This thesis deals with socio-economic aspects of Peronism in Argentina. It focuses on the changes and development of Peronism since the first government of Juan Doming Perón till now. The main purpose of this thesis is to map, describe and compare individual periods of Peronism and to define why is Peronism in Argentina still so popular among multitudes. The thesis is divided into eight parts. First chapter is seeking for the right definition of Peronism from different points of view. The next four chapters refer to the three governments of Perón. Sixth and seventh chapter deals with the first and second presidency of Carlos Menem and economic and political situation of the Argentine state. Eight chapter is dedicated to the last peronist governemt of the presidential couple of Kirchner.

The main goal of this thesis is to evaluate and analyze the development of publicfinance in the V4 countries and their consolidation during the period 2002 - 2010. In that period of time there have been significant changes that directly affected the fiscal policies of all members of the V4. The examples of such changes is the fiscal decentralization, the admittance of this countries into the European Union and in the case of Slovakia also the fulfillment of the convergence criteria before joining the Eurozone in 2009. The work also analyses the transformation process in the V4 countries, because it very influenced the other fiscal development. The thesis seeks to examine and compare the economic policies of the governments of V4, which aim to restructure of public funds. The thesis also tries to link the knowledge obtained with the political cycle.

The diploma thesis analyzes, whether became in the case of the development of real GDP, inflation and unemployment in the Czech Republic and the USA to systematic influence these macroeconomic indicators of the ruling parties and their political orientation. The work is focused on the period from the beginning of the 1990's of 20th century to the present, with an emphasis on the pre-crisis and crisis periods of the current economic crisis. Tested are two fundamental theoretical concepts. The first one is a model of opportunistic theories of the business cycle, then the second one, the model of the ideological theory of the economic cycle. The work also analyzes whether there was in these two states deliberate influencing of government expenditure in electoral periods in order to increase the chances of government politicians for re-election. The work also explores the similarities and differences of the pre-crisis and crisis periods of the current economic crisis to the great depression of the 1930's of 20th century.

The thesis analyses election campaigns of successful parties by Lees-Marshment model. According to five basic aspects - election research, political product, implementation of product, adjustment of product and communication - the work aims to prove or disprove the hypothesis, that more market oriented political party tends to gain more political profit. Furthermore, the thesis describes financing of political parties and several negative campaigns connected to chosen parliamentary election. Thanks to questionnaire market research the work aims to analyse the factors of influence on decision-making of the first-time voters.

Interrelation between sports and politics in the specific case of the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992 offers a wide range of opportunities to strengthen nationalist tendencies of the Catalan society. This thesis examines how the organization of this event affected the development of Catalan nationalistic discourse of political parties. These changes are analysed on two levels. The first level is the evolution over time - the thesis compares the periods before and after the Olympics and looks at trends across each period. The second level is the development in the level of debate - the thesis looks at the category of political parties, at the category of Catalan politics and at the category of the Spanish nationwide politics, while it analyses the moves of the topics and trends across the levels. Thus, the thesis examines trends of the political discourse in the electoral programs, in speeches at annual meetings at the level of the Catalan parliament and in speeches at annual meetings at the level of national Spanish Parliament. The basic parameters of the research work are themes of language policy, cultural policy, the issue of state structure juristic reform, linguistic forms of the discourses and relation to the Olympic Games. Diploma thesis "Comparation of the Italian political system between 1945 - 1968 and the Czechoslovak political system between 1918 - 1938" compares both these two political systems, deals with their common characteristics and differences and tries to explain the origins of similar settlement in both countries in the followed periods. For these purposes it uses also attempts of the most common Italian political scientists to characterize Italian political system, where there stand above all two thesis on "centripetal polarism" (Giovanni Sartori) and "imperfect bipartism" (Giorgio Galli). An interesting supplemental Tudory is also Farnetti's thesis as some kind of the "third way". Subsequently, those thesis are applied on the case of the ČSR too and it is judged its validity as one of the possible explaining concepts.

The study deals with roots of (a) rise of political tensions and (b) roots of rise of political Islam (from Muslim Brotherhood and Turkish AKP up to militant Islamic organizations) in the Middle East in the second half of the 20th century. So it deals with conflict between corrupt and highly unpopular political and economical elite and its challengers recruiting from Islamic movements. The basic roots of this conflict and rise of political Islam are seen in highly uneven modernization process: (1) very rapid social and demographic change (urbanization, media expansion, demographic transition, and educational system expansion), (2) slow going and unstable economic development and (3) unchanging political subsystem. This uneven and deformed Middle Eastern modernization pattern is in detail documented by empirical macro-indicators. It is systematically compared with the modernization process in other post-colonial world macro-regions as well as with early European modernization which was accompanied by sharp social conflict, however dominated by rival secular ideologies. Election campaigns in the Czech Republic are undergoing a major professionalization process since 2006. The most noticeable proof of this trend is the Czech Social Democratic Party (CSSD), which is effectively cooperating with foreign agencies. In 2006 CSSD followed the example of British Labour Party and applied market-oriented party concept to its behaviour. The strategy of a market- oriented party is to identify public priorities, analyze them and to create an election program; since voter's satisfaction is crucial for a market-oriented party, it uses a wide variety of marketing services and techniques. I am analyzing the election campaigns of Czech Social Democratic Party in 2006 and 2010 using the Market-Oriented Party Model published by Jennifer Lees-Marshment in 2006. My goal is to find out whether CSSD followed the Market-Oriented Party Model in 2010 and whether it is going to keep applying the concept in the future.
