Acredita-se que ler literatura é ação essencial, impulsionada pela descoberta do novo, do sentido, da fantasia, do enigmático, do prazer e da fruição. Na escola, a leitura de textos de literatura infanto-juvenil vem sendo trabalhada pelo professor muitas vezes de forma didatizada, tendo anulado o seu potencial estético, criativo e libertador. Essa prática, quando mecanizada, não é suficiente para incentivar a formação do leitor, pois desconhece as possibilidades e a importância dos espaços que colaboram para esse fim. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo principal analisar como os espaços que mediam a leitura na escola são utilizados. Identificamos dois espaços de mediação nas escolas municipais de Presidente Prudente - a Biblioteca Escolar e o Canto da Leitura. O primeiro, utilizado por todas as escolas, as vezes aberto à comunidade; o segundo, mediado pelo professor, por estar dentro da sala de aula. Consideramos como mediadores de leitura, os professores e os "bibliotecários". Dezoito (18) escolas municipais foram visitadas e o corpus da pesquisa foi composto por sete (7) instituições escolares que trabalham com as séries iniciais. A partir de um questionário, pudemos conhecer as concepções de leitura de 63 professores, que embora coerentes com uma proposta que visa à formação de leitores, após as análises revelaram-se contraditórias e vazias em relação às ações docentes que subsidiam a prática pedagógica para o ensino da leitura, facetas de um discurso inconsistente. Da mesma forma, pudemos conhecer o perfil dos sete (7) "bibliotecários" das escolas pesquisadas. Entrevistas semi-estruturadas com esses profissionais permitiu entender sua formação... It believes reading is essential action, driven by the discovery of the new, of the direction, of the enigmatic, of the pleasure and the enjoyment. In the school, text readings are being developed by the teacher for several times of a schooling way, having annulled its esthetic potential, creative and liberating. This practice, when mechanized, it is not enough to encourage the reader formation, because he/she does not recognize the possibilities and the importance of spaces that collaborate to this purpose. This research had as main aim to analyze how the spaces that mediate reading in the school are used. It was identified two spaces of mediation in the municipal schools of Presidente Prudente-The School Library and The Reading Space. The first, used by all the schools, sometimes opened to the community; the second, mediated by the teacher, that is why he/she is inside the classroom. It was considered as reading mediators, the teachers and the "librarians". Eighteen (18) municipal schools were visited and the corpus of the research was composed for seven (7) schools establishments that work with the first grades. Based in a questionnaire, we could know the reading conceptions of 63 teachers, that although coherent with a purpose that aims readers formation, after the analysis revealed contradictory and meaningless in relation to teaching action that subsidize pedagogical practice for reading teaching , facets of a inconsistent speech... Para isso são utilizados os postulados de teóricos como Osman Lins (1976), Gaston Bachelard (1980), Michel Butor (1974) e George Poulet (1992). Mostraremos de que forma essa categoria rompe com o limite de meras descrições permeadas de detalhes e transforma-se num elemento de revelação e, consequentemente, de significativa importância para a construção do sentido dessa narrativa. Analisaremos imagens de ambientes e dos móveis e objetos que os decoram, na tentativa de colocá-los como elementos simbólicos e plurissignificativos que permitem, inclusive, que se capte o olhar irônico do narrador perante as questões sociais do final do século XIX. Objetivamos, assim, discutir as diversas definições e funções que o espaço pode receber e por meio de um estudo das imagens que o compõe nessa narrativa queirosiana mostraremos de que forma e com que intensidade a categoria se metamorfoseia e se manifesta sob as mais variadas nuanças participando ativamente da construção do conflito dramático / Abstract: This paper proposes an investigation of space O primo Basílio, by Eça de Queiroz. A abordagem ambientou-se no município de Americana/SP e investigou a presença dos inúmeros brownfields resultantes da crise econômica que, a partir da década de 90, atingiu a cidade que se constituía num dos grandes pólos nacionais da indústria têxtil. Através de técnicas de Cartografia Digital procedeu-se ao mapeamento da indústria têxtil e posterior análise da evolução sócio-espacial dessa atividade. Três setores de cadastro foram selecionados para o detalhamento da pesquisa. Assim, foram elaborados mapas temáticos, correspondentes às quadras que abrangem brownfields têxteis, integrando-se os dados das imagens videográficas às informações do cadastro e das fotografias aéreas de 1978 e 1996. As técnicas de Sensoriamento Remoto, em especial a videografia, demonstraram eficácia na discriminação de alvos urbanos e na caracterização dos imóveis. Devido a alta resolução das imagens, as feições presentes nos lotes foram facilmente discriminadas, com uma média de 92% de acertos entre os três setores, identificando-se 19 brownfields. Complementando a pesquisa, houve a aplicação de questionário junto à população das áreas analisadas, visando perceber a relação dos moradores com os galpões abandonados. Com base nos mapeamentos e resultados dos questionários foram elaboradas propostas de revalorização dos brownfields, compatíveis com a realidade local. / Abstract: This thesis if bases on a research whose basic objective was the development of methodology of Remote Sensoriament to identify, to mapping and to characterize textile brownfields. The boarding was it occurred in the city of Americana/SP and investigated resultant the innumerable presence of brownfields of the economic crisis that, from the decade of 90, it reached the city that if to constitutet one of the great national polar regions of the textile industry. Through techniques of Digital Cartography it was proceeded the mapping from the textile industry and posterior analysis of the social evolution of this activity. Three sectors of cadaster had been selected for the detailing of the research. Thus, thematic maps had been elaborated, correspondents to you square them that enclose brownfields, combining the data of the videography images to the information of register in cadastre it and air photographs of 1978 and 1996. The techniques of Remote Sensoriament, in special the videografy, they had demonstrated effectiveness in the discrimination of urban targets and the characterization of the property. Had the high resolution of the images, the characteristics gifts in the lots easily had been discriminated, with a average of 92% of rightness between the three sectors, identifying 19 brownfields. Complementing the research, it had the application of questionnaire next to the population of the analyzed areas, aiming at to perceive the relation of the inhabitants with the abandoned sheds. Resumo: Em meio às transformações contemporâneas, as cidades necessitam adequar sua dinâmica social, econômica e espacial para se adaptarem ao mundo globalizado. Percebe-se, então, uma grande especialização dos espaços e, no caso da metrópole, sua funcionalidade manifesta cada vez mais sua articulação com as economias regionais e nacionais, tornando-se lugar estratégico no contexto da globalização. Provedora de serviços especializados para suprir as necessidades de seu entorno, a metrópole também necessita possuir serviços de hospedagem para acolher os fluxos gerados pelos negócios que ali acontecem. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo geral analisar as implicações do turismo de negócios e eventos no município de Campinas, a partir de sua configuração como sede de uma região metropolitana, por meio de um estudo de seu setor hoteleiro. Analisando as características deste setor, a partir de sua multifuncionalização, esta pesquisa reflete sobre como vem se constituindo tal atividade econômica na cidade. A metodologia para sua elaboração teve como base o método dialético, fundamentando-se na teoria estruturalista preconizada por Santos (1997), que elege quatro categorias de análise do espaço - forma, função, estrutura e processo. Com base na pesquisa realizada, concluiu-se que o turismo em Campinas é, predominantemente, relacionado a negócios e eventos, apresentando boas condições de atendimento, além de que, os recentes fatos ocorridos no cenário econômico de Campinas desenham um quadro promissor à consolidação desta cidade como um destino de turismo de negócios e eventos. / Abstract: Amid the contemporary transformations, cities need to adjust its dynamic social, economic and space to adapt to the globalized world. It is perceived, then, a great expertise in the spaces and in the case of the metropolis, its functionality increasingly obvious with its national and regional economies, becoming a strategic role in the context of globalization. Provider of specialized services to meet the needs of its surroundings, the city also needs to have hosting services to accommodate the flow generated by businesses that happen there. This research aims to examine the general implications of the tourism business in the city of Campinas, from its setting as the seat of a metropolitan region, through a study of its hotels. Analyzing the characteristics of this sector, from its multifunction, reflects on how this research has been providing such economic activity in the city. The methodology for its preparation was based on the dialectical method, based on the structuralist theory advocated by Santos (1997), which elects four categories of analysis of space - form, function, structure and process. Um movimento que produz um constante encontro com "o outro", como também atualizações de mecanismos para (re)inventar o outro e (re)inventar-se a si mesmo. A escola é, no entanto, uma instituição que celebra a característica do trabalho com saberes e do sedentarismo: fixam formas de ser, de se relacionar com o mundo, de se usar o território. Outras tantas instâncias culturais - imagens, filmes, jornais, propaganda, televisão, multimídias - também são potentes domínios pedagógicos que, de uma forma ou outra educam, apresentam modos de ser e sentir que atravessam suas enunciações verbais e visuais, modulando subjetividades. Isso faz com que a educação geográfica aconteça nos mais distintos espaços do mundo contemporâneo. Este trabalho objetiva discutir tais problemáticas e compreender a migração no período contemporâneo, a partir da busca de um "olhar atento" a enunciações verbais e, especialmente os visuais, que tomam as pessoas que se deslocam no território (em especial aquelas que deixam a região nordeste brasileira) como objeto de regulação e os inserem em determinadas trajetórias, histórias, lugares, acontecimentos. As relações em funcionamento nos enunciados que fazem referência ao imigrante e seus correlatos, em geral, estão imersas num imperativo de unidade e mesmidade que dilui as diferenças e faz uso da produção da imagem de "outros" indivíduos como estranhos. Por se constituírem de práticas, os enunciados produzem modelos de relações sócio-espaciais, como o preconceito pelo lugar de origem como uma destas estratégias para produção da noção de espaço dada não pela diferença, mas pelos opostos, aniquilando as possibilidades de heterotopia... A movement that produces a constant encounter with the "other" as well as mechanisms updates to (re)invent the other and (re)invent himself. The school is an institution that celebrates the characteristic of knowledge work and sedentary lifestyle: set ways of being, of relating the world and to use the territory. Many other cultural instances - pictures, movies, newspapers, advertising, television, multimedia - are also powerful educational fields that educate in one way or another, presenting ways of being and feeling going through their verbal statements and visual modulating subjectivities. This makes geographical education happens in widely different areas of the contemporary world. This paper aims to discuss these issues and understand the migration in the contemporary period, from the search for a "watchful eye" to verbal statements and especially the visuals, which take people moving into the territory (especially those who leave the region Northeast Brazil) as the object of regulation and fall into certain trajectories, histories, places, and occurrence. Relations operating in the statements that make reference to immigrants and their correlates, in general, are immersed in an imperative of unity and sameness that dilutes the differences and makes use of image production of "other" individuals as strangers. By consisting themselves of practices listed produce models of socio-spatial relations, as prejudice as the place of origin of these strategies to produce the notion of space is not given by the difference, but the opposite, destroying the possibilities of heterotopia. Thus, we believe that the experience of migration has caused disruptions in our models of space, spatial identity; we call attention to the importance of "looking" for the changes... Nestes romances, o espaço como cenário estático e objetivo é ultrapassado para dar vez à representação da problemática existencial do homem e, por isso, necessita ser entendido ontologicamente em sua relação com o ser. Neste caso, só ganham relevância os seres e os objetos que se aproximam ou se distanciam do homem com vistas a participar de seu projeto existencial. Cada indivíduo revela o sentido e a inteligibilidade dos objetos materiais no momento em que estes objetos se integram aos seus propósitos e intenções. Nas obras de Dourado e Rulfo, as personagens constroem diversos e diferentes espaços, muitos deles contraditórios e excludentes entre si. Tais espaços equivalem a formas do desvelamento das zonas sombrias da alma humana, o que faz com que os ambientes regionais se convertam em centros onde a solidão, a incomunicabilidade e a morte sejam as únicas presenças constantes. Trata-se, portanto, de demonstrar, nos romances, a maneira pela qual o espaço deixa de ser o elemento sólido e estático para se revelar um componente expressivo de concepção filosófico-existencial, que implica não apenas diferentes formas de percepção da realidade externa como também o desdobramento imprevisível das possibilidades de instauração de uma realidade não subordinada à lógica do mundo causal. / Abstract: The present study argues on the construction of space in the novels Ópera dos Mortos by Autran Dourado (1967) and Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo (1955) as well. In both novels the space, as an objective and static scenery, is transposed in order to give place to the representation of the existential problematic of mankind, thus, it should be understood ontologically in its relation to the human being existence. In such a case, the relevance is played only on beings and objects that either come close or go far from mankind, always with the purpose of participating in their existential project. Each individual reveals the meaning and the intelligibility of the material objects, in the right moment such objects integrate themselves to their own purposes and intentions. The characters of Dourado and Rulfo's novels build up several and different spaces, many of them considered contradictory and one excluding the other. Such spaces aim at uncovering the obscure parts of the human soul, what makes the regional environments turn into centers in which loneliness; incommunicability and death are the only constant presences. Therefore, based on the plot of the novels, the aim of this study is to show that the space is not a solid element anymore, but, in fact, it reveals itself as an expressive component, part of an existential philosophic conception that embraces not only different forms of perception of external reality, but also, the unpredictable development of the possibilities of establishing a reality not subordinated to the logic of the casual world. / Doutor

Identifica e descreve a atuação dos homens, instituições, meio ecológico e principalmente das firmas, representadas neste trabalho, como Operadores de Turismo, enfocando principalmente a atuação e relação das Operadoras localizadas nos grandes centros e as Agências Receptivas, localizadas na cidade de Bonito. Analisa a transformação de município com características rurais para um destino de turismo internacional, tentando descrever a "nova" identidade sócio-cultural perante a nova realidade econômica, voltada basicamente para o turismo, e a intervenção decorrente dos próprios turistas e de novos investidores que chegaram com o desenvolvimento da atividade no local. A partir de procedimentos metodológicos, principalmente qualitativos, busca-se compreender a relação de poder entre os Operadores de Turismo na comercialização do destino turístico, fundamentado em discussões teóricas sobre território e territorialidades. O trabalho é caracterizado como um estudo de caso, que discute e analisa a atuação e posicionamento das Operadoras e das Agências Receptivas em uma relação de poder na comercialização do destino frente ao mercado nacional e internacional. Analisa também, as relações existentes com as instituições locais, principalmente na gestão do turismo na região, regulamentado por legislações locais e iniciativas que dão ao destino uma dimensão positiva quanto à oferta de um produto de ecoturismo diferenciado no mercado buscando sempre o benefício com o desenvolvimento sustentável. Relata a organização social e política do destino, dando ênfase à gestão, na criação e exigência do Voucher único para a visitação nos atrativos turísticos e a obrigatoriedade.. It identifies and describes the human action, Institutions, Environment and mainly the Enterprises, represented in this work by the Tour Operators, focusing the performances and also the relations among Tour Operators of big centers and Receptive Travel Agencies of Bonito-MS. It analyses the transformation process of a rural town into an international destiny, trying to describe the "new" Social-Cultural identity by a new Economic reality, basically focused on Tourism, as well as on the intervention resulted from the tourists themselves and new investors who just moved to the town due to the local development. Throughout the methodological procedures, especially the qualitative ones, the present work tried to understand the empowerment relation among the Tour Operators in the trading process of the Touristic destiny. It was based on Theoretical discussions about territory and territorialities. It is characterized as a Case Study and it discusses and analyses the action and positioning of Tour Operators and Receptive Travel Agencies in a empowerment relation into the Trading process of the Destiny by the National and International market. It also analyses the existent relations among the local institutions, especially the ones concerned to the Tourism Management in the region, regulated by local legislations and initiatives that give to the destiny a positive dimension, considering an offer of a differentiated ecotourism product, always looking for a sustainable development benefit. As três partes que compõem esse estudo abordam, respectivamente, o porquê de se escrever um ensaio, bem como suas peculiaridades; os espaços vividos ou sonhados e seus contornos históricos ou literários, dentre os quais a obra luftiana se faz presente; e a obra continua, porém mais focalizada, a ser a temática da terceira parte. A intenção é, pois, escrever um estudo que contribua para ampliar a oferta de estudos sobre a escritora. / Abstract: This essay constitutes a reading of the novel O quarto fechado, by the writer Lya Luft, inquiring into the meaning of the room in the conditions of human life and showing the attachment of man to spaces, of the room as a theme of existential experience and aesthetics in literature, and as a metaphor of what is unsoundable to us. The three parts that comprise this study approach, respectively, the reason to write an essay, as well as its peculiarities; the lived or dreamed spaces and its historical or literary outlines, among which the luftian work is present; and the work continues, however more focused, to be the theme of the third part. Devido a essas transformações, o dengue se modificou, adaptando-se a esse novo meio. O aumento do número e do tamanho das cidades, que ocorreu de forma perversa, o rápido e intenso fluxo de pessoas e materiais e a degradação da saúde pública em todo mundo contribuíram para que essa doença se tornasse uma pandemia global em meados do século XX. No Brasil, ela retornou após 60 anos depois de erradicada, causando muitos problemas e a morte de várias pessoas. A hipótese do trabalho é que a distribuição e a incidência do dengue no Brasil foram, e estão sendo afetadas pelas transformações socioespaciais advindas da consolidação desigual do meio atual, que propiciou sua reemergência no território nacional e a emergência do dengue hemorrágico como um grande problema de saúde pública. O objetivo principal constitui em analisar a reemergência do dengue no Brasil e sua relação com as mudanças socioespaciais advindas da expansão desigual do Meio Técnico-Científico-Informacional e os processos de globalização no país, comparando diversas escalas geográficas. Também foi analisado os principais determinantes em escala nacional, bem como uma proposta de tipologia do dengue no Brasil, elecando as principais variáveis explicativas da doença no território / Abstract: The several socio-spatial transformations brought by the uneven expansion and consolidation of the technical-scientific-information environment since the Second World War had an effect in the whole world. Due to these transformations, dengue has changed to adapt to this new environment. The disease's etiological agent is a virus, and the main vector is an urban mosquito with preference of human blood and extremely adapt to the social space. The perverse way that the growth of cities occurred, in both, number and size, the intense and fast flow of peoples and goods and the degradation of public health in whole world contributed to make that this disease became pandemic worldwide in the middle of the twenty century. In Brazil, it returns sixty years after been eradicated, causing many problems and the death of several people. The work hypothesis is that distribution and incidence of dengue was, and still is been affecting by socio-spatial transformations brought by the uneven consolidation of the actual environment, that has provided it's re-emergency in national territory.
