Most operating systems implement their own power management techniques, but it is hard to modify or hack their power policies without the source code. Many dynamic power management architectures have been proposed in the literature, but they are not integrated with the underlying OS power manager. In this work, we proposed a software framework for user-level power management, with a flexible architecture to be adapted to different policies and integrated with OS power managers and validated its feasibility with a case study.

Řešení protierozní ochrany na modelovém povodí matematickým modelováním. / Solution of erosion protection at the model basin using mathematical modelingKŘÍHA, Jan January 2010 (has links)
The contents of this thesis is an examination and assessment of erosion processes in the catchment Budského stream. The area of interest falls into three cadastral territory, Malče, Besednice a Soběnov. Catchment area is 7.1 km2. Integral part of work is the pedological and hydrological research. It was evaluated the impact of waste in the surrounding villages. In the catchment basin, has a significant influence Besednice reservoir. It was assessing its impact on the environment and erosion control functions. Using the acquired information has been calculated N-year water and the amount of drifted soil by Wischmeier and Smith. Another goal is to process this data using software modeling and evaluate output. Against this background and the results are recommended measures to reduce soil loss from these plots.

Návrh využití vývojového rámce Scrum a modelovacího jazyka UML pro zefektivnění tvorby webových stránek. / The proposal to use agile development procedures of Scrum framework with UML modeling language applicable for creating websitesKučera, Antonín January 2013 (has links)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is the proposal to use agile development procedures of Scrum framework with UML modeling language applicable for creating websites of small scale. The emphasis is especially put on creating a practically usable type model of the websites. The theoretical part of the thesis has two main chapters. In the "Agile methodology" chapter are listed principles of agile approach to creating software. The next part of this chapter is focus on agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, ASD, FDD, DSDM, LD and Crystal). In the "UML" chapter is introduced modeling language UML and its principles. The next part of this chapter is focus on UML diagrams used in practical part of this thesis (use case diagram, class diagram, sequence diagram, activity diagram and deployment diagram). The practical part of this thesis focuses on the design type model for creating websites of small scale. The type model is based both on the theoretical part of this work and practical experience of the author. In the first part is introduced scheme of model, where is shown the mutual relationship of individual phases. In the next part of this chapter are discussed the individual phases where is used the principle of agile development framework Scrum and examples of use of the UML diagrams.

Integration testing of object-oriented softwareSkelton, Gordon William 08 1900 (has links)
This thesis examines integration testing of object-oriented software. The process of integrating and testing procedural programs is reviewed as foundation for testing object-oriented software. The complexity of object-oriented software is examined. The relationship of integration testing and the software development life cycle is presented. Scenarios are discussed which account for the introduction of defects into the software. The Unified Modeling Language (UML) is chosen for representing pre-implementation and post-implementation models of the software. A demonstration of the technique of using post-implementation models representing the logical and physical views as an aid in integration and system testing of the software is presented. The use of UML diagrams developed from the software is suggested as a technique for integration testing of object-oriented software. The need for automating the data collection and model building is recognized. The technique is integrated into the Revised Spiral Model for Object-Oriented Software Development developed by du Plessis and van der Walt. / Computing / D.Phil. (Computer Science)
