Inom hospitalitybranschen är det mötet mellan gäst och personal som är i fokus. Det blir allt viktigare för organisationen att tillfredsställa gästen på ett emotionellt plan, utöver den grundläggande servicen. Forskning visar på att kulturen i organisationen påverkar personalens förhållningssätt till gästen, och att ett gott värdskap kan bidra till gästnöjdhet och lojalitet. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka hur organisationskulturen påverkar värdskapet mot gästen inom hospitalitybranschen. Uppsatsen var en litteraturstudie som grundades på fem vetenskapliga artiklar vilka granskades, bearbetades och sammanfattades utifrån uppsatsens syfte. Resultatet av studien visade på att det inte är den fysiska produkten som är av störst värde för gästen, utan miljön och värdskapet runt omkring. Slutsatsen blev att organisationskulturen påverkar värdskapet mot gästen genom att personalens förhållningssätt till gästen formas av de värderingar och normer som finns inom kulturen. Det framkom även att synen på vad ett gott värdskap innefattar skiljer sig mellan gäst och organisation. För att förhindra detta måste personalen tilldelas rätt verktyg från ledningen, som exempelvis egenmakt. / B-uppsatser

"An Educated Man" shows the inferiority of one man in the presence of others he considers more important. A deluded school counselor brings a jealous boy and his younger brother together in "Piggie and Pete," while another young man in "The Good Boy" tries to break away from his mother. Finally, a woman learns about herself and the world around her when she wins a large sum of money in "What About Ten-Fold?"
