Med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer har empirisk data kopplats till den teoretiska bakgrunden, om de bakomliggande aspekterna som bidrar till fastighetsmäklarens professionskategorisering. Resultat & Slutsats: Resultatet visar att mäklarens strävan mot högre profession delvis försvåras till följd av glappet mellan teori och praktik, samt de odefinierade regel- och ramverk som mäklare har att förhålla sig till. Om den nya lagändringen istället hade varit förankrad i de reella utmaningar och faktorer som påverkar förtroendet och yrkesintegriteten för mäklaren, finns där stora möjligheter för yrkesgruppen att nå en högre profession. Uppsatsens bidrag till ämnet: Studien har bidragit med ytterligare förståelse för mäklarens profession och vad som förhindrar en högre kategorisering. Förslag till framtida forskning: Efterhand som lagändringen har blivit implementerad vore det intressant att studera vilka förändringar som fått genomslag i branschen och för mäklaren. / Title: Real Estate Agent as a profession - A study about the occupation´s professional categorization Level: Bachelor's thesis within Real Estate Science  Author: Jesper Arnshed Supervisor: Karin Staffansson Pauli Date: May 2021 Aim: Based on the benefits of reaching a higher profession, the aim of this study is to examine the real estate industry's view on the categorization of the broker´s profession. Method: This study has applied a qualitative research methodology. With the help of semi-structured interviews, additional dimensions have supplemented the theoretical background, about the underlying aspects that are derived from the real estate agent's professional classification. Result & Conclusions: The result shows that the brokers´ aim towards a higher profession is partly prevented due to the gap between theory and practice, and the undefined rules and regulations that brokers must deal with. If the new law change had instead been rooted in the real challenges and aspects that affect the trust and professional integrity among brokers, there are great opportunities for the occupational group to reach a higher profession.  Contribution of the thesis: The study contributed with additional understanding to the broker´s profession and what prevents a higher categorization. Suggestions for future research: As the changes in the law are implemented, it would be interesting to study what changes have had an impact in the industry and for the broker.

This master thesis deals with the problem of integrated libraries. The number of integrated public and school libraries has significantly increased over time. These libraries are integrated for different reasons, most often because of economic considerations. The goal of the thesis is to investigate librarians´ understanding and perceptions of the professional role in this type of integrated libraries. I have investigated how librarians see and interpret their own professional role, and what factors influence their perceptions in an integrated library.The three main questions are: How do the librarians explain their professional role in an integrated library? How does their professional role change because of the fact that they work in an integrated environment? What factors, according to the librarians, influence and/or change the professional role mostly? The data has been collected through interviews with eight librarians at integrated libraries. They were employed as public librarians, school librarians or had a combined job of a public and school librarian. The method I have used is a combination of qualitative interviews and literature studies. The analysis is based on the topics emerging from the interviews with eight respondents and the literature.The study reveals that the professional role of a librarian is influenced and changed by an integrated public and school libraries´ environment. In this environment, a public librarian usually has to diminish the role and functions of a public librarian and also play a bigger pedagogical role. Another factor that influences the librarian’s role is that a librarian experiences fragmentation of his role and duties that is stressful. It is difficult for the librarians to decide the right level of service for the visitors of the integrated library. Despite this, librarians like their work. The reason for this is that they have very different work issues and also a very close contact with users. The librarians also work with different categories of staff and users and this is also a factor that influences their professional role. It is also difficult to give hundred percent of ones attention to any of the professional roles if one person has to fulfil both of them. It is also very important that a written agreement (or contract) is produced to regulate the work and activities of the librarians in integrated libraries. A school, a school library, and a public library have to negotiate this written agreement in detail and it is very important that all components of an integrated library are represented in this agreement. / Uppsatsnivå: D

Titel: En fastighetsmäklares utbildningskrav samt profession -  En kvalitativ studie om hur fastighetsmäklarprofessionen påverkar  transaktionskostnader i Sverige och Australiens delstat New South Wales Nivå: Kandidatuppsats i ämnet Fastighetsvetenskap Författare: Ellen Andersson och Linn Baumann Handledare: Peter Palm Datum: Juni 2023 Syfte: Syftet är att bidra till ökad förståelse för hur fastighetsmäklaryrket i New South Wales och Sverige skiljer sig i sin profession samt hur detta påverkar dess transaktionskostnader. Metod: Denna studie har applicerat en komparativ kvalitativ forskningsmetodik. Med hjälp av litteratur-, samt datasökning har empiriska studier kopplats till den teoretisk bakgrunden, för att utreda professionaliseringen påverkan på transaktionskostnaderna inom fastighetsmäklaryrket i respektive land  Slutsats: Resultatet visar att fastighetsmäklaryrket i länderna skiljer sig. I Sverige uppfylls kraven för en preprofession och i New South Wales så uppnår fastighetsmäklaryrket endast en semiprofession. Studien visar vidare på att graden av professionalisering påverkar transaktionskostnaderna. Transaktionskostnaderna kan delas in i sökkostnader, förhandlingskostnader och kontrollkostnader. Yrkets professionalisering minskar sökkostnaderna, förhandlingskostnaderna och kontrollkostnaderna.  Professionaliseringen kan även öka kontrollkostnaderna.
