Sociálně vyloučené lokality a jejich revitalizace; Případová studie: Ústecký kraj. / Socially Excluded Localities and Their Revitalization. Case Study: Ústecký Region.

Zoubková, Věra Thea January 2015 (has links)
The dissertation deals with the incidence and revitalization of socially excluded localities in a defined study area. The aim of this contribution is to identify and visualize the situation of the Ústecký Region in order to find common patterns of urban deprivation occurrence and to establish the guiding principles of revitalization policies in the Czech Republic. The research took place from September 2010 to June 2015. It combined qualitative and quantitative methods, in-situ and desk research. An analysis of primary and secondary data revealed 130 excluded localities in 42 towns and cities out of 354 in the region. The majority of deprived localities (87 %) can be found in highly urbanized areas. Two thirds of localities are small areas with up to 100 inhabitants. Socially excluded areas emerge in the centre, residential districts as well as on the outskirts of towns; however, three fifths of localities are not spatially segregated. Prefabricated housing estates are the largest and most populated deprived areas. Every other inhabitant of socially excluded localities in the Region lives in a prefabricated house. Brick houses are the most proliferated type of housing facility used as accommodation for socially excluded people. They can be found in every other deprived area. Vast majority of them was built before 1989. Family houses are deprived very scarcely; however, they belong to the most dilapidated part of socially excluded housing estate. Two thirds of localities have developed naturally, while the other third has been created by a regulated relocation of socially excluded people. Vast majority of deprived areas have existed for more than 5 years. Private property prevails. Half of the localities have entered the process of revitalization to improve the urban environment, human resources and security. Applied policies aim to keep the inhabitants in place and improve the quality of public space and service. However, involvement of residents in local regeneration policymaking is weak and ineffective. The renewal process depends on grants and subsidies. Europeanization is strong especially in big cities; nevertheless, most localities are small and therefore don't qualify for the sources of the built environment programs which prefer large areas of intervention. Results of revitalization process differ from one locality to another. Areas of housing and employment fall behind in particular. As far as property regeneration is concerned, the best owners are municipalities, house unit owners associations and housing associations. Not in one case, however, reaches the share of regenerated housing units 50 % of deprived properties. In any case, the market prices of local flats stay low compared with those of correspondingly equipped properties elsewhere in town.

Srovnání vlivu klasických masážních a aromaterapeutických technik na psychickou regeneraci žen / Comparing the influence of classical massage and aromatherapy techniques on mental recovery women

KAŇKOVSKÁ, Martina January 2013 (has links)
The dissertation dwells on problems of aromatherapeutic methods connected to psychological side of human, focuses on the comparison of classic and aromatherapeutic massage techniques and their influence on psychological regeneration, when women were chosen as the aim group. We can find in it a comprehensive knowledge of classic massage on the one hand, but as well as aromatherapy - it's history, definition and impacts. The indispensable part of that work is the characterization of terms related to psychological side of human, specifically with women going through menopause. I show in my work the possibility of application of aromatherapy in the context of spiritual regeneration of women. It happened to them irreplaceable and regular therapy and gained at each kind of anchoring in their lives.

Hojící se rána jako model pro studium buněčných interakcí. / Healing wound as a model for the study of cell interactions

Gál, Peter January 2015 (has links)
Healing wound as a model for the study of cell interactions Abstract Galectins play an important role in the processes of cell proliferation, differentiation, migration and extracellular matrix formation. Furthermore, galectins are able to transfer cellular signals and to participate in cell interaction. It has been proven that galectins play an important role in the microenvironment formation of a tumor and/or healing wound. This study demonstrated significant role of galectins, in particular Galectin-1, in wound healing and cell interactions (endothelial cells, fibroblasts and keratinocytes) forming a part of the granulation tissue and tumor stroma. We have demonstrated that the extracellular matrix rich on Galectin-1 creates a suitable environment for the cultivation of keratinocytes. Galectin-1 also induces differentiation of fibroblasts into myofibroblasts. The knowledge of above mentioned processes is important to better understand the complexity of cancer biology and its parallel to wound healing. Key words: tissue repair, regeneration, galectin, tumor

Analýza a návrh způsobu využití brownfields v bývalém areálu ABB EJF / Analysis and Proposal for the Use of Brownfields in the Former ABB EJF Site

Klimeš, Petr January 2019 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the current issue of reuse of "brownfields" in relation to the issue of sustainable development. The primary goal of the thesis is a detailed analysis and creation of a proposal for the best possible use of a particular brownfield in Brno. It is the former area of ABB EJF, which is located in the cadastral area of Ponava. For the proposal, it was necessary to first carry out a detailed analysis of the site with regard to the land-use plan of the city of Brno. The draft of the solution itself is processed in four possible variants due to their use. Subsequently, an economic evaluation of individual proposals is carried out, which are then compared with each other.

Regenerační potenciál progenitorů Sertoliho buněk v rámci poškození srdce u Xenopus tropicalis / Regenerative potential of Sertoli cell progenitors regarding heart injury in Xenopus tropicalis

Onhajzer, Jakub January 2020 (has links)
Cardiac failure is one of the leading cause of deaths worldwide. Potential therapeutic approach, which overcome invasive organ transplantation and delivery of immunosuppressive drugs, is lacking nowadays. However, research of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) therapy displays immunomodulation potential, which can further promote variety of organ regeneration without need of drug treatment. Xenopus tropicalis immature Sertoli cells (XtiSCs) culture was established in our laboratory from juvenile Xenopus tropicalis male. XtiSCs possess immunomodulatory capacity and differentiation to cardiomyocytes after the treatment with the inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3) CHIR99021. To test the survival rate of transplanted XtiSCs we firstly microinjected treated cells directly inside tadpole's heart. XtiSCs proliferated there for the whole tested time period (30 days). However, after direct heart XtiSCs injection and subsequent cardiac injury in adult frog, no cells were localized in wound area. Thus, we focused on remote control of cardiac regeneration using XtiSCs without CHIR99021 treatment. We injected cells inside skeletal muscle bed and confirmed their survival and proliferation. Moreover, if cells were transplanted 3 days before heart injury, it resulted in significant reduction of fibronectin...
