IoT enables profitable communication between sensor/actuator devices and the cloud. Slow network causing Edge data to lack Cloud analytics hinders real-time analytics adoption. VRebalance solves priority-based workload performance for stream processing at the Edge. BO is used in VRebalance to prioritize workloads and find optimal resource configurations for efficient resource management. Apache Storm platform was used with RIoTBench IoT benchmark tool for real-time stream processing. Tools were used to evaluate VRebalance. Study shows VRebalance is more effective than traditional methods, meeting SLO targets despite system changes. VRebalance decreased SLO violation rates by almost 30% for static priority-based workloads and 52.2% for dynamic priority-based workloads compared to hill climbing algorithm. Using VRebalance decreased SLO violations by 66.1% compared to Apache Storm's default allocation.

Nous abordons dans ce memoire deux methodes d'exploration des tissus biologiques. Premierement nous presenterons une technique spectroscopique invasive d'investigation des tissus cerebraux profonds. Cette technique utilisant des sondes optiques en miniature tire partie de la forte retrodiffusion de la lumiere par les tissus biologiques. Ainsi, l'attenuation lumineuse qu'on mesure experimentallement contient des informations non seulement sur les proprietes de diffusion mais aussi sur les concentrations des chromophores qu'ils contiennent. Le resultat est la posibilite d'envisager la mise en oeuvre d'une methode d'observation directe de certains paramatres hemodynamiques dont la saturation tissulaire en oxygene ou la concentration en hemoglobine totale. Deuxiemement nous presenterons une methode d'imagerie des tissus biologiques en particulier de l'oeil: la tomographie optique coherente. Sa technique tire partie de proprietes de coherence de la lumiere. Ainsi, l'interference constructive des faisceux lumineux provenant de deux bras d'un interferometre de type Michelson donne naissance a un signal contenant des informations sur la reflectivite provenant d'un domaine spatial de la cible limite par la longueur de coherence de la source. En utilisant ces bases theoriques nous avons mis en oeuvre un system OCT rapide utilisant un scanner resonant.

The increasing global demand for critical raw minerals is increasing the demand for expansion of the mining industry, requiring quicker issuance of environmental and mining permits while maintaining sustainability standards. Social License to Operate (SLO) is crucial for gaining local support for mining projects. The EU's increased influence on member statesmineral policies through the Critical Raw Mineral Act (CRMA) could lead to local power shifts and conflicts. This study examines how CRMA affects local power dynamics and conflicts, focusing on two mining projects in Sweden to investigate the local impacts of the EU's CRMA and its effect on SLO. Using a qualitative case study approach, the study applies MacPhail et al.'s (2022) theoretical framework, focusing on process legitimacy, value compatibility, and expected distributional outcomes. The findings indicate that CRMA may negatively impact SLO and may lead to reduced power for indigenous populations and increased conflicts among stakeholders. The study highlights the need for inclusive, transparent, and fair permitting processes to secure SLO and minimize conflicts, emphasizing the importance of integrating indigenous rights and values in political decisions and permitting processes to support democratic and sustainable development in the mining industry.

Tato práce se zabývá multimodální registrací snímků sítnice z různých skenovacích zařízení. Multimodální registrace umožňuje zvýraznit prvky na snímcích sítnice, které jsou důležité pro detekci různých typů onemocnění oka (jako je glaukom, degradace nervových vláken, degradace cév, atd.). Teoretická část tvoří zhruba první půlku práce a je následována praktickou částí, která popisuje postupy při různých typech registrací snímků z fundus kamery, SLO a OCT. Registrace fundus a SLO snímků je provedena pomocí prostorové transformace. Tato práce popisuje tři různé metody registrace SLO snímků se snímky z fundus kamery. První a zároveň nejjednodušší je manuální registrace. Druhou je automatická registrace založená na metodě korelace. Výsledky, včetně porovnání obou metod, jsou uvedeny v závěru. Třetím typem je poloautomatická registrace, která využívá výhod obou předchozích metod a tím pádem je kompromisem mezi rychlostí a přesností registrace. Registrace fundus snímků a B-scanů z OCT je realizována dvěma různými metodami. První je opět založená na korelaci a druhá na prostorové transformaci. Všechny tyto registrační metody jsou realizovány také prakticky v programovém prostředí Matlab.

The diploma thesis is focused on an analysis of the first sentences of newspaper articles namely from an aspect of the topic-focus articulation, which is expressed in Czech primarily by word order. The word order depending on the increasing communicative dynamism of words in the sentence might be changed from an objective word order if new information follows known or before mentioned information into subjective word order resulting in a reverse order. E.g.: The CEZ group showed record profit of 52 milliard CZK last year, a reverse word order: (literal translation) Record profit (Obj) of 52 milliard CZK the CEZ group(Subj) showed last year. In our thesis, we describe the above mentioned changes and we determine sets of cases comprising the modifications and we attempt to specify kinds of rules and principles resulting in different word orders. The sentence in the case of the subjective word order begins with an object, an adverbial of time, place, or condition. Anyway, not always a sentence constituent at the beginning of the sentence indicates the subjective word order. A significant role in the analysis is played by head- lines, which affect considerably the result. We focus ou attention on sentences expressing a placement on the scene.
