Matematické modelování růstu krystalů / Matematické modelování růstu krystalů

Blechta, Jan January 2013 (has links)
We present a numerical model of Bridgman crystal growth. Pseudo-incompressibility constraint is used to handle jumps in density during phase change. ALE formulation is employed to account for moving parts of the system. Field equations and movement of material interfaces are decoupled in fractional step manner. Naviér-Stokes problem is extended to solid phase where no flow is enforced by Darcy-like forcing. Latent heat of phase change is added to effective heat capacity as approximate Dirac-$\delta$. Backward Euler discretization in space and P2/P1/P1 in space are used. Transient and stationary solutions are being found and compared to temperatures measured directly inside a steady system. Influence of pull-rates on growth process and shape of phase interface are being examined. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Ontogeneze a evoluce velikosti a pohlavní dvojtvárnosti u plazů / Ontogeny and evolution of body size and sexual size dimorphism in reptiles

Frýdlová, Petra January 2013 (has links)
Monitor lizards (Varanidae) are morphologically very uniform in body shape, but much diversified in body size along both phylogenetic and ontogenetic axes. A striking sexual size dimorphism exists in monitor lizards; they are capable of fast growth, metabolism and sexual maturation. I collected the data concerning body size of particular species and verified the validity of Rench's rule, which said that there is bigger difference in body size of a conspecific male and females growing with larger body size of the species. Males are markedly bigger than females. In the next step, I focused on the model species of monitor lizards, Varanus indicus. I monitored its ontogeny very carefully. I found that this monitor lizard has pronounced sexual size dimorphism, but there are only small differences in body shape. It is capable of rapid growth and sexual maturation. The sexual dimorphism in body shape is only poor, but still measurable right in those places where the selection pressures were expected. Blood sampling monitored biochemical and haematological parameters. The concentrations of the biochemical parameters revealed the economy of resources of particular sexes partially, the costs of body growth and reproduction. Although both sexes produce the same amount of biomass (the body growth of males vs. the...

Termokinetický model a kvantitativní popis magmatických textur / Thermokinetic model and quantitative description of magmatic textures

Špillar, Václav January 2016 (has links)
Variability of magmatic textures records a wide array of physicochemical and mechanical processes that have operated in a magma chamber during its crystallization. Here I investigate how the final textural record can quantitatively be used to decipher the magma crystallization history and internal dynamics of magma chambers. The thesis is based on a formulation of numerical models of texture formation under the activity of various crystallization processes. Numerical results are then compared to the new quantitative textural datasets derived from four distinct magmatic systems in the Bohemian Massif: (i) Fichtelgebirge-Smrčiny granite batholith; (ii) Krkonoše-Jizera plutonic complex; (iii) Kdyně mafic intrusion; (iv) České středohoří volcanic complex. Combination of the field textural studies with their interpretation via numerical crystallization models provides new implications regarding magmatic crystallization and internal dynamics of magma chamber. The most important results of this Ph.D. thesis are as follows: (i) a new method has been developed that allows the rates of nucleation and growth of crystals to be derived from quantitative textural data. The method requires using the crystallinity evolution in time as an independent constraint in order to provide unique solution. In case of the...

Tělesná velikost jako implicitní faktor: příkladové studie o životních strategiích a chování / Body size as an implicit factor: case studies of life-history strategies and behaviour

Šimková, Olga January 2016 (has links)
Body size has a potential to influence almost any trait in animal biology. The thesis contains four case studies (I - IV) covering four various situations and four various taxa, mainly squamate reptiles (Lepidosauria). Body size is a connecting factor for all these studies, in which I and my co-authors tried to elucidate various implications of body size. I. The sex ratio in Cuban boa (Chilabothrus angulifer) litters is often male or female biased. The neonates are so large, that are able to accept the same type of prey as are adults (in contrast to the other Chilabothrus species). We found that both the sexes are of the same size and shape at birth. Large size of the neonates a long lifespan lead to considerable generation overlaps. This could clarify our findings that small females produce sons whereas the larger ones deliver daughters. Males are smaller than females, probably also less philopatric and refuse food during breeding season. We can conclude that females manipulate the sex ratio of neonates according to its own body size, in order to decrease the probability of competition with their own offspring. II. Mangrove-dwelling monitor lizard (Varanus indicus) shows one of the greatest degrees of sexual size dimorphism among monitor lizards. We recorded the growth of the individuals from...

Akciové trhy a hospodářský růst v Evropské unii

Bartůňková, Hana January 2007 (has links)

Möstl, Vojtěch January 2007 (has links)

Solidarita a sociální spravedlnost ve společnosti / Solidarity nad Social Justice in Society

Kankrlík, Tomáš January 2011 (has links)
The paper focuses on the welfare state, which is enjoying the favor on the one hand and facing the strong criticism on the other hand. The work aims to assess the relationship of the social expenditure share in GDP and the GDP growth in the selected European countries, namely Sweden, Germany and Great Britain. Within the solution of this question the work focuses first on the theory of the welfare state and the state intervention approaches applied in the exercise of social policy. Further the work points to the adverse effects of the social policy. In the applied part the paper analyzes the countries in terms of the structure of social expenditures, their share in GDP and the GDP growth in the period. The paper focuses particularly on the relationship of the share of social expenditures in GDP and the GDP growth. In all three cases the demonstration of the dependence of observed variables based on correlation analysis failed. At the conclusion the work provides evaluation of the relationship of the social expenditure share in GDP and the unemployment rate, where the dependence of both indicators was confirmed.

Význam institucionálního prostředí pro inovační činnost podniků v ČR / The significance of the institutional environment for innovation activities of enterprises in the Czech Republic

Bízková, Jitka January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis represents an effort to contribute to the solving of the problem of optimal relations between the institutional environment, entrepreneurial activity and innovative activity in terms of securing a higher degree of competitiveness of the current economy in the Czech Republic. The institutional environment is perceived as the rules of the game, under which social interactions take place. When defining the business activity the Schumpeter's theory of creative destruction is not ignored and the issue of innovation activity is viewed from the perspective of institutional change. Various forms of institutional environment are analyzed in the selected European countries (Germany, Finland, Switzerland), whose competitiveness is based on successful innovation activities. The research is extended by the comparison of innovation policies and the analysis of the level of ICT infrastructure of the above mentioned countries. The significance of the institutional framework for innovation activities is evaluated in the final part of the thesis. The content of the corrective measures in the current economic policy of Czech Republic is drawn from the evaluation.

Podnikatelské strategie pro čínský trh - příklad společnosti Coca-Cola, HBC / Business strategy for the Chinese market - an example of Coca-Cola HBC

Kyselová, Karolina January 2011 (has links)
This thesis deals with the business strategy in the Chinese market, which is introduced a concrete example of the business strategy of Coca-Cola. According the breadth of the topic there is not included the overall business strategy of mentioned company, but corporate social responsibility, which is the third pillar of the strategy. The aim is to compare by values of social responsibility and setting the Coca-Cola's current situation on the Chinese market and local governments attitude to the main problems of this area. The first chapter is describe the economic growth and current economic development of China, which is marked by the global financial crisis. In the context of sustainable development of Coca-Cola is worth mentioning the Convention and the obligations arising from the country for membership in the ILO. This issue is devoted to the second chapter. The last chapter describes the business strategy (including the basic pillars of the strategy "4A"), with a focus on ensuring sustainable growth. This information is used not only to approach the business strategy, but also for possible access to government compared with the real situation in the country.

Role finančního rozvoje pro ekonomický růst: Meta-analýza / The Role of Financial Development in Economic Growth: A Meta-Analysis

Valíčková, Petra January 2012 (has links)
This diploma thesis presents a meta-analysis of the accumulated empirical evidence on the relationship between financial development and economic growth. So far, hundreds of studies have been written on the role of financial systems in economic growth; however, their results are ambiguous. This is supported both by theory and empirical research. In order to shed some light on the underlying relationship, narrative literature surveys have been conducted. Nevertheless, the authors of these surveys select representative studies for inclusion subjectively and thus build their results on only a limited set of information. Moreover, due to the nature of their analyses, they cannot systematically assess which factors influence the heterogeneity in reported findings or whether the results are driven by the desire to produce only positive and statistically significant results. Thus, the main focus of our work lies in investigating what the role of financial development in economic growth is, adjusted for possible publication selection, and to systematically explain the heterogeneity behind reported results. For this analysis a pool of available studies investigating the underlying relationship was collected. More specifically, our analysis takes into account data from 67 empirical studies with 1334...
