The use of political marketing represents a more and more important part of election campaigns. This thesis is concerned with analysis of the campaigns of two largest Czech political parties - Civic Democratic Party and Czech Social Democratic Party - in the parliamentary elections 2006. The analysis is based on the comprehensive political marketing model that has been developed by Jennifer Lees-Marshment. In this model three kinds of political parties are distinguished: Product-Oriented Party, Sales-Oriented Party and Market-Oriented Party. Politický marketing v EU: srovnání hnutí ANO a ALDE / Political marketing in the EU: comparing ANO and ALDE

Kordač, Adam January 2017 (has links)
Adam Kordač This master thesis analyses two levels of political communication and political marketing in the context of the European Union. The thesis gradually analyses main principles of political marketing, then analyses political movement ANO 2011 and then analyses its counterpart which is Alliance of liberals and democrats for Europe. The thesis is created under the pretext of two major theoretical political marketing and communication models. Those are the so-called "Plasser" model and Jennifer Lees-Marshment model. They analyse the situation from two viewpoints: Plasser analyses the historical development of political communication while Lees-Marshment looks to the differing aspects of contemporary parties. It is based on the principles of comparative analysis. It askes a question if the "europarties" are on the same level of development like the national counterparts while the hypothesis is that it is lagging behind.

Green Party of England and Wales jako opoziční strana v britském politickém systému, 1999-2011 / Green Party of England and Wales as an opposition party in British politics, 1999-2011

Brodníček, Jan January 2013 (has links)
Diploma thesis "The Green Party of England and Wales as an Opposition Party in British Politics, 1999-2011" deals with acting of the party in the framework of the British political system in the given period. Using Robert Dahl's theory of political opposition and a methodological approach of disciplined interpretive study, the thesis seeks to analyse goals of the party as well as strategies used for gaining success. Before that, history of the party and the British political landscape are briefly characterised. The analytical part is divided into several subchapters focused on goals of the party regarding political and socioeconomic structures as well as its electoral and non-electoral strategies. The emphasis is put on means which the GPEW chooses in order to break through onto the national level of governance. "Targeting" of constituencies is vital in this respect. We also claim that as long as new competencies are transferred to the local and european level of governance, there is a chance for the GPEW to strenghten its political position. However, it remains unclear whether the party can become more attractive to voters as further penetration of postmaterialist values in the British society remains unsure. A relative success of the GPEW in recent years also indicates certain flexibility of the...

Further it describes preparation and subsequent realization of the political campaign aimed to multiply the effects of the trial towards the Prison Guard Corps. It also seeks to find out whether the primary objective of the trial actually was to strengthen discipline within the Corps, or there was also another aim pursued by the ruling dictatorship, and how , and if at all, there was any coverage of the case towards the general public. Some attention is also paid to the victims of the trial and their further fates. The thesis primarily exploits original files of the National Archive and the Archive of the Security Bodies. Volby do PS Parlamentu ČR 2002,2006,2010: analýza volebních materiálů / Parliamentary election campaign in 2002,2006 and 2010: analysis of election materials

Pistulková, Petra January 2010 (has links)
Diploma thesis focuses on parliamentary election campaign of Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD) in 2002, 2006 and 2010. The hypothesis is that ČSSD maintains relatively stable core of voters, manages to call on them through their political campaign and to keep their support. Yet ČSSD is unable to catch new voters, especially young people and university educated voters. The goal is to prove or disprove this hypothesis and to give a reason why it is so. This paper outlines the influence of political marketing and presents a critical analysis of political marketing. It examines trends in Czech parliamentary election campaigns of 2002, 2006 and 2010 and the shifts in voters preferences. The paper analyses election materials in order to determine the profile of ČSSD voters and to explain why ČSSD has this profile of voters.
