Bakgrund: Reumatoid artrit är en kronisk och autoimmun sjukdom som påverkar lederna genom inflammation vilket kan leda till förstörelse av leder. Sjukdomen kan leda till både fysiska och psykiska begränsningar såsom smärta, fatigue och nedsstämdhet vilket kan leda till ett minska välmående.  Syfte: Syftet var att belysa vilket stöd patienter med reumatoid artrit önskar av sjuksköterskan.  Metod: Syftet undersöktes genom en litteraturöversikt av vetenskapliga artiklar med kvalitativ metod. Resultatet baserades på tio vetenskapliga artiklar, i analysprocessen användes Fribergs femstegsmodell. Resultatet: Litteraturöversiktens resultat påvisar tre huvudkategorier som visade vad patienten vill ha för stöd av sjuksköterskan; att skapa atrygghet, att kommunicera, att se individen samt nio underkategorier som utvecklar huvudkategorierna. Slutsatser: Litteraturöversikten visar att sjuksköterskan kan stödja patienter med reumatoid artrit på olika sätt med grunden att skapa trygghet, kommunicera och se individen. / Background: Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic and an autoimmune disease that effect the joints through inflmmation whick can lead to destruction of the joints. The disease can lead to both psysical and mental constraints such as pain, fatigue and depression which can lead to a reduced well-being. Aim: The purpose was to highlight what support patients with rheumatoid arthritis wish of the nurse. Method: The purpose was to examined throoug a literture review of scientific articles with a qualitative method. The result was based on ten scientific articles. In the analysis process, Friberg´s  five-step model was used.  Result: The results of the literature review revealed three main categories that showed what support patients wants from the nurse; to create security, to communicate, to see the individual and then nine subcategories that develop the main categories. Conclusions: The literature review shows that the nurse can support patients with rheumatoid arthritis in different ways with the base of creating security, communicating and seeing the individual.
