Rychlé zpracování aplikačních protokolů / Fast Processing of Application-Layer Protocols

Bárta, Stanislav January 2014 (has links)
This master's thesis describes the design and implementation of system for processing application protocols in high-speed networks using the concept of Software Defined Monitoring. The proposed solution benefits from hardware accelerated network card performing pre-processing of network traffic based on the feedback from monitoring applications. The proposed system performs pre-processing and filtering of network traffic which is handed afterwards passed to application modules. Application modules process application protocols and generate metadata that describe network traffic. Pre-processing consists of parsing of network protocols up to the transport layer, TCP reassembling and forwarding packet flow only to modules that are looking for a given network traffic. The proposed system closely links intercept related information internal interception function (IRI-IIF) and content of communication internal interception function (CC-IIF) to minimize the performing of duplicate operations and increase the efficiency of the system.

Architektura a správa zabezpečených sítí / Architecture and management of secure networks

Štangler, Jan January 2020 (has links)
This work is focused on the security of small to medium-sized networks with central administration, especially on the creation of a methodology for secure network design. The design of a secure network for a start-up IT company, using open-source software, is described. Deployment of the designed secure network, with central management, is performed and the connectivity of network elements are tested. The model simulates network traffic situations and network attacks using penetration testing techniques. In terms of the severity of the impact on network security, intercepted attacks are evaluated and immediately reported to responsible persons. Finally, the results of the intercepted attacks are processed and further actions are recommended.

Garcia Ramirez, Yudi Paulina. January 2019 (has links)
Waiting for the Cows to Come Home: A Political Ethnography of Security in a Complex World. Explorations in the Magyar Borderlands of Contemporary Ukraine

Simonyi, André 16 September 2013 (has links)
This dissertation explores the ways in which the everyday (in)securities of people in southwestern Ukraine can illuminate our understanding of contemporary political life. Rather than using traditional units of analysis or given categories—the state, the individual, identity—the dissertation focuses on relations between people in and connected to a single village to develop a novel framework for analyzing politics and the political. The dissertation opens with an interrogation of the practical and theoretical challenges associated with current conceptualizations of security; our understanding of the political; and the role of ethnography in theorization and presents a research design meant to address those challenges. Drawing upon extensive participant-observation and other immersion-based research in a post-Soviet borderland wedged between Ukraine and Slovakia, and using an analytical tool I call “togetherness,” the thesis presents an ethnographic account of social interactions, economy, and authority in this largely Hungarian-speaking rural area. The third part of the dissertation applies the idea of an ontological shift and draws on complex systems and structuration theory (Luhmann and Giddens, respectively) to rethink the ethnographic analysis and to highlight relationships between structural and existential realms of political life. Here, the concept of security becomes central to the theorization, and the overall argument illuminates the intimate relationship between the idea of security and the political. Ultimately, this approach allows us to expand the scope of political ethnography: theorizing beyond thick description; integrating broader perspectives without losing the texture of the local; and developing an approach to research that can be replicated in other settings.

Podpora výuky systémů elektrické požární signalizace / Support for instruction in electric fire alarm systems

Macinka, Jiří January 2008 (has links)
The master’s thesis „Support for instruction in electric fire alarm system” describes principles and engineering solution of electric fire alarm system. It is background for activity task about EPS for students in VUT in Brno. It illustrates how to act on this task and configuration fire panel and components EPS with the support of software FSP 5000. The practice contains proposal EPS with support in fire system designer.
