How co-operation and networks can contribute to increased revenues

Davidsson, Erik, Arnefjord, Robin, Persson, Alexander January 2014 (has links)
Bachelor Thesis Business Administration III, School of Economics at Linnaeus University of Växjö. Management Accounting, 2FE13E, Spring 2014. Authors: Robin Arnefjord, Erik Davidsson & Alexander Persson Examinator/Advisor: Petter Boye Second Examiner: Jan Alpenberg Title: Capellagården – How co-operation and networks can contribute to increased revenues   Background: Capellagården is a stand-alone boarding school located in the southern part of Öland and like many other schools they struggle with scarce resources. This has led to that Capellagården have sought alternative ways to make the usage of available resources more effective as well as through new co-operations and networks find new revenue. Purpose: The purpose is to describe how co-operation and networks can help with the development of a school like Capellagården and increase revenues. This is done in three steps where we start with a description of the present-day situation then study similar schools and finally identify potential development opportunities. Method: We have used an abductive approach and a qualitative research strategy in this study. The empirical material has primarily been collected through interviews with relevant parties of three Craft schools. Conclusion: We can conclude that Capellagården can learn from the way other schools work with co-operation and networks to increase revenues. For example through the usage of benchmarking. Co-operations will also lead to synergy effects in the shape of sharing competence and resources. An increase in the municipal co-operation and a development of the students network would have strengthened the school.

Title of thesis: Evaluation of psychologically and physically load in competitors of Winter Survival; including incorporation of knowhow to hold the competition. Aim of thesis: 1. Creation of a manual to order competition of Winter Survival type in civil and army. 2. Valorize and confront physically load in Winter Survival 2007, 2008, 2011. 3. Valorize and confront psychologically load in Winter Survival 2007, 2008, 2011. Methods: 1. For the creation of the manual was used qualitative research with exploitation of interview with abstract questions. 2. To valorizing and fixing of physically load was used quantitative study. 3. To valorizing and fixing of psychologically load was used quantitative study. Results: 1. We created the "manual" to ordering and organising of cometition for trainee officials of competitions like Winter Survival. 2. The results prove, that competitors of WS moved around middle zone of physical load. WS 2008 was, in light of physical load, much easier, than WS 2007 and 2011. Effect of the extension in 2. part of competition is the extension of physical work in middle zone of physical load to the prejudice moderate zone. 3. Mental condition is impressed with physical load in "state" and "activity" parameter, less connections are between physical load and "mood" parameter; the...

The experiment was developed on July, 2004 in Jesuitas city, Paraná. The dryer was compound of: a drying chamber with a capacity to 4,5 m3 of grains, chamber plenum with volum of 2,9 m3, fan with leakage of 473,2 m3 mim-1, two motors with potency of 2 cv (one for the drive of the fan and another one for the drive of the revolvment system) and mechanical system with shovels, that kept the product in horizontal rotatory revolvment. The grain´s contents of damp were gotten by the standard method of greenhouse 105±1ºC for 24 hours. The sample´s collection was carried out with a collector segmented on four different points of the drying chamber at each two hours. The temperature and the air´s damp were gotten through digital thermhigrometer, installed in a meteorological shelter. The drying air´s temperature was 75ºC. The ventilation and the drying kept it continuous during the test, having as treatment the time´s interval and revolvment of one hour, two hours, three hours and continuous revolvment. It was observed the revolvment with intervals of three hours promoted the smaller energy electric (17,11 kWh) and firewood consume (208,25 kg). The average of the energetic efficiency between the treatments was 12,30 MJ kg--1. for the model of dryers used it is recommended the utilisation of the revolvment system with intervals of three hours and continuous dryer, considering that had not been difference in the final quality of the product in sensorial analysis / O presente trabalho objetivou avaliar a eficiência energética na secagem de café (Coffea arabica, L.), com diferentes combinações de tempo de revolvimento, em secador de camada fixa. / This study examines the importance of the pre-trial stage, between the time when the conflict of interest arises in the society and one in which the civil action is triggered. A comparative law institutes study was conducted, to instill the notion of high utility of the regulation of pre-procedural conduct of the parties and lawyers - as the pre-action protocols and disclousure of English law and American law similar to this, the discovery to evidence that the adequate demand preparation is that an overrun of filters to bringing legitimate actions. There are previous procedures, preparatory to the lawsuit in the current law, which pass almost unnoticed from the traditional doctrine. The determination of the existence of legitimate filters to the filing induces the conclusion that indeed there is a legal burden of preparing the application in the pre-procedural stage which affects access to justice access to justice understood from the perspective of effective legal protection, which is the result of a procedure fraught with guarantees beyond this omission cause adverse consequences for the party, ranging from delays in the adjudication to the impracticability of a decision. The magistrate must analyse the overcoming these filters or not by the party that is offering the demand, checking whether it is admissible or not, and if the process can be formed and grow properly: this is the judging of the admissibility which examines the partys pre-procedural conduct and if legal burden of preparing the application in the pre-procedural stage was accomplished.

Poéticas do ator no audiovisual: o ator co-criador na produção brasileira contemporânea / Actors poetics in audiovisual production: the actor as a co-creator in contemporary brazilian production

Ribeiro, Walmeri Kellen 25 October 2010 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2016-04-26T18:10:14Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 Walmeri Kellen Ribeiro.pdf: 2539053 bytes, checksum: ae6e1e31aa235bb7beff2c548f1be720 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2010-10-25 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / Considering the hypothesis that Brazilian audiovisual production presents, as a fundamental element of it"s creative process, the actor as a co-creator of the final audiovisual work, this thesis investigates the creation procedures which are the basis of this actor"s work, such as the unfoldings of this co-creation relation. Using the analysis of creation processes of the films Bicho de Sete Cabeças (Brainstorm), Cidade de Deus (City of god), Lavoura Arcaica (To the Left of the Father), Contra Todos (Up against them all), Céu de Suely (Love for Sale), Crime Delicado (Delicate Crime) and of the miniseries Pedra do Reino and Capitu, and having the Critica de Processo (Process critics), proposed by Cecília Almeida Salles (2006) as a basis, this study sees the creation laboratory as a locus of investigation, experimentation and emergence in audiovisual work, in which the improvisation practice is configured as a procedure to be used in the search of creative and aesthetic possibilities. With this assumption, by proposing a dialog between audiovisual studies (Machado, Burch and Aumont), studies of the actor (Artaud, Grotówski, Stanislávski, Barba and Burnier) and of the contemporary scenic production (Cohen, Zumthor, Fischer-Lichte, Lehmann), we"ll point out some unfoldings and displacements in tradicional cinematographic praxis. As a result of these procedures, a transformation finds its course, in the modes of audiovisual production, approaching those with modes of contemporary scene creation. Aiming the comprehension of the audiovisual object"s meaning regimes own comunication processes, the theoretical reference of this research is established upon theory connections between many knowledge fields, audiovisual theories, actor and scenic creation studies, as mentioned above, the process of creating in a net (Salles), and the theories about corpomídia (or mediabody , by Greiner, Katz), co-creation and complexity (Morin), emergence (Johnson), fluidity and mobility (Bauman) / Percorrendo a hipótese de que a produção audiovisual brasileira contemporânea, apresenta como elemento fundamental de seu processo criativo o ator como co-criador da obra, esta tese investiga os procedimentos de criação que alicerçam o trabalho deste ator, bem como os desdobramentos desta relação de co-criação.

Developing Critically Conscious Pre-Service Teachers: A Social Justice Approach to Educate Culturally Linguistically Diverse Students

January 2019 (has links)
abstract: One of the major issues confronting education in Arizona and across the United States has been the consistent low performance of culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) students in comparison to their peers as evidenced by the disparity of the achievement gap at every level in the educational pipeline. A contributing factor has been the lack of teacher preparation focused on teaching CLD students. Preparation focused on a culturally responsive curriculum about dispositions and pedagogical knowledge and skills as well as field experience placement with CLD students have been previously identified areas to consider when training preservice teachers (PSTs). Therefore, this study examined how a Culturally Responsive and Linguistic Teaching (CRLT) Framework would raise preservice teacher’s critical consciousness about teaching CLD students. The CRLT Framework focused on two specific areas; (a) a culturally responsive curriculum and (b) a team-based service-learning experience. The CRP curriculum included lessons designed to increase PSTs understanding about how their sociolinguist views influenced their pedagogical knowledge about teaching CLD students. In addition, the team-based service-learning approach, as a community of practice, provided experiences for PSTs to apply theory to practice. A mixed method analysis was employed to collect and analyze the quantitative data (surveys) and qualitative data (interviews and photovoice). Results from this study suggested increases in PSTs’ knowledge, self-efficacy, and perceptions of usefulness of CRP in their future practices. The team-based, service-learning component, which was based on a community of practice framework, enhanced the learning experience by allowing students to move from theory to practice and served as an important contributing factor to the overall results. Given the findings of this research study, it appeared that an introductory course focused on a culturally responsive and linguistic teaching influenced PSTs’ dispositions, knowledge, and skills. Thus, providing an introductory course, earlier rather than later, has the potential to change the trajectory of preparing PSTs so they were more prepared to teach CLD students as they continued through their program of study. Results showed effective work with CLD students was about so much more than ‘just good teaching.’ / Dissertation/Thesis / Doctoral Dissertation Educational Leadership and Policy Studies 2019
