Distribuční strategie po otevření severní dálnice v ČR / Distribution strategy after opening the northern highway in the Czech Republic

Jindrová, Věra January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this work is to simulate and to try to predict a distribution strategy by opening the northern highway in the Czech Republic based on the current traffic flows and existing trends. The speedway R35 will be after the completion of all platforms the northern backbone route connecting Bohemia and Moravia. With an overall length of 260 km it will be the longest Czech speedway. Another attraction of this highway is the connection of four regional cities and six strokes crossing the motorway network. The prediction of traffic volume will have a task to reveal the simulation model of overt and covert traffic flows, including the approximate volumes of traffic. The author assumes that the completion of the R35 between Mohelnice and eastern Bohemia will have a strategic importance not only for relieving highway D1, but also due to the conversion of the distribution strategy in the whole country, including new opportunities for the construction of distribution centers strategically located.

Simulační modely a optimalizace při projektovém řízení / Simulation modelling and optimization in project management

Černý, Vít January 2014 (has links)
In recent years, the project management is very popular tool for management of companies and their processes, and this system is utilized in companies of practically any specialisation. In this diploma paper the principles of the project management are applied on a real construction project, which is one of the most common applications. During project preparation, another two disciplines of the operations research are applied on the precarious parts of the project; namely simulation modelling, and optimization via mathematical programming. Simulation modelling allows the analyst to predict behaviour of the modelled real system without the need for any time or costs to be spent on its observation. In this paper the simulation covers the system of vertical transport during execution of the project. Optimization is meant to set such parameters of any model in order for the watched criteria to reach optimal values. In this paper, the optimization is applied on total budget of the project to minimize the total costs.

Zaměstnanecké akciové opce a jejich oceňování podle IFRS 2 na úrovni fair value / Valuation of employee stock options in accordance with IFRS 2 at fair value basis

Červený, Martin January 2013 (has links)
This master's thesis is dealing with the topic of employee stock options (ESOs), primarily with the valuation of ESOs in accordance with the accounting standard IFRS 2 at corresponding fair value basis. The goal of this thesis is a critical analysis of the standard mentioned, with respect to the conditions of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part comes with the basic characteristics of employee stock options and explains how the traditional option-valuation models can be modified for the purpose of ESOs valuation. It is also concerned with discussion about fundamental features of the fair value basis necessary for the valuation process. The essential part of this thesis is the critical analysis focusing on the rationality of accounting methods, disclosure requirements and also on a theoretically correct determination of model inputs. Critical analysis is followed by case study aimed on evaluation of an authentic option plan. The practical part also demonstrates advanced methods of valuation using the Black-Scholes and the binominal models as well as the Monte Carlo simulation. In the conclusion, I present proposals for changes of the IFRS 2. According to the results of the critical analysis, supported by case study, greatest shortcomings were identified in the disclosure requirements. Proposals for changes are aimed mainly on this problem.

Analýza vlastností robustních odhadů / Analysis of Properties of Robust Estimates

Sládek, Václav January 2014 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the properties of robust estimates and to compare these estimates with regard to the properties between them. The analysis of properties depends on the type of a variable (continuous or discrete), its probability distribution, the range of random sample and the proportion of outliers in random sample. Comparing the properties in different situations will give "guidance" to determine which of the estimates is preferable in specific situations, and which of them should be rather avoided. An adjusted bootstrap method is used to obtain the estimates of properties estimates. The thesis is devided into two parts. In the first part, the parameter estimates, type and design of robust estimators and the bootstrap method are monitored. In the second practical part we determine the suitability of bootstrap to obtain estimates of the properties of robust estimators, followed by obtaining estimates of the properties of the estimates and compare them. At the conclusion of the practical part we observe and compare the values of bootstrap confidence intervals on real data on household income. The results of this thesis shows us, that the bootstrap method does not provide good estimates of the properties of robust estimators in all cases. The results also bring us to the conclusion that from a certain extent of random sample regardless of the number of outliers, you can choose from a robust estimate only on the basis of its value, properties of robust estimates are very similar. Contemplated robust estimates of variability are not suitable estimates in most cases.

Porovnání alternativních režimů provozu výtahů pomocí simulace / Comparison of alternative lift operation design using simulation

Jedlička, Martin January 2014 (has links)
The topic of this thesis is vertical transportation where multiple elevators are controlled by group traffic control. The elevators controlled by group traffic control are coordinated in order to work more efficiently than elevators that are only physically placed next to each other. The objective of this thesis is creation of a program, which allows modelling of operation of a lift triplex situated in Rajská building in Žižkov campus of the University of Economics in Prague. Applied method is discrete simulation performed in R software. Created script allows simulation of operation of elevators according to several described algorithms and subsequent comparison of their influence on the performance of the system. Using simulations the most suitable group traffic control is found and it is shown that shared memory used for cooperating units positively influence the service.

Aplikace simulace Monte Carlo při řízení bankovních rizik / Application of Monte Carlo simulation in risk management

Pelešková, Kateřina January 2016 (has links)
The global financial crisis of 2008, which forced the central banks around the world to defend a financial stability by using non-standard instruments such as quantitative easing, has resulted in, among other things, the fall of the interest rates to zero, and even to negative values in some countries, which has become the new normal in banking field. In this thesis, we focused on the Czech financial market, and we used the method of Monte Carlo simulation in the Vasicek model for the prediction of the future development of interest rates, both short and long maturities. The model shows that in the short term the rates may fall to negative values, but the prediction shows rising interest rates up to their own equilibrium. The 3-months and 6-months rates show surprisingly uncharacteristic behavior, where their long-term decline and higher volatility caused calculation of the equilibrium as a negative value in the Vasicek model. Than we apply the results in the model for calculating changes in the prices of bonds, which are negatively correlated with the interest rates, and we explore the repricing costs for the bondholders. Also, we will show that commercial banks may control the impact of the interest rate risk on capital by composition of financial assets in various categories, where the accounting classification of the instrument is critical to revaluation of the capital.

Systémový model řízení organizace / System model of organizations management

Černý, Michal January 2011 (has links)
Necessary for the existence of every successful organization is achieving its objectives. In order to achieve these objectives, the organization must be properly managed. In today's rapidly changing times, one of the key areas of managerial work is also use various tools to support management and decisive actions. One of these tools include model development and subsequent implementation of the model simulations. Models provide the ability to experiment with various decisions, and thereby provide a basis for establishing appropriate policies and strategies. And these models properties can be used in the management of organizations. For creation of models exist many different approaches. One of these approaches is systems approach, which is including system dynamics. The task of this text was to establish a framework for the formation of systemic management model any organization that would help managers to improve management of the organization. To achieve this goals is necessary to develope general model of organization elements, describe their possible links and determine methodology of creating a system model of the organization.
