No. of bitstreams: 1 WalkysoSJ_DISSERT.pdf: 1722690 bytes, checksum: c91cde978dc7fb299b7363330ba2d411 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2012-03-23 / In this work was developed an information system to apply the concepts of CAD3D-BIM technology for the design activities of the furniture industry. The development of this system was based in an architecture comprised of two modules: a web interface to management the metadata of models from furniture's library and the combination of three-dimensional CAD software with a specific plugin to access the information from this model. To develop this system was also used a Data Base Management System (DBMS) designed to storage the information from models in a hierarchical way, based on concepts of Group Technology (GT). The centralization of information in a single database allows the automatic availability of any changes to all participants involved in a particular project when it‟s happens. Each module from system has its own connection to this database. Finally was developed a prototype from a 3D virtual environment to help create Virtual Reality projects in the web. A study from available technologies to create 3D web applications for execution in websites was done to support this development. The interconnection between modules and the database developed allowed the assembly of a system architecture to support the construction and exhibition of projects of the furniture industry in accordance with the concepts proposed by BIM (Building Information Modeling), using as object of study the furniture industry of state of Rio Grande do Norte / No desenvolvimento deste trabalho foi desenvolvido um sistema que permite a aplica??o de conceitos da tecnologia CAD3D-BIM em projetos da ind?stria moveleira.

The large amount of construction waste currently generated in Brazil demands new construction methods and more industrialized process. The Light Steel Frame (LSF) is one of those new methods based based on structural subsystems comprising steel properties, not ordering water or production of material in loco. Building and its management should be improoved. Building Information Modeling, or simply BIM, allows the planning design, building using and maintaing of building. Therefore, it is not necessary to have an application that includes all these tasks. By means of parameterized information, different applications can share the same information and generate results, a process known as interoperability. This work is mainly focused on developing a tool capable of modeling structures in LSF, performing a structural pre-analysis and also providing a means to enable interoperability with other software. To this end, we applied the SketchUp, which has a programming interface in Ruby language, and has data generation modules compatible with the interoperability needs. As a result, the generated tool in this work has achieved satisfactory performance, even though there are still many resources to be aggregated.

3D tombs modeling by simple tools

Aglan, Hassan January 2016 (has links)
New archaeological research was carried out between 2009 and 2011 by the Ministry of State for Antiquities (MSA) at central Dra’ Abu el-Naga. Joining the MSA excavation team in the field in 2009, the author has been studying the findings from this area since then. The excavation site is situated ca. 700 km south of Cairo, opposite the modern city of Luxor in Upper Egypt on the western side of the Nile. Dra\'' Abu el-Naga is the modern name of the northern area of the extended necropolis. Central Dra’ Abu el-Naga lies to the north of the causeway of queen Hatshepsut and just south of the German and Spanish concessions, overlooking the valley where a temple of Amenhotep I was once erected. The tombs are situated just below the hilltop of the middle range of the Dra’ Abu el-Naga hills Review And to reach fulfill this main objective, it was proposed in 2013 to follow these research objectives: Consequently one main objective was the recording of architecture of the new discovered tombs and the reconstruction of the original context of the objects, which formed part of their burial equipment. The overlying aim of the research is: Preparing plans of all the new tombs, and also sections and 3D views of two of the tombs as they are very complicated. To place the new tombs in their archaeological context. 2D drawings can be tricky for some people to read, but 3D model views are a universal language that anyone can understand. By using SketchUp Pro to get owners, researchers heads in the same direction.

Návrh bytu pomocí rozšířené reality / Flat Design Using Augmented Reality

Tuška, David January 2010 (has links)
This master's thesis is dealing with the usage of augmented reality for a layout of a flat proposition. The aim of this work is to create a system which detects markers on the walls using ARToolKit library. The position of the used in flat is determined by using the markers. Then the system disposes the user's position for operate with a camera in a 3D modelling program called Google SkretchUp. The system is consisted of a server and a client part. The server one copes with the incoming video in which it detects the markers and evaluates the position of user by the help of the markers. The client part of the system is represented by a plugin module for 3D modelling program Google SkretchUp. A client is asking the server for the positions of the user in the flat model and consequently he set the camera in the program Google SkretchUp according to these positions. The client is also asking for the individual pictures from the video which he shows against the background of Google SketchUp and thanks to this, he creates a view of a real scene extended of virtual objects.

Optimizing sunlight distribution in agrivoltaic systems for the Swedish climate

Daniels, Amanda January 2022 (has links)
Due to a rising land demand for the construction of large-scale PV-systems, there is increasing competition between energy and food production. A new emerging segment within the PV market called agrivoltaics is providing a contributing solution to this issue by co-using the land for both crop cultivation and PV energy. Agrivoltaics is a relatively new application in Sweden, so far there is only one research site in Kärrbo Prästgård, Västerås, which was built in 2020. This thesis aims to examine how the basic layout of a PV system affects the irradiance distribution of an agrivoltaic system located in Sweden. With the aim of reaching an effective light sharing to provide the crops with acceptable growing conditions while producing as much electricity as possible. Methodologically, this was done by performing optical light simulations for a big number of different PV layouts. The results show how the module row distance and the array height have the most significant influence on the total irradiance distribution throughout the year. Furthermore, by altering the clearance height and the system azimuth, the irradiance uniformity on the ground can be improved, which results in more similar growing conditions for all the cultivated crops. Arguments are also given for why it is helpful to consider the temporal distribution of the ground irradiance. This thesis has shown that there are PV system layouts that provide low degrees of shading for the crops cultivated on the ground beneath the modules. However, if agrivoltaics is a suitable application for the Swedish climate or not is still an open question. Economic analysis is needed to examine the profitability of agrivoltaic systems in Sweden, and experimental studies on how the shading from the PV modules affect the crop growth in practice would also be useful. In the result section, there are some example layouts given for different degrees of tolerated ground shading which can be used when planning for future agrivoltaic parks. The results generated in the optical light simulations will be accessible for future research. These data files can be found attached together with this report on the DiVA portal.
