Pro-Gamers upplevelser av stressorer inom sitt FIFA-utövande och vilka copingstrategier som används för att hantera dem / FIFA pro-gamers' experience of stressors and whichcoping strategies are used to manage themWallén, Henrik, Williamson, Max January 2023 (has links)
The purpose of the study was to investigate how Pro-gamers within FIFA experience stressors and which coping strategies are used to deal with them. The focus of the study was to bring out experiences of stressors in the participants to write if they experience and lead to any stress and performance anxiety when they are in a competitive context and if they experience these factors what they use for coping strategies to deal with these situations. A total of eight interviewees participated where all were men aged 17-34 years (M=22.5, SD=?) where these interviewees were in the inclusion criteria to participate in the studies where all were pro-gamers within FIFA. The study was based on a qualitative research method and used semi-structured interviews to collect data and an interview guide based on a theoretical framework, McGrath's (1970) four-step stress process model. In the results of the study, a total of two main themes emerge, the first main theme mentioned is perceived stressors, which in total has five underlying themes. These are demands on oneself, demands of society demands of the association, demands of fans and demands of friends and family. The second main theme that emerges in the study is coping strategies used to manage perceived stressors, that have a total of four underlying themes. These are support from the association, support from family, support from friends and coping strategies in their FIFA practice. The results part in the studies has different answers, but it was, among other things, that interviewees experience stressors in their FIFA playing, where they experience demands on themselves, society, the association, fans and from their friends and family, among other things. In the results section, it was also revealed which strategies the interviewees use to deal with these demands, which can contribute to the participants experiencing stressors. What emerged was, for example, that they felt that there was good support from the association and used the opportunity from their family and friends that they also used individual strategies such as physical activity or going out for a walk. The results of the study may in the future be useful to future research for esports associations and similar organizations. This is because the study's results can be further researched on, among other things, which coping strategies can be used if you experience stressors in your FIFA practice.

Towards a business process model warehouse frameworkJacobs, Dina Elizabeth 31 March 2008 (has links)
This dissertation focuses on the re-use of business process reference models, available in a business process model warehouse, to enable the definition of more comprehensive business requirements. It proposes a business process model warehouse framework to promote the re-use of multiple business process reference models and the flexible visualisation of business process models. The critical success factor for such a framework is that it should contribute to minimise to some extent the causes of inadequate business requirements. The proposed framework is based on an analogy with a data warehouse framework, consisting of the following components: usage of multiple business process reference models as source models, the conceptual design of a process to extract, load and transform multiple business process reference models into a repository, a description of repository functionality for managing enterprise architecture artefacts, and motivation of flexible visualisation of business process models to ensure more comprehensive business requirements. / Computer Science (School of Computing) / M.Sc. Computer experiments: design, modeling and integrationQian, Zhiguang 19 May 2006 (has links)
The use of computer modeling is fast increasing in almost every
scientific, engineering and business arena. This dissertation
investigates some challenging issues in design, modeling and
analysis of computer experiments, which will consist of four major
parts. In the first part, a new approach is developed to combine
data from approximate and detailed simulations to build a
surrogate model based on some stochastic models. In the second
part, we propose some Bayesian hierarchical Gaussian process
models to integrate data from different types of experiments. The
third part concerns the development of latent variable models for
computer experiments with multivariate response with application
to data center temperature modeling. The last chapter is devoted
to the development of nested space-filling designs for multiple
experiments with different levels of accuracy.

An Approach For Including Business Requirements To Soa DesignOcakturk, Murat 01 February 2010 (has links) (PDF)
In this thesis, a service oriented decomposition approach: Use case Driven Service Oriented Architecture (UDSOA), is introduced to close the gap between business requirements and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) design by including business use cases and system use cases into decomposition process. The approach is constructed upon Service Oriented Software Engineering (SOSE) modeling technique and aims to fill the deficits of it at the decomposition phase. Further, it aims to involve both business vision and Information Technologies concerns in the decomposition process. This approach starts with functional top-down decomposition of the domain. Then, business use cases are used for further decomposition because of their high-level view. This connects the business requirements and our SOA design. Also it raises the level of abstraction which allows us to focus on business services. Second step of the SOA approach uses system use cases to continue decomposition. System use cases help discovering technical web services and allocating them on the decomposition tree. Service oriented analysis also helps separating business and technical services in tightly coupled architecture conditions. Those two steps together bring quality in to both problem and solution domains.

Fast uncertainty reduction strategies relying on Gaussian process modelsChevalier, Clément 18 September 2013 (has links) (PDF)

Aiming technical, managerial and strategic improvements, business process models have been used in organizational environments to understand the process chain. Although these models may present readability problems and navigation difficulties as they become extensive, they can cover many information about resources and interactions between different sectors and people, showing interdependencies among the processes. Interdependencies are not always easy to understand because of its complex and not standardized knowledge. The use of ontologies has opened a complementary perspective to mitigate these problems and to provide processes with machine-accessible semantics. Also, they contribute in the conceptualization and organization of the embedded and unstructured information that is present in the business processes and that must be explored. In order to ease machine knowledge, ontologies are used to structure the implicit knowledge in business processes. They also contribute to the alignment of the organization's business and IT teams. In this context, this work presents a systematic process to generate an ontology from a business process model in BPMN v2.0, allowing to query information about the model. In this way, PM2ONTO tool was developed aiming to generate the ontology in OWL automatically and to provide an interface for predefined queries elaborated in the SPARQL language. Business process models should be exported to files in XPDL v2.2, which will be the inputs of the PM2ONTO system. The resulting ontologies stay available in a database for queries and can also be manipulated by other different tools. The systematic process evaluation presented in this work was made based on case studies, using business process models of different areas and different levels of complexity.

New approaches for the discovery of high-utility relations in processes : application to healthcareDalmas, Benjamin 06 April 2018 (has links)
Ever since the post-World War II baby-boom, France has had to cope with an aging population and with pathologies that have become chronic. These new health problems imply more reccurent, more complex and multidisciplinary medical care. However, multiple obstacles related to the evolution of the society or to the internal organization of the healthcare system hinder the development of new and more adapted health procedures to meet new medical needs. In a context where health expanses have to be reduced, it is necessary to have a better management of health processes. Our work aims at proposing a set of methods to gain an understanding of the elderly health path in the Auvergne region. To this end, a description of the elderly health path is necessary in order to have this missing overview. Moreover, this will enable the identification of the stakeholders, their interactions and the constraints to which they are submitted in the different health procedures. The work presented in this thesis focuses on two problems. The first one consists in developing techniques to efficiently model health paths. With these models, we will be able to analyze how the different segments of a medical care are ordered. The second problem consists in developing techniques to extract relevant information from the data, according to a predefined business point of view, specific to the user who analyzes the model. This knowledge will enable the detection of frequent or abnormal parts of a health path.To resolve these problems, the methods we propose in this thesis are related to process mining and data mining. These disciplines aim at exploiting data available in today's information systems in order to discover useful knowledge. In a first part, we propose a methodology that relies on the expressive power of process models to extract relevant information. In a second part, we propose techniques to build local process models that represent interesting fragments of behavior. The experiments we performed show the efficiency of the methods we propose. Moreover, we analyze data from different application domains to prove the genericity of the developed techniques.

Codakia orbicularis is a bivalve mollusk belonging to the family Lucinidae harboring sulfur-oxidizing bacterial endosymbionts within its gills. Considering that any symbiosis is most likely regulated by dialogue molecules, an exhaustive chemical study could lead to identify the involved metabolites. Thus, the aim of this thesis focuses on the isolation of secondary metabolites from the gills of this bivalve and the evaluation of the antibacterial activity of the isolated molecules. Twelve compounds were isolated from the gills of Codakia orbicularis and their structures were determined by usual spectroscopic methods. Among these molecules, only one presented a new structure and has been named orbicularisine. The latter presents an undescribed spirotetracyclic indolone skeleton. Regarding the biological activities, among the isolated molecules, only four of them identified as S8 sulfur, 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde and two monoglycerolipids presented an antibacterial activity. Orbicularisine was inactive against a panel of cell lines and kinase. The orbicularisine new skeleton is an interesting start for the synthesis of new family of molecules, thus enhancing its molecular diversity. It will be interesting to determine the origin of the isolated molecules (prokaryotic or eukaryotic), especially for the new orbicularisine, and their roles in the frame of the symbiosis. The chemical results obtained on C. orbicularis and on lucinids in general are interesting since the coastal species belonging to Bivalves have not been chemically explored.
