Risk management is a process through which organizations are methodically devoted to the risks associated with their activities in order to get the biggest benefit from their business. It is also a rapidly developing field, where there is a variety of different approaches, methods, methodologies and standards in which may be little confusing. Therefore, this work offers a comprehensive and systematic view on the issue of risk analysis and management. Risk analysis is a cornerstone for effective security management of each company used for identification, description and quantification of risks, which should lead to acceptance of suitable measures for risk treatment. That is the reason why it requires a careful and methodical procedure described in this work. The main objective of this work is to analyse different approaches to risk analysis and management and thus highlight the importance of information security and protection of corporate assets. This approaches need to be understood as a different levels of detail of conducted risk analysis which will depend on initial maturity level (according to the CMM -- Capability Maturity Model) of information security process. The theoretical part of this thesis will explain relevant methodologies, techniques and procedure of risk analysis based on the ISO 27005 standard. From this part reader should learn what risk analysis is, what is it used for, how can it be carried out and what standards and methods can be used. The practical part will solve a real risk analysis project, which will demonstrate application of information obtained in the theoretical part.

Another objective is to identify specific features of the agricultural sector and to identify the risks that are unique to this sector. The identification and risk assessment of the significance of the selected business entity is part of the thesis. The main contribution of this thesis is processing of risk management. This section consists of the recommendations and proposals in the field of preventing and reducing the impact of risks on the business entity and suggestions for possible improvements of the current situation in order to increase the stability, resilience and flexibility of the entity.

Řízení rizik ve vybrané organizaci / Risk Management in an Organization

The thesis is focused on risk management in the selected company STRABAG, respectively its branch of building and civil engineering in the Ceske Budejovice. In the literary review the theoretical knowledge of risk; for example a definition of risk, approaches to risk, classification of risk, is described. Further, in the review the six parts of the risk management process are explained. Finally, the crisis management and planning and risk register are described here. Then follows the characterization and historical development of the organization STRABAG and its branch of building and civil engineering in Ceske Budejovice. This is followed by an assessment of its current state using the company guidelines and standards. To obtain detailed information about risk management in the organization an interview was conducted with the Economic Director of the organization. A questionnaire survey was also carried out. The questionnaire was filled out by the employees involved in risk management in the organization. In the next chapter changes to improve risk management in the organization are proposed. Here you will find an analysis of a real project of the organization with the suggestions for improvement that are recommended in this thesis. Finally, a process map and a training proposal for employees with its detailed quantification are included. The proposed changes should help the company to develop its risk management.

This master's thesis deals with the issue of risk management in the selected company, which focuses mainly on production of technical fabrics. The theoretical basis of the thesis includes the definition of basic concepts related to risk management, identification, analysis and evaluation, as well as the precise procedures established according to the relevant ISO standards issued by the Office for Technical Standardization, Metrology and State Testing. The following section describes the current situation in the company, including introducing a process that identifies and identifies risks. These are then evaluated by the FMEA analysis and measures are proposed to reduce, possibly eliminate the risks.

Hodnocení environmentálních rizik v průmyslovém podniku / Environmental risk assessment in industrial enterprise

Environmental risk assessment in industrial enterprise is important part of safety documentation required by legislation of the Czech Republic and of the EU. Despite that, there is given less attention to this part of risk analysis in the Czech Republic, than in the other countries of EU. Importance of this part is evident for a number of significant industrial accidents with impact to the environment. This Master’s thesis deals with the methods used in safety engineering for the environmental risk assessment, according to Act No. 59/2006 Coll., on the prevention of major accidents, as amended by later regulations. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part includes the legislative summary of Act No. 59/2006 Coll. on the prevention of major accidents, as amended by later regulations and requirements for owners, which result from this law. Further, the frameworks for environmental risk assessment in the EU and USA were evaluated and compared. Main part deals with the characteristics of selected (most commonly used in practice) methods for environmental risk assessment, evaluation of its usability and creation of compact process for environmental risk assessment in industrial enterprise in accordance to legislative requirements. In the final part, there is performed application of suggested process for environmental risk assessment in the concrete industrial enterprise.

<p>Budući da rezultati u budućnosti, zavise od odluka u sadašnjosti, ispitivanje uticaja sistematskih grešaka u logici odlučivanja je od velikog značaja. Predmet ovog rada je merenje rizika usled uticaja subjektivnih faktora u procesu procena i donošenja odluka u uslovima neizvesnosti. U dokazivanju hipoteza korišćene su metode klasične i fazi logike. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da se kod većine učesnika u proceni indeksa na finansijskim tržištima zemalja u razvoju, uočava uticaj ličnih sklonosti prema preteranom otpimizmu / pesimizmu i preteranom samopouzdanju. Na osnovu rezultata istraživanja predložen je holistički model i alat za buduće procene, koji uzima u obzir koeficijent samopouzdanja kao korektivni faktor u postupku donošenja odluke. Primena modela i alata kao podrška u odlučivanju je moguća kod svih vrsta evaluacija projekata u inženjerskom odlučivanju.</p> / <p>Results in the future depend on decisions in the present. Therefore examination of sistematic errors in logic decision making has high importance. The main objective of this work is risk quantification due to subjective influence in process of evaluation and decison making under uncertainty. The methods which are used are based on classical and fuzzy logic. The research results show that bias toward over opptimism / pessimism and overconfidence in emerging markets stock exchange exist in majority cases. Based on the results of the research are suggested holistic model and tools for future assessment, which take into an account overconfidence coefficient as corective factor in decison making process. The model and tools is possible to use as decision making support for all types of evaluation projects in the engeneering decisions.</p>

Cílem této práce je uspořádat a obohatit teoretickou základnu řízení rizik v projektovém managementu, analyzovat a zhodnotit přístup k této problematice dle metodiky PMBOK a poskytnout základní praktický pohled na řízení rizik ve skutečných projektech z oblasti IS/ICT. Vlastní text je strukturován do sedmi kapitol, z nichž první poskytuje úvod a vymezení celé práce. Ve druhé kapitole je proveden úvod do oblasti řízení rizik v projektech a dále analyzován přístup a základní principy metodiky řízení projektu PMBOK. Ve třetí kapitole je uveden seznam projektových rizik, který byl vytvořen a popsán na základě průzkumu literatury, diskusí s odborníky a praktických zkušeností autora. Ve čtvrté kapitole, která obsahuje řadu nových teoretických pojmů, jsou poté popsány autorem identifikované různé způsoby řízení rizik projektu podle jeho základních charakteristik. Pátá kapitola se zaměřuje na posouzení metodiky PMBOK vzhledem ke všem zjištěným typům rizik a identifikovaným způsobům jejich řízení a pokouší se o její doplnění. V šesté kapitole jsou konečně využity všechny poznatky získané ve všech předchozích kapitolách a je provedena jejich aplikace na oblast IS/ICT, mimo jiné pomocí vzorového příkladu obsahujícího některé autorem navržené analytické nástroje. V sedmé kapitole je provedeno závěrečné zhodnocení.

Razvoj metodološkog koncepta za upravljanje rizikom u sistemu opasnih materija / Development of a methodological concept for risk management in the system of hazardous substances

<p>Uvođenjem novih tehnologija raste potreba za dodatnim resursima, što se odražava na permanentni porast broja opasnih materija. Industrijski rizik je interpretiran kroz fenomen fragmentacije procesne opreme, dok su transportni rizici analizirani kroz model očekivanja akcidenata usled iskliznuća voza. Neizvesnost fragmentacione procene se kreće oko 12,5%. Visok procenat neizvesnosti transportnih akcidenata pokazuje da pouzdana procena rizika zahteva primenu naprednih metoda, poput Dempster-Shafer teorije.</p> / <p>Introduction of new technologies creates a growing need for additional resources, which affects the permanent increase in the number of dangerous materials. Industrial risk is interpreted through the phenomenon of process equipment fragmentation, while transport risks are analyzed through the model of accidents expectation caused by train derailment. The fragmentation estimates uncertainty is around 12.5%. A high percentage of uncertainties in transport accidents show that reliable risk assessment requires the use of advanced methods, such as Dempster-Shafer theory.</p>
