Normas e conflitos: a efetivação do mercado de trabalho na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, 1888-1920 / Norms and Conflicts: the effectuation of labour market in the city of Rio de Janeiro (1888-1920)

Lima, Jeansley 04 November 2016 (has links)
The study on formation of capitalism in Brazil comprehend different approaches in its historical process and of society organisation. It proposes to exam the initiatives of labour work controlling through state action: to identify the correlation between struggles and demands from industrial labour movement and the legislative agenda around regulation and addition of social rights; and to understand the workers behaviour who sought, through judicial actions, the reposition of rights they alleged had being supressed. It came to a conclusion that the fixation of work market in Brazil pos-1888 preserves parameters similar to urban slavery occupational structure, regardless of the structural changes occurred in the new configuration of the urban space and legal framework. The institutional breaking of the slavery system did not destroy the means of insertion of the workers into market. Furthermore, the surveillance and controlling strategies did not prevent the social norms that is part of the adopted strategies of the working class regarding the work relations to be effectuated.

Social Image of Fictions by Yang Kui

Ke, Hong-Cen 01 September 2011 (has links)
¡@¡@The literature of Yang Kui clearly reflects his perception and expectation towards the social-reality life at the time. Yang Kui casts his ideas into literature as a manifestation of social consciousness and literature. Nonetheless, what is the major discussion of social consciousness for the literature of Yang Kui? Which social issues are presented from his literature? Has he proposed any kind of mindset for social reform among his works? Most importantly, what is the origin of his social thought? What shall be the outlook when we conduct research on these issues through social science other than from literature fields? ¡@¡@The paper applies ¡§Culture Research Method¡¨ as the research approach in attempt to analyze the formation of social thought by Yang Kui through literature, history and sociology dimensions, as well as incorporating social thoughts into literature. With regards to analysis on literature and history, the novels published by Yang Kui before his death is used as the scope of the paper analysis with historical review on the content of novels and life course. With regards to the sociology with basis from the ¡§National System: Social Theory¡¨ proposed by Lorenz von Stein and interpreted by Daw-Yih Jang, the social issues portrayed from Yang Kui¡¦s novels and the methods of social reform proposed are hence communicated. ¡@¡@With regards to the origin of the Yan Kui¡¦s social thoughts, all books regarding to political or thinking were subject to tight control due to the Japanese colonization over Taiwan. / This paper seeks to contextualize the discipline of Law and Social Legislation in the courses of social work and its importance for academic and professional training of social workers, drawing a parallel between the course curriculum since 1936 to the current curriculum guidelines. The motivation of the work is due to some theoretical framework regarding the same, as well as his apparent detachment from the rest of the curriculum, in an apparent case of no dialogue and interaction with other disciplines. The research was conducted through literature review and documentary analysis of the menus for the object of study, as opposed to the theoretical, in a line of historical-dialectical research, a qualitative approach. This process required raising the number of higher education institutions (HEIs) offering the course in the country, and because of the number of school units, it was decided to use as a parameter university in the state of São Paulo. The size of the data verified the diversity of educational proposals that permeate the teaching of discipline, but responding vaguely to the proposal of the Curricular Guidelines of 1996 and the same is also presented. Finally, it suggests a new menu for the discipline in question.

Social impact of mining

Nkosi, Lolah 03 July 2015 (has links)
LL.M. (International Law) / Mining is an activity which contributes greatly and positively to a country’s economic development by creating job opportunities, development of roads, health care centres and educational facilities. However, mining in certain instances can also have a long lasting negative environmental and social impact on communities. The focus of this dissertation will be to address those instances where mining has a negative social impact on the communities where such mining projects are taking place. The negative social impact of mining in certain cases is regarded as a universal phenomenon. Citizens of many countries where mining activities take place i.e. “mining counties” especially in the under-developed, developing and countries with economies in transition, such as Ghana, Mali, South Africa and Tanzania in an African Continent are confronted with an array of negative consequences associated with the negative social impact of mining activities. However this does not mean that other continents are immune from this. Asian countries such as Paupau New Guinea, India, and China are also faced with the negative social impact of mining.

La législation sociale du Second Empire / Social legislation of the Second Empire

Werba, Nicolas 12 December 2018 (has links)
This thesis is entitled social legislation of the Second Empire. Since the dichotomy imposed by Ernest Lavisse, the Second Empire is traditionally divided into two periods : an authoritarian and a liberal. Such a change of direction is usually explained by the loss of the traditional support of the regime. Trying to seduce the working electorate, the government then decided to launch into a more ambitious social legislation. Such a scheme considers the acceleration of the social measures of the second half of the reign as a simple detailed answer to an unfavorable political context; social legislation of the Second Empire leaves little to overall consistency. It is precisely such a presentation that this thesis wished to question. For that, it proposed to redraw the history of the social legislation of the regime, from its origins to the last projects of power interrupted by the Franco-Prussian War.Well, this study underlines that Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte, from his earliest youthful writings, turned his attention to the social question. His solutions in this area are based on two essential principles : order and progress. By promoting prosperity and economic development, stability was considered by the future Emperor as the first remedy for the difficulties of the working classes. The order regained, Napoleon III then wanted the adoption of more ambitious social measures. Thus, far from being guided by external constraints, social legislation of the Second Empire is actually part of a logic defined from the origins of the regime, forming a coherent whole.

Coerção e consenso: a questão social, o federalismo e o legislar sobre o trabalho na Primeira República (1891-1926) / Coercion and consent: social question, federalism and legislate on the job in the First Brazilian Republic (1891-1926)

Oliveira, Lucas Goulart 26 November 2015 (has links)
This dissertation deals with the social question and labor and pension legislation in the Brazilian First Republic and it comprehends the period of the 1891 Constitution until its review in 1926. Taking as a starting point primary sources such as the Anais da Câmara dos Deputados and the Diários do Congresso Nacional, as well as mainstream and working class contemporary newspapers, we seek to demonstrate what Federalism is. We also aim to determine how the disputes between the regional elites are more relevant to the late approval of social legislation at federal level by the parliamentary elite than a defensive character of legislators or a docile and inert behavior concerning the legislative power, subservient to the executive power.
