Studium dynamického chování směsi H2O/D2O pomocí NMR relaxací / Study of dynamical behaviour of H2O/D2O mixtures by NMR relaxation

Dvořák, Petr January 2013 (has links)
Title: Study of dynamical behavior of H2O/D2O mixtures by NMR relaxation Author: Petr Dvořák Department: Department of Low Temperature Physics Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jan Lang, Ph.D., Department of Low Temperature Physics Abstract: The subject of this diploma thesis is the chemical exchange in the mixture of light and heavy water, which was studied by methods of high resolution NMR. The first part of this thesis concerns methodology of sample preparation and methodology of measurement of relaxation times of mixture of light and heavy wa- ter. Experimental complications with elution of ions from tube glass, degassing of samples, radiation damping and sample heating by radio-frequency pulses were solved there. In the second part of this thesis the relaxation parameters of chemical exchange of selected sample at various temperatures were measured. Interpretations of experimental data (ionization, molecular clusters and isotopic equilibrium) was suggested. Keywords: NMR, relaxation, water, dynamics, chemical exchange

Relaxace impaktních kráterů ve sluneční soustavě / Impact crater relaxation throughout the Solar System

Kihoulou, Martin January 2021 (has links)
Title: Impact crater relaxation throughout the Solar System Author: Martin Kihoulou Department: Department of Geophysics Supervisor: RNDr. Klára Kalousová, Ph.D., Department of Geophysics Abstract: In this thesis, we study the viscous relaxation of an impact-deformed icy shell of a dwarf planet Pluto. Motivation for this work is the position of Sputnik Planitia, a 1000 km wide, nitrogen-filled elliptic basin, which is located very close to Pluto-Charon tidal axis. Given this unlikely position on Pluto's sur- face, it was suggested that the basin was formed elsewhere and the whole body reoriented afterwards. For the reorientation to occur, the basin has to generate a positive gravity anomaly for which a combination of impact-related subsurface ocean uplift, ejecta blanket and accumulation of nitrogen ice was suggested. How- ever, to maintain the orientation towards the minimum principal axis of inertia until today, the ocean uplift must be present on timescales of billions of years, which may be achieved due to an insulating layer of high viscosity clathrates at the ice/ocean interface. We solve Pluto's ice shell evolution by the finite element method in 2D spherical axisymmetric geometry with an evolving free surface and assuming a viscous rheology. Our results show that the thermal effect of the im- pact...

Zvýraznění kontrastu pro rozlišení tkání a detekci kontrastních nanočástic metodami magnetickorezonančního zobrazování / Contrast enhancement for tissue discrimination and contrast nanoparticle detection by MRI

Bačovský, Jaromír January 2013 (has links)
Magnetic resonance imaging is a routine and powerful diagnostic technique capable of providing detailed information about the structure and composition of the tissues. This diploma thesis is concerned with the mechanisms of contrast origin and contrast modifications by molecular and nanoparticle contrast agents. First sections of the thesis summarize basic knowledge about pulse sequences and it aims to provide an overview on MRI contrast agent with a special emphasis on paramagnetic gadolinium contrast agents and superparamagnetic nanoparticles. The main purpose of this study is to develop the software called MRICalc, which is able to optimize contrast in MRI images. Based on analysis of signal formula of typical pulse sequences, MRICalc is able to propose the parameters of the pulse sequence for compartment-specific enhancement of the contrast. User chooses from the list of the samples and after calculation he obtains the values of echo time, repetition time and flip angle, all of which simultaneously seem to create the appropriate setting to enhance the contrast. MRICalc also allows to plot contrast function with respect to the chosen parameter. Software, including its graphical user interface, is designed in Python. The sample consists from solution of CuSO4 and distilled water was designed to verify the correct function of MRICalc. Sulphate represents a contrast agent. Preclinical MR system Bruker BioSpec 94/30 USR located at Institute of Scientific Instruments of the ASCR, v.v.i was used to measure contrast curve of FLASH pulse sequence, which is a typical representative of gradient echo. Results of the measurement were compared to the theoretical model provided by MRICalc.

Fyzická a psychická zátěž u sester na jednotkách intezivní péče / Physical and psychological stress for nurses in intensive care

Hroudová, Šárka January 2011 (has links)
A profession as a nurse is one of the most responsible and the most hazardous jobs. According to the statistic data a discipline of health care has the great number of "occupational diseases" cases and they are caused by overdone physical load and mental stress. The thesis targets are the assessments of the load related to the type of work, the awareness of nurses about the prevention against the undue physical load and the mental stress, the motivation and the satisfaction for the nurses at their work. The important parts are the options for a prevention and a reduction of the load and the methods of relaxation and rest. I used two types of questionnaires for my research, the first one was non standard which was focused on the individual targets and the other one was the standard Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire focused on finding a degree of burnout in individual cases. The research was carried out in General University Hospital and in Thomayer University Hospital in Prague. There were compared two departments- a department of internal medicine and a department of surgery in intensive care. The conclusions of my research are: H1: the increased level of load was found in both cases, in the department of internal medicine is dominant the mental stress and in the department of surgery it is...

Lokální změna diskriminačního čití nad myofasciálním trigger pointem / Myofascial Trigger point and Two point discrimination changes in MTrP region

Homolka, Pavel January 2010 (has links)
The main purpose of this thesis, called The local changes in discriminatory sensation above a myofascial Trigger Point, was to assess the relationship of a local nociception in the form of the myofascial Trigger Point to the local discriminatory sensation. Based on the theoretical information, hypothesis concerning the relationship of MTrP and two point discrimination were experimentally checked. The subject of the research was the trigger point trapezius pars ascendens. Localized MTrP was clinically evaluated in terms of both static and dynamic factors. Using a palpometer, its sensitivity by level of pressure generated pain (pressure generated pain threshold) was rated. The quality of two-point discrimination was rated as well. Furthermore it was also rated how a made isometric relaxation changed the sensitivity as nociceptive so discriminatory. Discriminatory sensation (attention threshold (AT-TPD), stable threshold (SSV-TPD)) in the region above the trigger point was measured by a mechanical caliper with modified tips radius of 1mm. Generally 23 probands were examined, 11 of them had simultaneously diagnosed a presence of the constitutional hypermobility. The results of the work confirmed that the made isometric relaxation had a significant influence on the change of thresholds discrimination of two...

Blahut, Jan January 2013 (has links)
Cyclam (1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) derivatives are widely used for various purposes. In a medicine they are applied as ligands for radiometals applied as diagnostic or therapeutic agents against tumours, hypoxic brain tissues etc. In this thesis a new method for asymmetric cyclam derivati- ves preparation was developed. New cyclam derivatives with trifluoroethyl groups were prepared too. Paramagnetic metal complexes with these fluori- nated ligands can be used as contrast agents for 19 F-MRI. Keywords: Cyclam; Non-symmetric protection; Contrast agents; Trifluoroethylamines; Paramagnetic relaxation; 19 F-MRI.

Sestavení a ověření programu dechových cvičení jako součást podpory duševního zdraví adolescentů ve výchovných zařízeních / Setting and verification of the program of breathing exercises for adolescents as a supporting structure for their mental health in educational institutions

AUTERSKÁ, Regina January 2014 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the effect of breathing and relaxation exercises on the mental health of adolescents in educational institutions as there is a lack of such free time activities. There were 9 participants from the Children's home Žíchovec in the age 1115 years in this research. They took part in a 12-week intervention program called "I breathe therefore I am", that was set according to the specifics of adolescence. The effect of breathing exercises to the human body and mind was monitored by the Biofeedback Shulfried 2000x-pert device, the Profile Of Mood States questionnaire and the "Unfinished Sentences" method. The acquired data were analyzed and statistically validated. The results confirmed positive effect of breathing exercises on reducing the affective states, deepening abdominal breathing and decreasing the pulse frequency. The intervention program was reccomanded as a part of the free time activities of adolescents in educational institutions.

Relax / Relax

Froncová, Tereza Unknown Date (has links)
The thesis deals with a topic of virtual relaxation and the contrast between idealized landscape and everyday reality. The theme of landscape compensation is very comprehensive and widely interacts with and impacts on psychological and cultural levels. For example, when images of nature represent a place of denied primary purity or the unreachable paradise. I draw my inspiration from YouTube channel phenomenon of relaxation videos which depict several hours’ long static views of the ideal landscape with authentic sound in the background. The aim of the work is to prepare a happening with a video recording, when the absurdly long journey in search of the ideal will not be transferable.
