Analýza rozvoje krajů ČR

Jelínková, Lucie January 2017 (has links)
The purpose of this master´s thesis is to assess the development of selected regions in Czech Republic between years 2010 and 2014. The development is assessed from economic, social and environmental perspective. In these areas the appropriate indicators of development (growth) are identified, which are assessed both individually and together. The introductory part is focused on theoretical overview of economic growth and development, measuring of economic growth, factors which affect the region level and the business environment within the specific region. Next part describes the method of construction of the composite indicator (KI). The thesis is based on selection and evaluation of the indicators with respect to their effect on the region development. It also provides possible recommendations. The proposed composite indicator is created by using the correlation matrix, appropriate method of data normalization, determining weights and aggregation. As a result of the work, there is a dimensionless quantity which establishes the order of selected regions within the given areas and the overall order, which is graphically visualized by cartogram.

The effects of FDI on regionalism in states of ASEAN

Kolečková, Denisa January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis is aimed to analyze and investigate theoretically and empirically whether FDI affects regionalism in Southeast and East Asia. It applies regression analysis to examine how foreign direct investment influence GDP growth, the most visible aspect of ASEAN´s open regionalism. Panel data analysis was carried out, using time series data over the period from 2005 to 2014 to establish a relationship between chosen variables. The findings indicate that foreign direct investment has influential role in the economic integration and development of the ASEAN countries. The contribution of FDI to growth is significant in East and Southeast Asia.

Endogenní model růstu, vzdálenost k technologické hranici a instituce na trhu práce / Endogenous Growth Model, Distance to Frontier, and Labour Market Institutions

Šoltés, Michal January 2016 (has links)
This thesis studies the effect of generosity of unemployment insurance on economic growth. More generous unemployment insurance is argued to cause an increase in unemployment on the one hand and better job match quality on the other. Our model shows that in the developed countries, there may be some level of unemployment insurance which ensures that the productivity gain offsets the loss due to higher unemployment. On the contrary, in the developing countries, any level of unemployment insurance was revealed to harm economic growth. Moreover, we present strong evidence in favour of a positive effect of unemployment insurance on the aggregate productivity growth. Key words: Unemployment Insurance, Distance to Frontier, Endogenous Growth Model, Technology Growth, Economic Growth

Dopad makroobezřetnostní politiky na trh nemovitostí / Macroprudential Policy and its Impact on the Real Estate Market

Wdowyczynová, Lucie January 2017 (has links)
After the recent world financial crisis, macroprudential policy tools have started to play an important role in maintaining financial stability. In many countries, the tools have been extensively used only in recent years and their effectiveness is often difficult to assess. Using an index as a proxy for policy tools is one of ways to measure their impact. In this thesis, a new index capturing, in contrast with other studies, also an intensity factor, is constructed. Results are mostly in accordance with economic intuition and existing studies and suggest that indices constructed in an equivalent way can help to understand the impact of policies on changes in housing prices and credit volumes. Přispívá populační růst k ekonomickému růstu zeme ? / Can population growth contribute to economic growth of the country?

Rauschová, Lenka January 2008 (has links)
A statement of Harvard economists about the impact of demographic variables on the East Asian economic growth, often called "economic miracle", raised many discussions about the sources of economic growth. In this work, I focus on the historical development of the mainstream opinions on the field of demographic-economic relations and the role of the demographic characteristics in the economic growth models. This paper uses graphics tools to analyse the changes in mortality, fertility, dependecy ratios and age structures in four Asian countries (Hongkong, Singapore, South Korea and Japan). These demographics values prepared the basis for their rapid economic development. I compare empirical results of Kelley and Schmidt model, Bloom model and Mishra model to make a conclusion of what is the impact of demographic variables on the economic growth and how they contribute to the total economic growth. Finally, I draw the attention to the macroeconomic interventions with detailed focus on domestic savings, labour market flexibility and human capital investments.

Optimalizace růstu explantátové kultury Juniperus virginiana / Optimization of the growth of plant tissue culture of Juniperus virginiana

Damborská, Vendula January 2015 (has links)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacognosy Student: Vendula Damborská Supervisor: PharmDr. Marie Kašparová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: The Optimization of the growth of the plant tissue culture of Juniperus virginiana The main goal of this diploma thesis lies in the optimization of cultivation medium composition for the tissue culture of Juniperus virginiana (varieties 'Hetzii', 'Glauca', 'Grey Owl'). The best results of all tested media were achieved by using Schenk and Hildebrandt medium with an addition of α-NAA (3.0 mg.l-1 ), kinetin (0.2 mg.l-1 ) and ascorbic acid (15.0 mg.l-1 ). The cultures were cultivated at the temperature of 25 řC and light period of 16 hours light/8 hours dark. The growth curve for the tissue culture of Juniperus virginiana 'Glauca' was set for 2 different cases: with and without the addition of phenylalanin (biogenetic precursor of phenylpropans biosynthesis). The maximal growth was reached on 35th day of the cultivation in both cases, phenylalanin increases the growth rate by 29.65 %.

The Relationship between Unemployment Components and Economic Growth: the Czech Republic Case / The Relationship between Unemployment Components and Economic Growth: the Czech Republic Case

Kopečná, Vědunka January 2015 (has links)
The choice of an appropriate government policy tool to promote the employment should be done with regard to the source of unemployment. This diploma the- sis investigates structural and cyclical components of unemployment. The two components are induced by different causes. Search and matching frictions in the labor market are the source of the structural component. The cyclical component is induced by a low labor productivity which induces a negative gross marginal profit of firms. Consequently, they are obliged to cancel a portion of existing job- worker matches. The main finding is that during a period of economic slowdown the overall unemployment and its cyclical component rise while the structural component declines. The dynamics of the two components is reversed during a robust economic growth. The diploma thesis proceeds with investigating the pub- lic hiring, a policy potentially suitable to diminish the unemployment during an economic slowdown. The results show that the public hiring can be successfully applied despite the private employment crowding out. A New Keynesian DSGE model calibrated for the Czech Republic is used to model the labor market dy- namics. The results are interpreted with regard to the historic development of the unemployment and the economic growth from 2000 to 2014. JEL...

Texturní analýza granitů západokrušnohorského plutonu: Implikace pro krystalizační kinetiku a vztahy mezi krystaly a taveninou / Textural analysis of granites from the Western Krušné hory/Erzgebirge pluton: implications for crystallization kinetics and crystal-melt interactions

Ditterová, Hana January 2014 (has links)
Texture of igneous rocks, which includes size, shape and spatial distribution of grains, represents the final record of kinetic and mechanical processes operating during ascent and final emplacement of a magma. However, traditional geochemical approaches cannot assess and verify the physical processes of magma solidification, in particular, crystal nucleation and growth, textural coarsening, or mechanical crystal-melt interactions. In this work, I apply stereological methods to quantitatively characterize the textures and to interpret the crystallization history of granitic rocks in the Western Krušné hory/Erzgebirge and Vogtland. The Western Krušné hory/Erzgebirge granites consist of three suites: biotite granites (Kirchberg), muscovite-biotite microgranites (Walfischkopf), and topaz-zinnwaldite alkali- feldspar granites (Eibenstock), which consist of eight intrusive units and two aplite dyke sets. The entire granite sequence exhibits an extreme and nearly continuous differentiation range, but in detail the evolutionary trends of each suite are independent, and individual intrusive units are also clearly compositionally separated. The granites consist of 29-43 vol.% quartz, 20-30 vol. % plagioclase, 22-31 vol. % K-feldspar, 2-9 vol. % biotite, <2 vol. % muscovite, and minor topaz and apatite. All...

Studium růstu 1-D struktur obsahujících atomy kovů III a IV skupiny pomocí STM / STM study of growing 1D nanostructures composed by III and IV group atoms

Kučera, Michael January 2011 (has links)
In the presented work we study Al and Sn on a Si(100)2$\times$1 surface by means of STM. Peculiarities of displaying and morphology of metallic structures are investigated. Utilizing the STM to investigate Al and Sn, we obtain the growth characteristics for various coverage and temperatures at deposition. It is shown, that island size distribution is scalable for both metals and has a qualitatively different character. In order to interpret the growth characteristics and obtain unknown microscopic parameters, a new software tool for kinetic Monte Carlo (kMC) simulations of aluminum was conceived.

Subsaharská Afrika: nekonečná zadluženost / Sub-Saharan Africa: Infinite Indebtedness

Gazdík, Vojtěch January 2011 (has links)
Sub-Saharan Africa is the poorest region in the world suffering from social, political and economic problems. The study focuses on investigation of relationship of capital flight and external debt to long-term economic growth in this region. Firstly the magnitude of capital flight is computed. Using fixed effects model and random effects model we estimate the impact of external debt and capital flight on long-term growth. Moreover the time structure of debt and its source is integrated into model. Our sample consists of 24 countries from sub-Saharan Africa over the period 1989-2008. We have found that external debt has statistically significant negative impact on growth. On the other hand this impact is economically negligible. The long-term growth is also slowed down by long-term debt and by multilateral borrowing. Concerning capital flight its effect on growth is harmful as well.
