The U.S. Army¡¯s Chemical Demilitarization are designed to store, treat and destroy the nation¡¯s aging chemical weapons. It operates Near-Real-Time Monitors and Deport Area Monitoring Systems to detect chemical agent at concentrations before they become dangerous to workers, public health and the environment. CDC recommends that the sampling and analytical methods measure within 25% of the true concentration 95% of the time, and if this criterion is not met the alarm set point or reportable level should be adjusted. Two methods were provided by Army¡¯s Programmatic Laboratory and Monitoring Quality Assurance Plan to evaluate the monitoring systems based on CDC recommendations. This thesis addresses the potential problems associated with these two methods and proposes the Bayesian method in an effort to improve the assessment. Comparison of simulation results indicates that Bayesian method produces a relatively better estimate for verifying monitoring system performance as long as the prior given is correct.

Os métodos de pesquisa envolvem revisão teórica e estudo de caso, a fim de verificar a aplicação prática dos conhecimentos levantados e avaliar o desempenho desses edifícios, com uso da Avaliação Pós-Ocupação, cujos resultados estabelecem a avaliação qualitativa desse desempenho e as prioridades dos usuários quanto a esses requisitos. Com base nas análises realizadas, a Tese é concluída com a elaboração de um modelo para o Planejamento da Qualidade de edifícios hoteleiros aplicado às fases de \"concepção\" e \"uso e operação\", como forma de integrá-las, elevar o desempenho do edifício e a satisfação de seus usuários. / The fierce competition in the market and the alertness of the consumer to the quality of products define a context in which buildings are perceived as assets that contribute to the productivity of organizations. However, the design of buildings does not always ensure solutions that will promote adequacy to their operation, once the real demands of their users tend not to be taken into consideration. The aim of this thesis is to propose conceptual model capable of integrating the building design stage with its operation stage by means of a high quality plan. There is a wide variety of components, processes and players involved in the production and operation of hotel buildings, not to mention the complexity of their architectural program and the relevant role played by building maintenance activities in its performance, aspects which justify the choice of the object of the research. The research methods comprise theoretical revision and case studies in order to establish the practical application of the knowledge acquired and evaluate the performance of these buildings, by means of the Post-Occupation Evaluation, whose results establish the qualitative evaluation of their performance and the priorities of their uses regarding these requisites. Based on the analyses undertaken, the Thesis is concluded with the elaboration of a model for the Quality Planning for hotel buildings applied on design and operation stages, in order to integrate these stages, enhance their performance and promote client satisfaction.

Master thesis describes the basic concepts and principles of planning of the quality of the contruction project. The theoretical part describes the general quality management and quality management in the construction company. In the practical part is created an inspection and test plan for construction of the family house Skalice.

Quality is the key to a well executed product or service. The construction industry hasn’t highlighted the quality in recent times which have contributed to the construction industry receiving much criticism in the field. The public sees it as an offhanded industry where errors and delays are common.The reason for this is considered to be primarily the lack of time, constant pressure to reduce costs and skills and the ability to communicate between the parties about what the correct quality really means. The industry has begun to realize that it must start setting clearer standards and that there are great opportunities for improvement.This report will give Peab an opportunity to develop their quality work. The report highlights Peab residential area of Stockholm market position with the current quality of subcontractors and suppliers. It also provides suggestions on how Peab in a better way can work with quality and with this becoming a more competitive player in the market. The conclusions that can be drawn from this study is that Peab is aware of the problem and has begun work on improvements to enhance quality of work. Peab, for example, developed tools for gathering experience. Unfortunately these methods were used poorly and not to the degree that is required. Peab also works with partnering, based on long term business relationships. Correct use of partnering increases the chances of higher quality in the projects. Concrete proposals for improvements that this report highlights include higher standards in the procurement process, dare make demands on the quality of subcontractors and suppliers, learn from the mistakes made and disseminate the knowledge within the Group and work with long-term business relationships in which partners can develop one another .

This Thesis looks at the current situation in the UNICORN a.s. company and analyses how the projects are managed in the company. The Thesis suggests recommendation for improvements in this field according to ČSN ISO 10 006 Quality Management Systems - Guidelines for quality management in projects.

The content of this work is a technology report, time and financial plan of the building, the study of the main technological stages, the project construction site, design and dimensions of construction machinery, inspection and test plans for quality and technological regulation.

The content of this master's thesis is architectural and technological project of new built administration building Přelouč city. This project contains technological instruction how to build supporting structures from reinforced concrete, suggestion of used machinery,time schedule, quality plan, detailed costing, building management, design of work site and plan of work safety.
