The Study on Transformation Strategy in Production Base in Taiwan for the Printed Circuit Board Industry ¡V A Corporation as Case Study

Tu, Kung-Tzu 10 August 2010 (has links)
ABSTRACT In recent years China's rapid rise and low-cost advantages, has brought the greatest impact on the printed circuit board industry, low-cost competition for the majority of Taiwanese companies are not strengths, combined with the financial crisis began in 2008, followed by 2009, the world consumer electronics market tightening, are tested in Taiwan for the production of printed circuit board industry base in the viability of manufacturers. In this study, through the study of Taiwan as a production base in case the printed circuit board companies, in the face of financial crisis in 2008, and follow-up to internal and external changes in the industry and the growth and decline of national competitiveness, the restructuring strategy is adopted to overcome the external environmental challenges of rapid change, which concludes with Taiwan as a production base of the printed circuit board industry, in the face of financial turmoil and economic environment changes and the overall production of cross-strait ECFA signed, to the advantage of strengths and talents of Taiwan culture resources, so printed circuit board manufacturing industry can continue to Taiwan as a production base, more competitive challenges towards internationalization. In this study, the research method is qualitative research in the case study method, the scope of the production base of a Taiwanese printed circuit board industry, the use of literature survey and data compilation, and the case company interviews, and data collation, the first stage first motive of enterprise transformation, analysis and use of five forces analysis and diamond model to understand the background and conditions of business transformation, the second stage, the case company interviews, SWOT analysis summarized the case company and the feasibility assessment and develop transformation strategies, and understanding of the transformation strategy of the key success factors. The study concludes on the hope that the production base in Taiwan for the printed circuit board industry in the face of changing external environment when assessing the feasibility of transformation strategy and development, and further development of Taiwan companies for the future a reference transformation strategy. Design and Implementation of Miniaturized Bandpass Filters Using Integrated Passive Device and Multilayer Printed Circuit Board Process Technologies

Shih, Chih-Syuan 16 July 2011 (has links)
This thesis realizes miniature bandpass filters using integrated passive device technology. The bandpass filters are designed based on coupled resonator method with single-band and dual-band responses, using a transformer structure with high-density winging pattern. In addition, the designs adopt the electric- and magnetic-field cancellation and the feedback mechanism to produce transmission zeros in the filter responses for enhancing selectivity and stopband rejection. In order to satisfy the specific requirements of commercial bandpass filter products, this thesis designed and implemented a trisection filter with cross coupling on a low-loss RT/Duroid substrate to generate a transmission zero very near the passband.

LTE MIMO Antenna with High Isolation for Laptop Computer

Wu, Tsung-Ju 14 June 2012 (has links)
For applications of wireless communication of the fourth generation (4G LTE), the technique of using a printed parallel-resonant spiral strip for bandwidth enhancement of a small-size planar laptop computer (especially the thin Ultrabook) antenna for the LTE operation is first presented. The antenna is printed on a thin FR4 substrate of small size 45 x 9 mm2 with a simple uniplanar structure which is promising for Ultrabook application. Based on the proposed antenna structure, its application for MIMO operation to achieve enhanced isolation is also analyzed in this thesis. Different from the works for the relatively much smaller ground plane conditions such as in the mobile phones, the effect of different size of the supporting conductive plate of the upper corner of the Ultrabook is discussed for the isolation issue of the MIMO antennas. Finally, the technique of isolation improvement in the LTE700 band for the MIMO operation in the Ultrabook is presented.

NOVEL PRINTED ANTENNA DESIGNS FOR WLAN APPLICATIONS

Wu, Tzuenn-yih 01 June 2004 (has links)
Novel printed monopole antennas, including diversity antennas, monopole array antennas and broadband antennas for WLAN operation, are experimentally studied and presented in this dissertation. These proposed antennas can be printed on dielectric substrates and practically integrated with system circuit boards by using printed circuit board technique. Also, the proposed antennas are low cost in fabrication and the reliability of system circuit boards can be improved. First, the design of the diversity antenna, which mainly comprises two substantially orthogonal printed monopoles and are placed symmetrically with respect to a protruded ground plane of T shape, shows good isolation between the two feeding ports of the proposed antenna. Second, the design of the printed array antenna, which comprises three equally-spaced equilateral-triangular monopoles, is proposed. Among the three monopoles, the center one has a larger size, which mainly controls the lower operation band, and the other two monopoles have a smaller size for higher operation band and show higher antenna gain and wider operating bandwidth. Finally, the quasi-self-complementary antenna is introduced. With compact size and wide bandwidth achieved, the proposed antenna is suitable for a mobile communication device, and can also provide good spatial diversity to combat the multi-path interference problem when mounting two proposed antennas appropriately spaced on a WLAN card.

Dual Wideband Planar Monopole Antennas for Wireless Network Applications

Pan, Chien-Yuan 18 July 2007 (has links)
This dissertation presents four dual-band printed monopole antennas. There are three printed monopole antennas operating in 2.4 GHz and 5.2/5.8 GHz WLAN bands, and a dual wideband printed monopole operating applies in 2.4/5.2/5.8 GHz WLAN bands and 2.5/3.5/5.5 GHz WiMAX bands. The proposed antennas mainly use two approaches to achieve dual-band and dual wideband operations. The first method uses two different resonant paths in radiating monopole to excite two desired operating frequencies. The proposed configuration using the first method is a printed G-shaped monopole antenna. The second method places the conductor-backed plane on the other side of the radiated monopole to perturb its resonant behaviors for enhancing impedance bandwidth. Three configurations using the second method are proposed. The one with the best wideband performance is a printed rectangular monopole antenna with a trapezoid conductor-backed plane. Measured results for the proposed antennas show satisfactory performances and good agreement with the simulated results.

Vibration Analysis Of Pcbs And Electronic Components

Aytekin, Banu 01 April 2008 (has links) (PDF)
In this thesis, vibration analyses of electronic assemblies that consist of an electronic box, printed circuit board and electronic components are presented. A detailed vibration analysis of a real electronic assembly is performed by finite element methods and vibration tests. Effects of component addition and component modeling are investigated by finite element analysis in detail. Results are compared in order to identify the most efficient, reliable and suitable method depending on the type of problem. Experimental results for the vibration of an electronic box, PCB and components are presented and discussed. Furthermore, an analytical model that represents a printed circuit board and electronic component is suggested for fixed and simply supported boundary conditions of the PCB. Different types of electronic components are modeled analytically to observe different dynamic characteristics. The validity of the analytical model is computationally checked by comparing results with those of finite element solution.

STUDIES OF DUAL-BAND AND BROADBAND PRINTED SLOT ANTENNAS

Chen, Wen-Shan 11 January 2001 (has links)
Novel designs of printed slot antennas have been investigated in this dissertation. For the linearly polarized designs, the study of single-feed dual-frequency printed slot antennas with an open-ring conducting strip is first presented. In addition, a novel design of dual-frequency dual-loop printed slot antenna is described. As for the broadband printed slot antenna designs, a printed semicircular slot antenna with a microstripline feed is shown. The impedance bandwidth obtained reaches about 46%. For the circularly polarized designs, we propose a circularly polarized microstrip antenna with an asymmetry of the antenna structure. By choosing a suitable meandered slot, CP operation can be obtained. Finally, we apply the design concept of CP operation using a shorted section to achieve a circularly polarized printed slot antenna design. The obtained CP bandwidth of this design is greater than 8%.
