Off-ice tester för att utvärdera snabbhet on-ice : En korrelationsstudie av olika upprepade sprinttester

Syfte Syftet med studien är att undersöka korrelationen mellan cykeltestet "repeated 5 second cycling sprint test" (R5sCST) samt off-ice testet 36 meter upprepade sprinter (OfI) mot on-ice testet 33 meter upprepade sprinter (OnI). Samtidigt vill vi se om R5sCST kan utvärdera skridskosnabbhet samt undersöka om OfI kan användas som en alternativ testmetod med samma syfte. De frågeställningar vi besvarar är, – Finns det en korrelation mellan R5sCST och OnI? - Finns det en korrelation mellan OfI och OnI? – Är R5sCST och OfI relevanta testmetoder för att utvärdera förmågan till upprepade sprinter on-ice? - Finns det andra testvärden som kan förutse snabbhet on-ice? Metod 3 tester har genomförts, ett cykeltest (R5sCST), ett on-ice test (OnI) och ett off-ice test (OfI). Testerna genomfördes på Bosön och i Björkängshallen vid två olika tillfällen, det var 2 dagar mellan testtillfällena. Testtillfälle 1 genomfördes R5sCST och OfI på Bosön, testtillfälle 2 genomfördes OnI i Björkängshallen. 18 stycken ishockeyspelare på junior elitnivå testades. Försökspersonerna (FP) var mellan 16 och 18 år gamla och har en idrottslig bakgrund inom ishockey som motsvarar 11-13 år. Resultat Studien visar att såväl medelvärdena samt de högst uppmätta effekt värdena hos varje FP från R5sCST testet korrelerar med medel- och högsta värden på OnI. Studien visar även en starkare korrelation mellan OfI och OnI. Slutsats Efter genomförd studie kan det konstateras att R5sCST, trots att det inte efterliknar ishockeyns krav fullt ut i arbetstid/vilotid, är ett reliabelt test för att utvärdera snabbhet on-ice. Det framkommer även i studien att OfI har större korrelationer till OnI än vad R5sCST har, vilket innebär att även OfI är ett högst reliabelt test för att utvärdera snabbhet on-ice. Förutom större korrelationer så är även OfI mer lämpat för lag och föreningar att använda sig av då det är enklare att utföra och mindre kostsamt än R5sCST. / <p>Ämneslärarprogrammet, Specialidrott</p>

Strength, Endocrine, and Body Composition Alterations Across Four Blocks of Training in an Elite 400 M Sprinter

The ability to produce force rapidly has the potential to directly influence sprinting performance through changes in stride length and stride frequency. This ability is commonly referred to as the rate of force development (RFD). For this reason, many elite sprinters follow a combined program consisting of resistance training and sprint training. The purpose of this study was to investigate the strength, endocrine and body composition adaptations that occur during distinct phases of a block periodized training cycle in a 400 m Olympic level sprinter. The athlete is an elite level 400 m male sprinter (age 31 years, body mass: 74 kg, years of training: 15 and Personal Best (PB): 45.65 s). This athlete completed four distinct training phases of a block periodized training program (16 weeks) with five testing sessions consisting of testosterone:cortisol (T/C) profiles, body composition, vertical jump, and maximum strength testing. Large fluctuations in T/C were found following high volume training and the taper. Minor changes in body mass were observed with an abrupt decrease following the taper which coincided with a small increase in fat mass percentage. Jump height (5.7%), concentric impulse (9.4%), eccentric impulse (3.4%) and power ratio (18.7%) all increased substantially from T1 to T5. Relative strength increased 6.04% from T1 to T5. Lastly, our results demonstrate the effectiveness of a competitive taper in increasing physiological markers for performance as well as dynamic performance variables. Block periodization training was effective in raising the physical capabilities of an Olympic level 400 m runner which have been shown to directly transfer to sprinting performance.

Ruscher mellan fotbollsspelare i olika divisioner och hur ruscher korrelerar med gjorda mål : En jämförande analys på de lägre svenska fotbollsdivisionerna / Sprints between football players in different divisions and how sprints correlate with goals : A comparative analysis of the lower Swedish football divisions

Bakgrund: Ruscher är en vanlig aktion som fotbollsspelare utför under fotbollsmatcher. Flera studier har undersökt ruschers roll i diverse situationer på fotbollen med olika resultat. Däremot finns det en kunskapslucka då inga studier på amatörfotbollsspelare har identifierats. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka mängden rusher som herrfotbollsspelare genomför mellan tre olika lägre divisioner under ordinarie seriematchspel samt undersöka om mängden ruscher påverkar antalet gjorda mål. Metod: För datainsamlingen användes accelerometrar av modell Actigraph GT3X+. Datamaterialet från accelerometrarna laddades ned till excel i sekundformat. I Excel skapades ett program som räknade ut antal cykler på minst 4 sekunder med över 200 counts i rad. Datan analyserades genom Kruskal-Wallis samt med parvisa Mann-Whitney tester för att upptäcka skillnad mellan grupperna. För att se korrelationen mellan antal mål och antal ruscher genomfördes Spearmans korrelationstest. Resultat: Signifikanta skillnader i antal ruscher hittades mellan divisioner. Ingen signifikant korrelation hittades mellan gjorda mål och antal ruscher. Slutsats: Slutsatsen är att det finns skillnader mellan divisionerna i utförda ruscher. Division 3 och 5 genomför i snitt lika många ruscher, men division 5 spelare har en större variation mellan spelarna i mängden utförda ruscher. Resultatet för studien visar också att antal ruscher inte korrelerar med antal mål vilket kan indikera att det inte är antal ruscher som avgör mål, utan andra faktorer såsom kvalitet och hastighet på ruscherna. / Background: Sprints is a regular action that football players perform during matches. Many studies have researched the variation of sprints in different football divisions with different results. There is no research found on sprint performance between amateur divisions in football which this study aims to research. Purpose: The purpose with this study was to compare the amount of sprints male football players carry out between three different lower Swedish football divisions during ordinary series matches. Adding to this, the study aims to also examine if the amount of sprints performed in matches is also affecting the amount of scored goals. Method: For the data collection, accelerometers of the model Actigraph GT3X was used. The data from the accelerometers were downloaded to excel in 1 second cycles. In excel a programme was created which counted the amount of cycles with at least 4 seconds with over 200 counts in a row. Data was analyzed through Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests to see if there was a significant difference between the groups. To see the correlation between the amount of goals and number of sprints the Spearman's correlation test was used. Results: Significant differences in the amount of sprints were found between divisions. No significant correlation could be found between scored goals and amount of sprints. Conclusion: The conclusion of the study is that there are differences between the divisions in performed sprints during matches. No significant differences were found between Division 3 and 5 players in the number of sprints performed, but division 5 players had a bigger variation in the amount of sprints performed. The result for the study also shows that the amount of sprints are not correlated with the amount of scored goals which can indicate that it is not the amount of sprints that is the deciding factor for goals but instead other factors like quality and speed off the sprints.

Muscle contributions to body mass center acceleration during the first stance of sprint running

The best results in a sprint running are based upon covering the distance in the shortest possible time, and therefore performance has to be maximized. To achieve the best performance, the sprinter has to develop the greatest forward acceleration, reach his/her maximal speed, and keep it over the run. The greatest anteroposterior acceleration is generated in the first stance of a sprint due to the greatest propulsive force production. Thus, the first step was selected to study induced accelerations by the main muscles of the lower limb. Since a wider step width was founded out to help with force generation during long foot-ground contacts, an elite sprinter with a wide step width was selected. Ankle plantarflexors were the main contributors to body propulsion and support, while knee extensors decelerated forward propulsion but induced medial accelerations. Hip extensors and hip adductors did not offer a remarkable contribution to body COM acceleration in any direction.

The master´s thesis focuses on design of underground sprinkler tank for a shopping centre Sconto in Hradec Králové. The purpose of this thesis is to design and to analyse all parts of this construction. These parts are the roof, the bottom plate and the wall, which is represented by secant piles. Due to the high level of the ground water which causes a great pressure on the bottom of the tank, the solution of the bottom plate represents very important part of this thesis. There were used two programs for an analysis, Scia Engineer 2013 and FIN EC – Beton 3D. Furthermore, the work contains a view and a brief description of methods used for sheeting of foundation pits of a circular cross-section. In the end, this thesis contains the design of two other solutions of bottom plate and its economic comparison.
