Poetika vybraných her Ronalda Schimmelpfenniga uvedených na českých scénách v kontextu současného německojazyčného divadla / The poetics of selected plays by Roland Schimmelpfennig performed on Czech theatre stages in the context of the contemporary German-speaking theatre

Celárková, Michaela January 2013 (has links)
This thesis presents the work of a contemporary German playwright Roland Schimmelpfennig in a wider context. In the main chapter, the author focuses on the analysis of five Schimmelpfennig's plays that have been performed also on Czech theatre stages. The analysis emphasizes the elements of a dramatic structure that Schimmelpfennig uses in an innovative way: epization of texts, unrealistic treatment of dramatic time, elements of magic realism etc. The author also pays attention to a general characteristic of a contemporary German-speaking theatre with respect to the topics that it deals with. A significant part of the work is devoted to classifying Roland Schimmelpfennig's work in the historical and theoretical context of a contemporary German-speaking theatre. A book called Die Rückkehr der Helden by a German author Nikolaus Frei, which questions some opinion on the recent development of theatre presented in a book Postdramatisches Theater by Hans Thiese Lehmann, has become a crucial source for this thesis. Nikolaus Frei copes with the question of animateness/inanimateness of theatre and by using extracts from particular dramatic texts by contemporary authors proves a possible continuity of mimesis, realistic acting and conflicts on the stage until the 21st century. In conclusion, it is possible...

Motiv "zoufalců" v současném českém dramatu / Motive of "losers" in contemporary Czech drama

Jilemnická, Adéla January 2018 (has links)
This master's thesis concerns itself with the motive of "despair" in contemporary Czech drama. It includes an analysis of selected plays written after 2000 by leading Czech authors belonging to the middle generation (Petr Zelenka; David Drábek; Jiří Pokorný; Petr Kolečko; Tomáš Svoboda; Lenka Lagronová; Iva Klestilová, born Volánková). The aim of the thesis is to analyze these dramas, to define characteristic elements and to determine whether we can identify a clear "desperate people" motive within their characters, deeming it a characteristic feature of contemporary Czech drama written by the middle generation. Using a comparative method we explore typical repetitive motives of the characters - anti- heroes, which suffer from having an unfulfilled personal life, a feeling of loneliness or a midlife crisis. The master's thesis describes the causes and manifestations of despair of the characters, as well as the solutions the dramas offer to the bleak situation (insanity, suicide, miracle). KEYWORDS contemporary Czech drama, motive of "losers", in-yer-face theatre, Petr Zelenka, David Drábek, Jiří Pokorný, Petr Kolečko, Tomáš Svoboda, Lenka Lagronová, Iva Klestilová (Volánková)

Autorská pohádka v současné české literatuře pro děti / Author's fairy tale in contemporary Czech literature for children

TURKOVÁ, Jana January 2011 (has links)
Annotation The theme of this diploma thesis is Czech author fairy-tale from 1989 onwards. The first three chapters deal with general information on author fairy-tale, its reader and its history. In the fourth chapter we reflect on original Czech children's books published after 1989 and attempt to describe the current state and developing trends. We selected several representative fairy-tale books and divided them into three principle types of the contemporary Czech author fairy- tale. The imitative-innovative type is closest to the folklore tradition, the nonsense-parodical type is based on parody or negation of the folk fairy-tale, and the imaginative type is based on symbol, metaphor and allegory. We identified another type of modern fairy-tale and called it the fairy-tale mixed into a real story. It comes out of the nonsense-parodical type and sits on the edge between fairy-tale and real prose. The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the main trends in contemporary Czech author fairy-tale and to apply them to the selected children's books.
