Příčiny a důsledky vícerychlostní Evropy

Žďárová, Adéla January 2017 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to identify the causes of a multi-speed Europe and their effects on the EU functioning. Main interest is the study of the influence of institutional frameworks. Multi-speed Europe is against the idea of harmonized economic growth of countries which is an important factor for the Europe coordinati-on and its competitiveness. An increased level of the differences among countries could be the consequence of two speeds, it could lead to disintegration in extreme case. Therefore, it is interesting and important to address this issue. The thesis deals with the integration of the countries into the European Union and the actual problem of multi-speed Europe. Research of the causes and consequences of a multi-speed Europe is an essential part. Following part focuses on cluster analysis which aims to determine the similarity of the individual states of the European Union according to the identified causes. In order to sum the thesis up, the regression analysis is made which examines the direction and magnitude of the impact of all the individual causes on the economic growth.

Ayeh, Elizabeth January 2019 (has links)
The general purpose of this study is to determine the contribution of agriculture to the economy of Ghana. The country’s economy is characterised by the presence of high level of agriculture. Agriculture is the main economic activity for most people in Ghana. The study reveals that agriculture contributes about 18% to GDP, 40.65% of total employment, and about 34% of total exports of agricultural valued added goods and source of industrial inputs (raw materials) in the country. Nevertheless, agriculture in the country has faced the following challenges: low fertiliser uses and yield, pests and diseases, inadequate modern farm inputs and technologies, lack of financial support systems, rural-urban migration, agricultural extension services, land tenure system, poor road network, and low prices for agricultural products. The government should encourage more exportation of agricultural output this would concurrently, augment the country’s foreign exchange record in a positive direction and bolster the competitive qualities of the country’s products on the international front. Also, agricultural universities, if none exist, must be created and equipped with financial and technological capacities to carry out serious research and investigation into all facets of the agricultural economy; including; forestry, aquaculture, apiculture, diseases and pest, and crop production, not excluding post-harvest and marketing researches.

Factors affecting economic growth in Serbia

Papić, Danijela January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis evaluates the impact of selected factors on economic growth in Serbia. The existence of the relationship between economic growth and chosen macroeconomic indicators is tested with the use of cointegration test, Vector Error Correction model (VECM) and Granger causality test during the period 2007-2017. When it comes to long-run dynamics, results show positive impact of inflation, while the exports have negative influence. In the short-run, positive effect is observed by inflation and exports and negative by FDI. No effect of government expenditures is revealed in both short-run and long-run.

Přímé zahraniční investice a ekonomický růst / Foreign Direct Investment and Economic Growth

Hayat, Arshad January 2020 (has links)
Foreign Direct Investment and Economic Growth Abstract This dissertation consists of three empirical research papers on FDI inflow and economic growth and the role the host country natural resources abundance and institutional quality play in altering the FDI-growth relationship. The first paper (chapter 2) investigates the FDI-growth relationship and the impact of the host country's natural resource abundance on the FDI-growth relationship. The paper uses a dataset of 117 countries over the period 1991-2016 and use system GMM estimation method and found a positive and significant impact of FDI inflows on the economic growth of the host country. However, FDI-induced growth was found to be more pronounced in the low-and middle-income countries compared to high-income countries. Further, FDI-induced economic growth is slowed down by the increase in the size of the natural resource sector both in the low-and middle-income as well as high- income countries. The direct negative impact of natural resources on growth was found to be stronger in the low-and middle-income countries compared to the high-income countries. Building on the results of the first paper (chapter 3), the second paper estimated a fixed effect threshold for the level of natural resources and found that FDI inflow has a stronger positive impact...

The nexus of foreign capital inflow and economic growth in Ethiopia

Lalisho, Admasu January 2017 (has links)
This thesis examines the relationship between foreign capital inflows and economic growth in Ethiopia over the period from 1981 to 2014. In particular, the real GDP per capita as a function of foreign aid, foreign direct investment and other foreign capital inflows (remittances and external debt) were investigated. The ARDL approach was applied to explain the long run and short run effect of explanatory variables on the dependent variable. The result reveals that the flow of foreign aid has a negative effect on economic growth both in long run and short run. This is mainly because the existence of poor institutional arrangement and the funds are not always connected to the productive sectors. Similarly, the long run relationship between the flow of foreign direct investment and the economic growth is negative. The possible explanation for this negative effect is due to inadequate basic infrastructures and poor institutional quality in the country. However, the long run and short run effect of other foreign capital inflows and the short run effect of foreign direct investment are found to be insignificant in affecting real GDP per capita. In addition, the causality test result indicates that there is a unidirectional causal relationship from official foreign aid to real GDP per capita and bidirectional causal relationship between foreign direct investment and real GDP per capita, but there is no any causal relationship between other foreign capital inflows and real GDP per capita in Ethiopia. Thus, the study suggests that the government has to ensure that the capital inflows are linked to the productive sectors to optimize the benefits of capital inflows. Moreover, the government has to pursue policy device to mobilize domestic resources and to reduce over-reliance on capital inflows.

Analýza růstových parametrů selat

Vafková, Ivana January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this study was analysis of growth parameters in piglets. 40 first litters of sows gave data for study. Number of piglets, birth weight, weight at 14 days and weight at weaning were analysed with mathematics and statistics method and evaluated dependence of growth parameters of piglets. Especially influence of birth weight and sex on weight at 14 days and weaning and on average daily gain. Dependence of productive index of piglets and reproductive index of sows was studied. Results poited to influence of birth weight to weight at 14 days, weaning weight and average daily gain. With higher birth weight was higher weight weight at 14 days and weaning and higher average daily gain. Reproductive index and productive index shows to correlation between number of piglets and litter weight.
