Vliv sauny na svalové napětí po fyzické zátěži / Effect of sauna om muscle tone after physical excercise

Dastych, Petr January 2011 (has links)
Title: Effect of sauna on muscle tone after physical excersise Topic definition: This thesis presents a pilot theoretical - empirical two-factor experiment, where the main subject of the experiment is to evaluate the effect of sauna on increased muscle tension after sport and its potential for use in physical therapy and recovery. Aim of the thesis: To provide a summary of theoretical knowledge related to the subject and to assess the impact of sauna usage on muscle tension occurred after short term maximal anaerobic excercise and compare it with passive rest. Methods: This thesis will be processed at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport on 6 individuals, who will be randomly divided into two equally large groups. The first three-person group will be a research one, the second three-member group will be the control group. Afterwards they will be subjected to a Wingate stress test. The experimental group will participate in sauna treatments and the control group in passive rest. Muscle tension will be measured before the load, after the load, and after the sauna / passive rest. Measurements will take place in a kinesiology lab at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. Measurements will be done by using a myotonometer and the data will be gathered via an analogue-digital converter and...

Úrazovost ve sportovní gymnastice žen / Injury rate in female artistic gymnastics

Blafková, Marie January 2011 (has links)
Title of thesis: Injury rate in female artistic gymnastics. Objective: Using the questionnaire method to discover what injuries are the most common in female artistic gymnastics, to ascertain if they occur more frequently during training or competition and whether coaches put emphasis on regeneration of their charges. Methodology: For the research, an exploratory method was used, via the technique of nonstandardized questionnaires with open questions. 15 questionnaires were sent by email, of which eight were returned, fully completed and further adapted. The results of the work: The result of the work is that the most injuries occur during the training cycle, fewer during the competitions. The greatest number of accidents occur in the age category around nine years old and the most problematic apparatus, according to the coaches, is the beam. The positive side is that in no case did coaches say that the female gymnast had to end her sporting career. On the other hand the biggest gap in the training process in almost all surveyed clubs is the follow-up regeneration. In many cases this is underestimated because the coaches often have no spare time. Keywords: female artistic gymnastics, body type, regeneration, injuries, vertebral problems, questionnaire.

Forgáčová, Katarína January 2013 (has links)
Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) have the ability of both self-renewal and differentiation. After bone marrow damage, surviving host HSCs or transplanted donor HSCs are able to restore hematopoiesis and maintain it for a long time due to the self-renewal potential. HSCs reside in a specific microenvironment in the bone marrow, in stem cell niche, which supports their survival and controls their functioning. In this study, we investigated the impact of bone marrow damage induced by increasing doses of irradiation on engraftment efficiency of transplanted donor repopulating cells. Using the CD45.1/CD45.2 congenic mouse model, we developed a new approach enabling estimation of surviving HSCs in damaged hematopoietic tissue. Its principle is in measuring of the donor chimerism resulting from transplantation of a defined dose of normal congenic bone marrow cells. The transplanted donor cells contain repopulating cells, progenitors (STRCs) and HSCs (LTRCs) that give rise to blood cell production which proceeds in parallel with that present in the host hematopoietic tissue. We applied this approach to monitor spontaneous regeneration of repopulating cells, including HSCs, in mice irradiated with a sublethal dose of 6 Gy or by a lethal dose of 9 Gy and rescued by syngenic bone marrow cells. This was...

Regenerace panelových sídlišť / Regeneration of panel housing estates

Lácha, Ondřej January 2008 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to find answers to following questions: how to quantify costs of regeneration of selected panel housing estates and how to plan the process itself. It is necessary to plan, or phase these very demanding activities because available resources are limited. We can observe a number of deficiencies in panel housing estates (for example: lack of parking space, unsatisfactory capacity in education etc.). Postponing regeneration may cause not only higher financial demands, but also social, technical, and environmental problems, and it is therefore necessary to solve these deficiencies as soon as possible. Based on a comparison with already regenerated areas and standards for technical and civic amenities, standards of housing for selected panel housing estates will be defined. It will be followed by a comparative analysis of a current state of panel housing estates with housing standards. This comparison results in a definition of requirements and quantification of costs required for regeneration of a given territory.

Úloha kmenových a progenitorových buněk v regeneraci krvetvorné tkáně / The role of stem and progenitor cells in regeneration of hematopoietic tissue

Faltusová, Kateřina January 2021 (has links)
Tissue regeneration is a complex and highly orchestrated process dependent on cells with the potential to restore structures and functions and on controlling factors from the tissue microenvironment. Hematopoietic tissue has a high ability to regenerate, which is attributed to the presence of stem cells, but the regeneration of severely damaged adult tissue is still only partially understood. Hematopoietic tissue provides a unique opportunity to study tissue regeneration due to its well-established steady- state structure and function, easy accessibility, advanced research methods, and well-defined embryonic, fetal, and adult stages of development. Embryonic/fetal liver hematopoiesis and adult hematopoiesis recovering from damage share the needto expand populations of progenitors and stem cells in parallel with increasing production of mature blood cells. We analyzed adult hematopoiesis in mice subjected to a submyeloablative dose (6 Gy) of gamma radiation, in which only a few cells with reconstituting capacity survived. We targeted the period of regeneration characterized by the renewed massive production of mature blood cells and the ongoing expansion of immature hematopoietic cells. Cells from the top of the hematopoietic hierarchy, hematopoietic stem cells, and multipotent progenitors are almost missing...
