarkable difference in their composition. Thus, it is proposed to reflect the issues surrounding personal papers. It is thus a theoretical research that has as object the personal papers, following the Total Archives approach, which comprises the integration of the files and documentary treatment. It is thus possible to see how the theory is important in the development of practice, considering that design differences can result in different specific effects. In this sense, it is expected that the critical analysis grounded in theoretical basis of different understandings of Archival Identification and establishment of the Personal Papers can potentially contribute to the development of Archival science while science, including by making possible greater concreteness to practical application of archival doings. / A presente dissertação trata a respeito da Identificação Documental em arquivos pessoais, através da análise das especificidades existentes nesse tipo de arquivo, especialmente no que se refere à produção documental e recuperação do princípio de proveniência. Assim, buscou-se traçar um breve histórico, conceituação e análise da Identificação Documental na literatura nacional e internacional, tomando como base as pesquisas de Brasil e Espanha. Ressalta-se também a relação existente entre a Identificação Documental e os princípios, funções e métodos da Arquivologia. Voltando-se especificamente para o caso dos arquivos pessoais, que apresentam um notável diferencial em sua composição. Dessa forma, propõe-se refletir sobre questões que envolvem os arquivos pessoais. Trata-se, de uma pesquisa teórica que tem como objeto os arquivos pessoais, seguindo a abordagem do Total Archives, a qual compreende a integração entre os arquivos e tratamento documental. Torna-se, assim, possível perceber o quanto a teoria é importante no desenvolvimento da prática, considerando que diferenças de concepção podem ocasionar efeitos concretos divergentes. Nesse sentido, espera-se que a análise crítica, embasada em fundamentação teórica dos diferentes entendimentos de Identificação Documental e da constituição dos arquivos pessoais, possa vir a contribuir, para a evolução da Arquivologia enquanto ciência, inclusive por tornar possível maior concretude à aplicação prática dos fazeres arquivísticos. / CNPq: 130114/2017-0

Der Artikel fasst kurz zusammen, wie die Nachlässe von Wissenschaftlern in den tschechischen Archiven behandelt werden. Wir versuchen, die Fragen der Bewertung zu skizzieren. Dabei nutzen wir vor allem die Erfahrungen aus der Übernahme und Bearbeitung von Nachlässen im Institut für die Geschichte und Archiv der Karlsuniversität, wo mehr als 100 Nachlässe aufbewahrt ist. / The article summarizes briefly, how the personal papers of scholars and scientists are treated in Czech archives, expecially in the question of selection of documents. The authors tried to use their experiences from the practice in the Institute of History and Archives of Charles, whose archivists take care about personal papers of more than 100 scholars and scientists.

個人文件是一種自然累積的文件，係由個人為記錄某些活動及事項所產生，雖屬私人性質，但經常由於產生者的過去經歷、工作職務、社會地位或特殊貢獻等因素，可透過文件內容與形式，忠實的反映出過去的社會情勢，並可從中看出相關重要人物之對於特定事件的思維，具有重要研究參考價值，故典藏機構亦將之納入館藏徵集的範圍之中。 本研究採用「多重個案法」與「深度訪談法」進行研究，首先以隸屬公部門之典藏機構作為研究範圍，包括：國史館、中央研究院近代史研究所檔案館、國家台灣文學館、國家圖書館與國立台灣大學圖書館，探討各機構個人文件典藏之範疇與主題；其次對各機構之管理人員與相關使用者進行訪談，以獲得有關個人文件管理與使用之相關經驗與看法。 根據研究發現，提出結論如下：一、各典藏機構所收藏之個人文件資料範疇有重疊現象；二、多數典藏機構未設置個人文件資料專責管理部門；三、各典藏機構個人文件徵集方式均以捐贈為主；四、各典藏機構個人文件之整編架構與陳列方式均「以人為主」，採「人物全宗」與「集中管理」為原則；五、各典藏機構個人文件檢索工具仍以紙本目錄較為普遍；六、各典藏機構針對個人文件之推廣主要有3種模式：舉辦展覽活動、網站建置與印製刊物發行；七、「電腦資訊技術」與「檔案管理知識」為管理人員認為最需加強之專業能力；八、個人文件納入法制化管理有其困難性，著作權與隱私權為最需重視之問題。 最後針對前述研究結果提出四項建議：一、促請各典藏機構制定館藏發展政策；二、建置理想之個人文件典藏與管理模式，包括：（一）編製管理工作手冊，訂定標準規範，（二）加強與捐贈者間之聯繫，訂定明確捐贈契約，（三）加速建置線上查詢系統，提高檢索效率，（四）配合付費機制開放檔案應用，並與國外典藏機構建立平等互惠之使用原則，（五）增加進修機會，提升管理人員專業素養；三、釐清檔案開放與應用之相關法律規定與權益；四、建立全國性個人文件目錄檢索機制。

Das Archiv des Technischen Museums Wien verwahrt den umfangreichen Nachlass von Viktor Kaplan (1876-1934). Er gehört zu den bedeutendsten österreichischen Ingenieuren des 20. Jahrhunderts und ist der Erfinder der nach ihm benannten Turbine. Die vor rund 100 Jahren entwickelte Kaplan- Turbine ist bis heute weltweit in Verwendung. Sie hat den Einsatz von Wasserkraft als erneuerbare Energie wesentlich erweitert. Der Nachlass von Viktor Kaplan wurde 2014 in das österreichische Dokumentenregister der UNESCO aufgenommen und zählt damit zu jenen Beständen, die von herausragender Bedeutung für das kulturelle Gedächtnis Österreichs sind. Rund 1.400 technische Zeichnungen aus dem Nachlass des Technikers werden aktuell im Zuge eines mehrjährigen Projekts konservatorisch versorgt und wissenschaftlich bearbeitet. Im Rahmen des Vortrages wird das aufwändige Konservierungsprojekt sowie die wissenschaftliche Erschließung des Bestandes präsentiert. He is one of the most important Austrian engineers of the 20th century and the inventor of the turbine named after him. The Kaplan turbine, developed around 100 years ago, is still in use worldwide today. It has significantly expanded the use of hydropower as a renewable energy source. Viktor Kaplan's estate was included in UNESCO's „Memory of Austria“ in 2014, making it one of those holdings that are of outstanding importance to Austria's cultural memory. Around 1,400 technical drawings from the estate of the technician are currently being conserved and scientifically processed in the course of a project lasting several years. The lecture will present the complex conservation project and the scientific indexing of the collection. Das Archiv des Instituts für Zeitgeschichte und das Archiv der Technischen Universität München richteten zusammen mit dem Verband deutscher Archivarinnen und -archivare vom 05. bis 08. April 2022 die 22. Frühjahrstagung der Fachgruppe 8 des VdA aus. Die hybrid angebotene Tagung fand zum mittlerweile dritten Mal auch als Dreiländertagung unter Beteiligung der österreichischen und tschechischen Wissenschafts- und Universitätsarchivar*innen statt. Die Tagung, die sich dem Thema 'Bewertung - eine Kernaufgabe im Archiv' widmete, startete am Dienstag, dem 5. April 2022, zunächst vollständig virtuell mit acht gut besuchten Online-Diskussionsforen. Die Teilnehmer*innen konnten sich dabei zu einer Bandbreite von Themen informieren und austauschen, die von der Bewertung von Nachlässen und den Umgang mit Forschungsdaten über Erfahrungen mit Lobbyarbeit bis zu Urheberrechts- und Datenschutzfragen reichten. Am Mittwoch, dem 6. April 2022, fanden sich dann rund 45 Archivarinnen und Archivare für die Tagung vor Ort in München ein, während sich weitere 70 Interessierte online zuschalteten. Das übergreifende Thema 'Bewertung' wurde über die nächsten drei Tage aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln betrachtet. In Werkstattberichten und Vorträgen wurde über die Herausforderungen bei der Bewertung digitaler Dateisammlungen, von Karten und Plänen sowie Fotos und AV-Medien berichtet. In verschiedenen Sektionen wurden Dokumentationsprofile und die Grundsatzfrage nach 'richtiger' oder 'falscher' Bewertung diskutiert. Gesprächsrunden und Podiumsdiskussionen thematisierten die Notwendigkeit besserer Kommunikation zwischen Historiker*innen und Archivar*innen beim Thema Bewertung und die Rolle der Archive innerhalb der diversen im Entstehen begriffenen nationalen Forschungsdateninfrastrukturen. / From April 5th through April 8th, 2022, the Archives of the Leibniz Institute for Contemporary History and the Archives of the Technical University of Munich hosted the 22nd Spring Meeting of Division 8 of the VdA. The overarching theme of the hybrid conference, which also served as the third joint meeting of the university and research institution archives of the German, Austrian and Czech professional archives associations, was 'Appraisal - A Core Purpose for Archives'. The conference started on Tuesday, April 5th, with eight online forums, ranging thematically from the appraisal of personal papers, the handling of research data to questions of lobbying, copy right and privacy. On Wednesday, April 6th, approximately 45 archivists assembled in Munich, while 70 more joined the conference via live stream. Over the next three days, the issue of appraisal was considered from various perspectives. Several talks presented approaches to solving the problems of appraising unstructured collections of digital data files, maps and blue prints as well as photographs and audiovisual material. In other sections, presenters and participants discussed documentation profiles as well as the question whether archivists can go 'right' or 'wrong' in their appraisal. Round tables and panels discussed the need for more communication between historians and archivists in regard to appraisal and the role of archives in the various evolving national research data infrastructures.
