This dissertation thesis follows from a wide stream of considerations of the relationship between the mass media, public and politics; in particular detail, it deals with a specific concept which attempts to grasp, model and empirically examine this relationship. The main goals of the thesis can be in short divided into two interrelated areas. The first aim is to introduce the concept of agenda setting to the Czech academic environment, with its theoretical, terminological and research frame for an analysis of relationships between the mass media content, dynamics of public opinion, and the political sphere. The second aim is to analyze how agenda setting processes are theoretically grounded and studied in the Czech social studies. The theoretical part of the thesis is structured according to two perspectives: diachronic and synchronic. In the diachronic perspective, I try to grasp the social context and historical origins of agenda-setting as a concept, its development, main trends, and developmental lines. This way, I move forward to the synchronic perspective and describe academic grounding of agenda-setting; I give a detailed analysis of the present level of the agenda-setting research and the main research areas through available classifications. The diploma thesis is focused on the role of appearance in electoral decision making in the presence of political information and voters' characteristics. In the theoretical part experimental researches and real elections researches, which are focused on the appearance of political candidates, are presented. The results highlight the presence of stereotyped thinking in electoral decision making, the influence of the appearance of attractive candidates and the perceived competencies, that have a predominantly positive effect on electoral success, the negative evaluation of candidates with higher weight, and the inconsistent evaluation of ethnicity and gender of political candidates. Current research has shown that a political program, shared values and personalities at the head of political parties have been selected in the elections of political parties, and in the fictitious elections the candidate with the same political attitude has the greatest chance of success. However, the appearance of political candidates affects the success of candidates even in the presence of political attitudes and the characteristics of the respondents. This thesis, called The Relationship between Redemption and Emancipation in the Political Theology of J. B. Metz, concerns the political theology of J. B. Metz. The first part summarizes the influences, which shaped his theological thinking and it presents his concept of political theology. The next part asks a question about the relationship between the ideas of redemption and emancipation in Metz's theology. This is based on the interpretation of a chapter from his book, Glaube in Geschichte und Gesellschaft, which concerns the topic. But before the interpretation of Metz's text, the problems of relationship between the two terms and of their origin are described. The extent of the field of meaning of the term "emancipation" is illustrated by the examples of the thinking of Immanuel Kant, Karl Marx and Jürgen Habermas. A large part is dedicated to the figures of the Frankfurt school, Theodor Adorno and Walter Benjamin, and their specific approach to the idea of emancipation and the Enlightenment tradition. The final thesis rejects the opinion, that the ideas of emancipation and redemption in Metz's theology coincide too much and it puts stress on the importance of the term "history of suffering" for solving this problem of Metz's theology. The diploma thesis "Framing of euroscepticism in the Czech daily press" deals with political communication about the European Union realized in the czech daily press (namely MF DNES, Právo and Hospodářské noviny) during three events which were essential fot the Czech republic. It was referendum (2003), signing of Lisbon Treaty (2009) and signing of ESM (2013). It focuses on quality and europeanisation of public debate and its changes within this events. It also investigates how eurosceptic actors and and oponions are represented. It is trying to examine what are their possibilities of participating in public debate and identify attitudes of individual tituls. Research methods are quantitative analysis plus frame analysis. It also treats (in theoretical part) concepts like political communication (generally and on the european level), european public sphere and also euroscepticism itself.

In the theoretical part of the thesis (chapter No. 1) the author defines examined period to be between years 1948-1960, defines political persecution as a legal term and desribes the ideological basis of communist law. The aim of the thesis is to map and describe changes that have taken place in the field of political debates on the Czech Television (in the period from 1989 to the present). The work describes changes regarding the form and the content of programs and its debates. There also appears a critical assessment of that development (and of some prevailing trend) of the political issue programs (on Czech TV) in the thesis. Hypothesis relates to the assumpiton that a given period occured significant changes in the form and content of the broadcasted. Description of those changes is the main aim. The author proceeds in five steps. First, the introduction sets the theme in context, mentions a historical overview of political discussion programs broadcasted on Czech Television (from 1989 to the present) and consequently characterizes them. The aim of the Master thesis "The Transformation of Czech political satire in TV broadcasting after year 1989" is to capture and describe changes of political satire in television shows over last 25 years on sample of six selected shows: Česká soda, Gumáci, S politiky netančím, Politické harašení, Stalo se and 168 hodin. Theoretical part of this work is trying to explain idea of satire itself and to introduce of the topic into more general historical context. Practical part is then, using semiotic analysis, aiming at what expression/aesthetic and thematically variables create satiric constructions in the level of visual picture, press and graphics, language level and music component. Last chapter is dedicated to offer political satire in TV broadcasting after 2010. This work is then connecting results of the analysis and findings from the theoretical part in the conclusion.

More stress is put on political brand significance as the evolution of political parties (or institutions) continues. Political parties no longer use their ideology as a main tool to attract potential voters. Voters have adapted at least in part the consumer-like behavior, when choosing political brand. The importance of political brands grows along with the strengthening effort of political parties to gain as many median voters as possible. Diploma thesis deals with the valuation of political brands in the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, United Kingdom and United States. One of the key goals is to propose a sophisticated valuation model based on evaluation of future cash flows discounted to present day.

Předmětem práce je přechod k demokracii a konsolidace demokracie v Chile. Výchozím bodem je politický systém Chile před rokem 1973. Nejprve jsou hledány příčiny politické a ústavní krize v roce 1973, zejména ty, které jsou zakotveny v ústavě z roku 1925. Jádrem práce je posouzení změn v konfiguraci politického systému Chile po roce 1989.U konkrétních parametrů systému (forma vlády, volební systém, stranický systém atp.) je zjišťováno, zda v nich nový politický systém navazuje na politický systém před rokem 1973, či na autoritářský režim, tedy zda je v novém politickém systému patrné poučení z minulého vývoje.
